Don’t mess with Texas. Particularly not with Texas cops, who according to Hunt County sheriff Randy Meeks, get their authority from God.

Yes, Mr. Meeks was outraged at critics who pointed to a videotaped beating of a pregnant woman by one of his deputies. Like Goldman Sachs, his work is God’s work, or so he claims. So shut up and take it you stupid plebs.

From Raw Story:

A Texas sheriff said police critics should shut up because he believes law enforcement officers are granted their authority by God.

Randy Meeks, the Hunt County sheriff, published a print-only guest editorial in the local Herald-Banner, citing Bible verses to argue that police officers are tasked with enforcing law and order for a godly nation, reported blogger Brett Sanders.

The blogger posts screen shots from the guest editorial, which was published just days aftergrand jury cleared one of Meeks’ deputies in the videotaped beating of a pregnant Air Force veteran during the investigation of a domestic dispute.

“Due to recent events, I can no longer be silent concerning what our country allows,” Meeks wrote. “It is amazing to me that the criminals who break into our homes and steal from us, those who sell drugs to our children, those who abuse innocent and defenseless children, those who rape our wives and daughters, those who commit cold-blooded murders are all innocent until proven guilty.”

Four Swedish Cops on Vacation in NYC Teach the NYPD a Lesson in Humanity

We’ve all seen the stats by now. U.S. police killed more citizens in March alone than UK police have killed in 100 years. We’ve seen the plethora of videos documenting unnecessary police brutality. There are so many in fact, I can’t even begin to document them all. We’ve also seen the militarized police in all its ghoulish display in Ferguson.

We’ve seen the wrong way to police in New York City, most recently when an unarmed Eric Garner was choked to death on the street in broad daylight for selling untaxed cigarettes. Now, finally, we see how real policing is supposed to be done, courtesy of four Swedish police officers who were on vacation in NYC.

First, a little background from the Free Thought Project:

New York, NY–  Four Swedish police officers vacationing in New York City were on the subway on Wednesday when a fight broke out. The train operator asked if there were any police riding who could help with the situation.  The Scandinavian patrolmen were very soothing and non-aggressive as they de-escalated the situation instead of escalating it, the way we have seen so often from our own men and women in blue.

SEATTLE POLICE OUT OF CONTROL

Whether you agree with someone’s views or not, the police do not have the right to attack citizens who are acting peacefully. They are treating us like prisoners in our own country. They are pushing too far. The execution of the policemen in NYC was just the beginning. The more they clamp down, the more push back and retribution they will incur.

NY COPS BREAK SPECIAL ED STUDENT’S ARM

Know your enemy.

Rotterdam police allegedly broke the arm of an emotionally disturbed 16-year-old boy after two cops tried to remove him by force from a school bus he refused to leave, and a video revealed the cracking sound of a bone followed by the teenager’s moans and shouted expletives.

Now an attorney representing the teenager’s family is suing the town and seeking damages in excess of $1 million for a fractured humerus, possible nerve damage, medical expenses and pain and suffering.

The attorney said the teenager’s medications were being adjusted at the time, limiting his ability to move. He has been diagnosed with multiple emotional disorders, including Tourette syndrome, anxiety disorder, bipolar disorder and pervasive developmental disorder, according to the family’s lawyer.

The incident unfolded on the morning of Oct. 9, 2013 in the driveway of the teenager’s Rotterdam home and came to light late Friday in a news release issued by Rotterdam Police Chief James Hamilton who said a review determined that “officers followed department protocol and procedures.”

In addition, police charged the teen, Jacob Gocheski, with obstructing governmental administration in the second degree, a misdemeanor. He appeared in Rotterdam Town Court on Nov. 18 on the charge, which is pending.

Attorney Kevin Luibrand filed a notice of claim on Jan. 6 against the town on behalf of Gocheski and his parents. “There was clear and obvious use of excessive force,” Luibrand said Friday. “They placed his arm in a position where they locked the arm and proceeded with significant force to break the arm between the shoulder blade and elbow, creating a displaced fracture.”

Luibrand released an X-ray of the teenager’s left arm that showed a gruesome break and a shattered bone midway up the bicep.

POLICE UNION FUNDRAISER FOR THE THUG COP THAT DECKED WOMAN IN PHILLY

You gotta love cops and you gotta love government unions. Our police commentors tell us that 99.9% of cops are just like us. They are good people looking out for the best interests of the citizens. The story below tells you everything you need to know about cops. They don’t think a cop who slams a defenseless woman in the face for no reason is a bad cop. Not only don’t they think he deserves to be fired, they are going to throw a nice big party for the thug. This is the mindset of police unions and their members. They don’t give a fuck about the public. They want their gold plated pension, retirement at 50, lifetime healthcare, and freedom to kick the shit out of the public without consequences.

All government unions need to be crushed and discarded. This prick needs to be scorned and ridiculed. Fundraiser my fat ass.

Union to fete Philly officer who hit parade-goer

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Members of the city’s police union are planning a fundraiser for a lieutenant who is being fired for punching a woman at a parade, an encounter caught on video.

Earlier this month, the city’s police commissioner announced that Lt. Jonathan Josey was suspended for 30 days with the intent to dismiss.

Mayor Michael Nutter apologized to the woman, saying he was “appalled,” ”sickened” and “ashamed” by the video. It shows 39-year-old Aida Guzman being struck in the face and falling to the ground, her face bloodied, and then being led away in handcuffs during a street festival associated with the city’s annual Puerto Rican Day parade.

The Philadelphia Daily News reported (http://bit.ly/WZImtO ) that union members are supporting Josey and holding a five-hour, $30-a-person fundraiser for him on Oct. 28. Fraternal Order of Police President John McNesby said the proceeds will go toward Josey’s living expenses.

“It was inappropriate for the city to apologize to this woman and drop the charges until the investigation was complete,” McNesby said. “And we still don’t believe it’s a fireable offense.”

The fundraiser isn’t an official union event, McNesby said. But the newspaper reports it’s being advertised on union letterhead and on the union website.

City Councilwoman Maria Quinones-Sanchez said she was disappointed because the fundraiser makes it appear that officers condone Josey’s actions.

“While I understand that the FOP has to defend one of its own, I am extremely disappointed because this will appear that they are condoning the very visible actions of Josey, which hurts the image of their good officers,” said Sanchez, who represents the district where the encounter occurred.

Guzman’s attorney said he had no strong objection to the benefit.

“We don’t think he should be reinstated, that’s for sure,” attorney Enrique Latoison said. “But as a defense attorney, I understand that his people are going to defend him and look out for him.”

A disorderly conduct charge against Guzman has been withdrawn.
