I like it. Its simple, and can be explained with crayons, a must if its ever to get the attention of congresscritters or your average american.
PS: Everyone agrees the government budget needs to be cut, but then freaks if the rate of increases looks for a second like slowing down.

“When we add up the true size of the federal workforce — civil servants, postal workers, military personnel, contractors, grantees, and bailed-out businesses — and add in state- and local-government employees — civil servants, teachers, firefighters, and police officers — we reach the astonishing figure of nearly 40 million Americans employed in some way by government. That means that about 17 percent of the American labor pool — one in every six workers — owes its living to the taxpayer”.
Taken from an article posted on On The Mark Written by Ian Murray from the Competitve Enterprise Institute. I did not want to post the whole artcle but here’s a link:

Tell me there is no where to cut a government that supports 40 million people. Tell me that there is no waste here. Tell me that all of these jobes are necessary. I will tell you that you sre fill of shit. I wish someone had the balls to walk up to the President, a regular person, not some phony politition and just tell him that he is full of shit.

With the radical increase in the size, and scope, of the federal government over the past decade, and the fact the bastards can’t figure out how to cut ANYTHING, just “slow the growth,” it doesn’t matter.
This bullshit just doesn’t matter.
One day, our union-prison guards and administrators, are going to find out about reality in the same way our SNAP recipients, students and nurses will.
Our money will be worth shit and the store shelves will be empty and millions will wake up and realize that people like me were not just Chicken Littles and Conspiracy Nuts.
Until then, it just doesn’t matter as it is obvious that the only solution left is that nothing material can, nor will, happen until the day the world – and the 1%’ers – say it does.
What fun.

It’s the small victories, my friend, at this point.

THE FACTS
— The article says the operational cost is $26.8 billion.
— The article says HALF of that amount ($13.4 billion) is staff manpower.
— The article says the staff consists of 4,660 people.
THEREFORE,
—- The salary of each person is calculated thusly; ($13.4 billion / 4,660)
THEREFORE
—- Each person makes $2,875,536
——– [NOTE 1: This assumes all numbers are annual]
——– [NOTE 2: Assuming a 20 year span, annual salary per person is still $143,776]
THEREFORE IN CONCLUSION
—- I am leaving TBP immediately
—- I am joining the fucking Navy !!!!!!!!!!!!
—- SeeYa !!!!!!

Stuck,
You forgot to mention that you get to retire after 20 years service. Too bad you didn’t go in when you were 18; you’d be retired at 38 with a huge government pension, all the healthcare benefits you could stand, and be on easy street. It’s even better than being a union government drone, if that’s possible. Well, union government drones make 60% more than everyone else and retire at 50, so it’s a toss-up. What to do with the $220 trillion in unfunded liabilities?
And,
I want to know how many drones you could buy instead of buying an aircraft carrier!

Bostonbob says:
The Navy drone aircraft that crashed in rural Maryland Monday likely will cost the military branch nearly $200 million at a time when the military’s budget is shrinking.
The Navy Broad Area Maritime Surveillance unmanned aircraft went down near Bloodworth Island, Md. There was no injury or property damage, but the Navy’s coffers and its efforts to develop and field drone aircraft to assist with naval and Marine Corps operations took a big hit.
“The total acquisition cost of the planes is projected to average roughly $175 million each,” says Todd Harrison, a senior defense budget analyst at the Center for Strategic and Budgetary Assessments. “To put it in perspective, that’s about the cost of a brand new Boeing 787 [airliner].”
From DOTMIL also the average cost of a drone is slightly less that the regular military planes:

According to Stuck’s number, and my calculating ability,
you could have 6400 drones for the price of one aircraft carrier ($26B). Each hellfire missile costs about $80k right?
You could massacre a lot of Republicans with 6400 drones.
