GERMANY’S DECLINE AND FALL

by Martin Armstrong

The Greens & the Socialists have taken control of Germany and in the process, the strongest economy of the EU has taken a decisive directional change here in 2022 that will not merely set in motion the decline and fall of Germany, but that of the European Union as well. Once again, the Berlin Senate will discuss the issue of Bürgergeld (citizen’s allowance), which is to replace the current social benefit program Hartz IV.

The new Government has proposed reforming the support for the long-term unemployed – currently known as “unemployment benefit II” (Arbeitslosengeld II) or Hartz IV. The proposed new system scheduled to roll out in early 2023, will be called Bürgergeld, or “citizen’s allowance.” This will increase in the basic monthly benefit from €449 to €502. Additionally, the Bürgergeld will reduce sanctions for those who are avoiding employment and training meetings, which appears to have emerged since the COVID lockdowns around the world. Many appear to have enjoyed free money to stay home under COVID restrictions and have been reluctant to return to any employment. After the first six months, the benefit can be reduced by up to 30% if they refuse to take courses or work. Continue reading “GERMANY’S DECLINE AND FALL”

SVARGA LOKA´s MUSINGS FROM GERMANY

Guest Post by Svarga Loka

1) Masks

It is getting old and boring to write about masks after all these years and months, but I figured that my observations might be interesting. I flew to Germany from Boston a few days ago to visit my family. This is the first time in 1.5 years that I did not have to get a Covid test either direction to fly. Masks were not required from Boston to Ireland, and only about handful of passengers out of 250 or so chose to wear one. Of note: the line for security at Logan was INSANE. It wrapped all around the perimeter of the terminal, which I have never seen before.

I am not sure if numbers of travelers are up, or if number of TSA officers are down. There were signs advertising that the TSA is hiring those (something along the lines of “Do a job that makes a difference”). The plane for the transatlantic flight was completely full. Since I was traveling with children, our entire party did not have to go through the side scatter scanner or whatever technology they use nowadays, which is what always happens when you have children with you. On other flights in the past when I was by myself, I always opt out of that.

Are You a Good German or a Badass German? Man Standing Before Two Signs Pointing in Different Directions

“If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor. If an elephant has its foot on the tail of a mouse and you say that you are neutral, the mouse will not appreciate your neutrality.”

Time’s up. Pencils down.

The first phase of the Obedience-Prison-Conformity experiment is over. How’d you do?

If you ever wondered how you would have behaved in Nazi Germany, Stalinist Russia, Mussolinian Italy, Ceaușescuian Romania, or China (Maoist or contemporary1), now you know.

If you ever wondered how you would have reacted to the Milgram Obedience Experiment, now you know.

There is no such thing as “Germany”

One minute Germany won’t send anything other than helmets (or, was that … Helmut?) to Ukraine, and only agreed to temporarily suspend NS II.

The next minute they’re ALL IN!!

WTF?  I thought to myself, well, that’s because 75 years of guilt and American occupation has turned them into Big Giant Frankfurters (weenies).  I was right!  The article below, by a German citizen, is The Worst Beatdown of Germany I have ever read …. no exaggeration.

Now I have to decide if she is somewhat correct, mostly correct, or totally full of shit. But, that’s where your guy’s expertise comes in ….

Germany’s anti-mask judge investigated by the government

Guest Post by Simon Black

Are you ready for this week’s absurdity? Here’s our Friday roll-up of the most ridiculous stories from around the world that are threats to your liberty, risks to your prosperity… and on occasion, inspiring poetic justice.

Iran elected to UN Women’s Rights Council

Last week, Iran was among the United Nations member states elected to its Commission on the Status of Women, the “principal global intergovernmental body exclusively dedicated to the promotion of gender equality and the empowerment of women.”

Quick reminder: Iran brutally oppresses women. Married women have no legal protections against domestic violence, and must ask permission from their husbands to leave the home, or hold a job.

German police seek fugitive Iraqi over killing of girl, 14

Via Washington Post

BERLIN — German authorities investigating the rape and murder of a 14-year-old girl said Thursday they are seeking a fugitive Iraqi asylum-seeker and have arrested a Turkish man in the latest high-profile case involving migrants.

The body of the girl, who had been missing since May 22, was found Wednesday on the outskirts of the western German city of Wiesbaden.

Prosecutors said two men — a 20-year-old Iraqi and a 35-year-old Turkish citizen, both of whom lived at homes for asylum-seekers in the city — are suspected of raping and killing the girl on the evening she went missing. They believe the two then buried her body.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel arrives in Washington this week to meet with President Donald Trump at a moment of tension in the transatlantic alliance. Discussions between the two leaders will likely feature some significant disagreements over issues such as the Iran nuclear deal, trade, climate change and military spending.

