You really can’t make this shit up. The black people in West Philly throw a peace concert to stop the violence in the city and a dude gets shot to death at the concert. Would it be racist of me to mention there were no white people at this concert for peace? I think someone needs to explain the difference between peace and violence to these fine upstanding citizens of West Philly. Maybe they should scrap the concerts, get jobs, not have kids out of wedlock, stop dealing and taking drugs, and start acting like civilized human beings.
Man shot outside peace concert at Dell Music Center dies
The man shot outside a peace concert at the Dell Music Center on Wednesday has died.
The 20-year-old man died overnight after having been shot in the Strawberry Mansion center’s parking lot at about 8:30 p.m., according to the Philadelphia police homicide unit.
Police say an argument sparked the shooting near the anti-violence concert, called “Philly Support Philly: Peace on the Streets.” The victim was shot in his abdomen and thigh and taken to Temple University Hospital.
No arrests have been made.
The gunman was described last night as being in his teens and fleeing in a white vehicle, thought to be a Chevrolet Impala. Police said they had no additional information this morning about the suspect.
It wasn’t immediately known what the argument was about.
About 600 people were attending Wednesday night’s concert at the Fairmount Park center, located near 33rd and Huntingdon streets.
