“Read Ludwig von Mises, Motherf**kers!” – Brazilian UFC Fighter’s Victory Speech Pumps Austrian Economics

While the Middle East wobbled on the precipice of World War III on Saturday, a Brazilian UFC fighter gave us hope by using his victory speech to deliver an emphatic endorsement of Austrian economics, Ludwig von Mises, the First Amendment and gun rights.

Renato Moicano’s televised speech came after he pulled off a comeback win over Jalin Turner at Las Vegas. Joe Rogan joined him in the ring to discuss the fight, but Moicano had other priorities, and proceeded to drop a profanity-peppered liberty bomb on the T-Mobile Arena crowd and a worldwide audience:

“I’m a huge advocate of the First Amendment. Today, of course I want the $300k bonus but they not going to give [it to me] because somebody say, ‘hey, this is fucking Disney, you cannot curse’…so I’m not going to do my speech, but…

Every Sunday morning we present selections for our TBP family to enjoy.

We present symphonies, ensembles, quartets, octets, etc.

Not all of our music is strictly ‘classical’. We may stray a little, but we strive to make all of our selections ‘classy’.

We offer tips on proper ‘symphony etiquette’ and even some selections that are a bit light-hearted and fun aimed at a younger audience. Those pieces will be so designated, and might be a good way to introduce kids to a world of music that they might not have been exposed to or think of as old and ‘stuffy’.

A full symphony will run as long as it will. We don’t want to cut a symphony short. However, we also include some shorter pieces that we try to keep under fifteen minutes in length. You can sample each and hopefully find one or more that pleases you.

COVID Pandemic Made the Rich Even Richer — Wait Till You See What the WHO Is Planning Next

Rather than fiddling around with sanitation, nutrition and the endemic infections that kill people, the WHO is focused on hypothetical but far more profitable stuff like Disease X — the next pandemic — guided by the corporatists who will benefit.

Relax for a few minutes, sit back, and pretend morals and business ethics are redundant.

Then imagine an infallible, risk-free business scheme in which you get to create the market, decide the product, manage its regulation and then have the power to confine people to their homes or remove their income until they submit to buying it.

And no one can sue you or take you to court if it all goes wrong.

No legitimate government would allow that within its borders (except perhaps a few family-run or completely totalitarian ones), so aim higher and make this international, as it then ceases to be fantasy.

On Tuesday night I got a call that my daughter was in the ER at a hospital in NYC. She’s in her final semester at college there and had been transported by ambulance after fainting in her dorm. I immediately packed a few things and headed out on the next train due to arrive at midnight.

When I arrived and finally found her she’d already been given an IV and several bags of Ringer’s solution for her dehydration- turns out she’d come down with pneumonia- and was waiting for me to arrive in pretty good spirits, all things considered. I sat with her and while she rested I read to her- Charlotte’s Web because it was always her favorite as a child and I thought it might put her in a good place.

Iran Begins Attack On Israel By Launching Dozens Of Suicide Drones

Update(1554ET): Axios correspondent Barak Ravid has cited several US and Israeli officials who say Iran’s attack against Israel has started. It is currently almost 11pm in Israel. It could take hours for the drones to reach Israel, however, the big question remains whether Tehran sends ballistic missiles. Both the IDF and the Biden administration have confirmed that drones are en route to Israeli airspace.

“Iran launches attack against Israel using dozens of drones, four U.S. and Israeli officials told me,” Ravid writes. Airspace across Iran, Jordan, and Israel has reportedly been shut in the last hours.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued the following nighttime speech just ahead of the reported attack:

“Citizens of Israel, in recent years, and even more so in recent weeks, Israel has been preparing for the possibility of a direct attack from Iran,” the premier says in a video statement. “Our defense systems are deployed, and we are prepared for any scenario, both in defense and offense. The State of Israel is strong, the IDF is strong, the public is strong.”

“We appreciate the US for standing by Israel’s side as well as the support of the UK, France and many other countries.” “I established a clear principle — whoever hurts us, we will hurt them. We will defend ourselves from any threat and we will do so calmly and with determination.”

“I know that you, the citizens of Israel, are also keeping calm. I urge you to listen to the directives of the Home Front Command.”

“Together we stand, and with God’s help, together we will overcome all of our enemies,” Netanyahu says.