The German and American publics also have some different views about the current state of affairs between their two countries. Below are six charts on how Germans and Americans see one another and how German attitudes toward the United States have shifted in the Trump era.

WINTER IS COMING (PART TWO)

“Don’t think you can escape the Fourth Turning the way you might today distance yourself from news, national politics, or even taxes you don’t feel like paying. History warns that a Crisis will reshape the basic social and economic environment that you now take for granted. The Fourth Turning necessitates the death and rebirth of the social order. It is the ultimate rite of passage for an entire people, requiring a luminal state of sheer chaos whose nature and duration no one can predict in advance.” – Strauss & Howe – The Fourth Turning

In Part One of this article I laid out the reasons for Gray Champions arising to meet challenges during crisis periods in history. We are ten years into this Crisis and I have been pondering where we go from here. The plot line of the Game of Thrones has opened my eyes to the fact there isn’t just one Gray Champion during a Fourth Turning. During the Civil War, Jefferson Davis and Robert E. Lee were Transcendental prophet generation representatives of the Confederacy. Abraham Lincoln and William Tecumseh Sherman were Gray Champions of the Union.

These were men who would do anything to further their cause, from ordering thousands of men to their deaths on Cemetery Ridge, to burning down cities, to suspending the writ of Habeas Corpus, and seceding from the Union. They were destined to brandish their terrible swift swords in achieving total indisputable victory. But, we know only one side could win.

During the World War II/Great Depression crisis FDR is known as the Gray Champion who took drastic measures on the economic front with his New Deal and sent 16 million young men into battle on a scale never seen in history. Douglass MacArthur commanded many of those men in battles to the death across the Pacific. What is less discussed is the fact Winston Churchill and Joseph Stalin were also members of the Missionary prophet generation and were the Gray Champions of their nations.

Merkel Encountering Rising Violent Protests

Guest Post by Martin Armstrong

Violent protest are starting to rise in Germany against Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel. Keep in mind that Merkel has never won 51% of the popular vote. She rules Europe solely by a coalition. DWN reports that she was confronted with shouts of  “Hau ab!”, whistles and “hatred”. They are appearing with poster reading “Merkel hatsten Deutschland”.  It is unusual for German to engage in such civil unrest.

When Martin Schulz  became the leader of the SPD, it rallied sharply to 31%, which was just one point behind the CDU/CSU at 32% back in March 2017. As people I know in the EU Parliament told me, wait until the Germans get to know Schultz. That threshold seems to have arrived.

Weird Things Are Happening With Gold

Authored by James Rickards via Daily Reckoning blog,

Last week featured two unusual stories on gold – one strange and the other truly weird. These stories explain why gold is not just money but is the most politicized form of money.

They show that while politicians publicly disparage gold, they quietly pay close attention to it.

The first strange gold story involves Germany…

The Deutsche Bundesbank, the central bank of Germany, announced that it had completed the repatriation of gold to Frankfurt from foreign vaults.

Can Germany Be Made Great Again?

Guest Post by Antonius Aquinas

When Germany Was Great!

Ever since the start of the deliberately conceived “migrant crisis,” orchestrated by NWO elites, the news out of Germany has been, to say the least, horrific.  Right before the eyes of the world, a country is being demographically destroyed through a coercive plan of mass migration.  The intended consequences of this – financial strain, widespread crime and property destruction, the breakdown of German culture – will continue to worsen if things are not turned around.

Gestapo is Back: German Homes Raided Over Facebook Posts

Via The Daily Bell

Germany has taken its war on “hate speech,” also known as free speech, to the people.

Already Germany has pretty strict laws against citizens using Nazi symbols and denying that the Holocaust happened. Apparently, lawmakers miss the irony of going full Gestapo on citizens for free speech, as offensive as it may be.

But they are not stopping there. The German government has raided the homes of 36 people accused of hateful posting on social media.

Most of the raids concerned politically motivated right-wing incitement, according to the Federal Criminal Police Office, whose officers conducted home searches and interrogations. But the raids also targeted two people accused of left-wing extremist content, as well as one person accused of making threats or harassment based on someone’s sexual orientation.

“The still high incidence of punishable hate posting shows a need for police action,” Holger Münch, president of the Federal Criminal Police Office, said in a statement. “Our free society must not allow a climate of fear, threat, criminal violence and violence either on the street or on the internet.”

In order to keep our society free, we must severely restrict the freedom of the people. War is peace, hate is love, and so on and so forth.
