Johns Hopkins Says Gun-Control Will Prevent Second Civil War

A new study published by Johns Hopkins own Bloomberg School for Public Health outlines the action items on the billionaire-funded gun control lobby’s wish list and makes the claim that those specific gun control provisions are crucial to stopping an armed insurrection in the United States.

The policy recommendations made by the study include regulating the public carry of firearms, prohibiting “paramilitary” activity, enacting unconstitutional red flag laws that remove due process, and finally (and maybe most sinisterly) repealing state-level preemption laws.

Not-Senile-At-All Joe Biden inarticulately joined the “Take All The Gunz” chorus the other day, joining the rest of the socialists, socialists lite and fake Indians who make up the Democrat slate in thinking we’ll just hand-over our arms because of their wanting us to. There are good arguments against their position, including not wanting to rip our country apart with a bunch of Waco redos, but I don’t argue except for money, and I especially don’t argue about my gun rights since they are not up for debate. If I were to argue over the right to keep and bear arms, my position would be simple. Fifty percent of my “argument” would consist of the naughty word the media squees over Beto now uses when babbling about disarming us, plus the word “you.”

Trump Suggests “Common Sense” Gun Control, “Deranged” People Shouldn’t Have Guns

With many 2nd Amendment defenders rightly up in arms (no pun intended) over President Trump’s previous comments on ‘red flag’ laws:

Is Donald J. Trump anti-gun rights? Some might say “yes,” because the president has joined with Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) to support “red-flag” laws that allow government agents to take guns temporarily from those deemed too dangerous or unfit to possess a weapon. Such laws may be a major threat to the Second Amendment unless great care is taken to ensure due process is observed strictly and fully.

“Graham, in a statement, said he has reached a deal with Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) on a bill that would start a federal grant program to help and encourage states to create ‘”red flag” protection order’ laws, which are meant to make it easier for law enforcement to identify mentally ill people who should be banned from purchasing guns.”

Trump announced his support for the red-flag laws from the White House on Aug. 5, stating that “those judged to pose a great risk to public safety (should) not have access to firearms and that if they do, those firearms can be taken through rapid due process.”

FOURTH TURNING ECONOMICS (PART TWO)

In Part One of this article I laid out the unsustainable economic conditions which will drive the next phase of this Fourth Turnings and detailed the economic factors which drove the previous three American Fourth Turnings.

Strauss and Howe, when writing The Fourth Turning in 1997, did not know the exact circumstances and events which would propel the next Turning. But their study of economic and demographic trends along with the attitudes of generations and historical precedents in prior Fourth Turnings, led them to conclude the driving factors of this Crisis would be debt, global disorder and civic decay.

As I watch what is currently happening in this country and around the world, it is evident to me they nailed it. The volcanic eruption in 2008 unleashed a torrent of molten lava, which continues to flow along channels of distress, but is currently threatening to burst free of these channels and wreak worldwide financial and physical devastation. A multitude of possibilities described by Strauss and Howe below are already happening or will happen in the next few years.

Every time the gun debate flares up in America, conservatives act like we’re trying to take all the guns. It’s a ridiculous straw man argument. We don’t want to take your guns away, and we don’t want to ban common firearms. That’s all just Republican fearmongering. Very typical on the right.

Here are the facts. All we want to ban are automatic, semiautomatic, bolt-action, pump-action, lever-action, break-action, and muzzle-loading firearms. It’s not that difficult, people. All we had to do was pull up Google and search for all kinds of guns and add them to our ban list.

After Multiple Reports About New Zealanders Turning In Guns, Guess How Many Actually Did It?

Following reports that a flood of New Zealand gun owners have been voluntarily surrending their firearms in the wake of last Friday’s Christchurch mosque attack that left 50 dead, the numbers are in on how many Kiwis actually handed over their weapons.

Out of an estimated 1.2 million registered guns, New Zealand police report that as of Tuesday night, 37 firearms have been surrendered nationwide, according to BuzzFeed.

No accounting was provided of how many people owned those guns, the types of firearms, or where they were surrendered.

Kentucky recently became the 16th state to amend its laws to get rid of onerous restrictions on healthy, law-abiding adults bearing arms, conforming its concealed weapons statutes to the Constitution and irritating liberals who prefer that we citizens remain helpless sheep. Some of us channel the Founders and believe it is every eligible citizen’s duty to own the kind of guns liberals label “assault weapons” in order to be able to personally protect themselves, their families, their communities and their Constitution; others just want the option of carrying a .38 at a house of worship or elsewhere in public where evil might manifest. But liberals oppose this natural right. Why? Well, there are only two kinds of people who object to Normal Americans being able to protect their lives and freedom, felons and aspiring tyrants, and it just so happens both of them are key constituencies of the Democrat Party.

Firearms Registration Act Introduced in Pennsylvania

Pennsylvania state Democrats introduce HB0768, known as the Firearms Registration Act.

(Ammoland.com)- A new bill introduced in Pennsylvania would establish a gun registry within the state.

HB0768 is known as the Firearms Registration Act. The Democrats that introduced the bill were Mary Louise Isaacson (D), Angel Cruz (D), and Mary Jo Daley (D). Last Friday, the General Assembly referred the bill to the committee on judiciary.

The bill would require gun owners in the Keystone State to register their firearms with the Pennsylvania State Police. Owners would have to provide the police with the make, model, and the serial numbers of all their guns.

Along with the application that the gun owner must swear to under oath, the gun owner would have to submit fingerprints, two photographs that are no older than 30 days and go through a background check for each firearm that they own. This background check is the same one that they must go through to purchase a gun.

In addition to this requirement, they must also provide the Pennsylvania State Police with their home and work address, telephone number, social security number, date of birth, age, sex, and citizenship. This requirement is more information than a person needs to vote.
