It’s called corporate fascism. Bankers, mega-corporations, billionaires and captured politicians rule this country. They will cheat, steal and loot at will because they can. You are the sucker, in case you were wondering.

Thanks For The Bailout, Suckers! GM Builds A New Plant In China

Written By : John Hawkins

As a general rule, corporations should be able to build plants where they want, whether it’s in America or elsewhere. Moreover, if they choose to go overseas, we should be asking, “Why is that?” Are our corporate taxes too high? Do we have too many regulations? Is there something else that we can do as a nation to be more business-friendly, to keep building plants here in America, so that we can employ more people and rake in more taxes?

GM in China

However, it’s a little different with a company like General Motors.

Taxpayers lost more than 10 billion bailing out GM because Obama thinks it’s fine for his corporate allies to embrace capitalism on the way up and socialism on the way down. Now, GM’s taking some of that money that it pilfered from us and it’s building a plant in China with it.

General Motors Co. GM +1.36% said its Shanghai GM joint venture received permission from Chinese authorities to build an eight billion yuan ($1.3 billion) factory to manufacture its Cadillac brand, boosting the auto maker’s ambition of becoming a larger player in China’s booming luxury-car market.

“We’ve decided that the luxury market is going to grow and we want a bigger share,” said Dayna Hart, a spokeswoman for GM in China.

Barack Obama’s union pals did great and China’s doing great, but how did American taxpayers make out? We got looted. Here’s an idea: To hell with the new plant in China, how about paying that money to taxpayers to cover some of what we lost?

U.S. AIRCRAFT CARRIER FLEET – THE NEW MAGINOT LINE

The French built the Maginot Line after World War I in order to keep the Huns from rampaging across their countryside in the next war. The French were fighting the last war of foxholes, barbed wire and frontal assaults across no-man’s land. The German panzer divisions easily went around the Maginot Line and isolated the defenders while sweeping into Paris and a quick defeat of the French army.

The U.S. continues to pour billions into building new aircraft carriers that fight the last war. Technology will dominate the battlefields of the future. A $10 million missile will put these $30 billion aircraft carriers at the bottom of the ocean. The Chinese don’t need to spend $1 trillion per year maintaining their empire. They can concentrate on producing technologically advanced weapons that will deter the U.S. from interfering in their sphere.

History offers lessons that we never seem to learn.

China’s ‘carrier-killer’ missile challenges dominant US

To counter the dominance of US aircraft carrier battle groups in the Western Pacific, China is developing a new type of guided missile with a range of between 1,500 and 3,000 kilometers.

The Dongfeng-21D will be guided by China’s newly launched Beidou navigation satellite system, which can spot and track target aircraft carriers, and will carry an armor-penetrating tip. They will be deployed at the Guangzhou Military District.

The navigation system uses 16 satellites and covers the majority of East Asia’s seas. The missiles would be capable of going halfway to Hawaii, creating a viable threat to American military bases within its range, from Japan to Guam.

Washington is eager to learn how many of the missiles China has, how many are being built, where they will be deployed, how accurate they are, and how they will use them in conjunction with their cruise missiles.

The PLA has reportedly test-fired the missiles at targets in the Gobi desert, where they made a direct impact with a velocity of Mach 5 and pierced the equivalent of six decks of armor, according to reports from Russian sources.

The most impressive aspect of the new missiles is the guidance system which accurately directs the missile to its target despite traveling at five times the speed of sound, say analysts.

The Center for Securities Studies at ETH Zurich, Switzerland, said that Dongfeng-21D is vulnerable however to attacks or interference using electronics beams. The center questioned if Washington is willing to invest the time and money in thorough electronic warfare research.

China has taken pains to develop hi-tech weapons in the hope of being able to match the US, the strongest naval power in the Asia-Pacific region.

Military analysts note that China is unlikely to become a military power before 2020, but could eventually challenge US dominance.

A heroic bus driver from Jiangshan safely stopped a vehicle carrying 26 passengers at the roadside after a collapsed lamppost smashed through the windshield. The driver, Mao Zhihao, suffered a ruptured spleen in the accident, but immediately rose to his feet and steered the bus to the roadside before evacuating passengers and reporting the accident to police. He is currently undergoing treatment for a ruptured spleen at a local hospital.
