Hackers Join the Ukraine War

Guest Post by Martin Armstrong

Russia’s media has promoted the “military action” in Ukraine as a necessary measure in an attempt to mislead the people from seeing this as an all-out invasion. Russia’s communications regulator (Roskomnadzor) has banned media outlets from using the words “assault, invasion, or declaration of war” to describe the attack on Ukraine. Disobeying could be punishable by a fine of five million rubles ($60,000). Roskomnadzor said that “official Russian information outlets” are the only source for “reliable information.” Numerous social media platforms are now restricted or disabled in Russia in an attempt to shield citizens from the truth.

Hackers Attacking Retirement Savings With Increasing Frequency

From Birch Gold Group

hacking retirement

Imagine building up a lifetime of retirement savings, in one or perhaps even several retirement accounts…

Only to wake up one morning and discover one of your retirement accounts has been wiped out by a hacker.

Unfortunately, this nightmare scenario is happening more and more often as hackers become more creative and use more sophisticated methods.

According to an article on MarketWatch, “Hackers are targeting new types of financial accounts — such as customer rewards programs and retirement plans, according to the 2019 Identity Fraud Study from Javelin Strategy & Research.”

Report: Hackers can now cause blackouts on US electrical grid

Via American Thinker

It was inevitable that someday, hackers would have the ability to exert control over the U.S. electrical grid.  According to the computer security firm Symantec, someday is today.

Hacking attacks over the last several months that targeted U.S. energy companies have been able to gain “operational control” over systems, thus threatening blackouts across the U.S., says Symantec.  The hacker group known as DragonFly 2.0 was able to gain control in at least 20 places, according to the firm.

Some Truth About Hillary & The Hackers

Some Truth About Hillary & The Hackers

hillarythe-hackers

I’ve been watching ridiculous stories on the “hacked” emails of Hillary, John Podesta, et al, and I think it’s time to insert a bit of reality to the discussion. So, if you have any interest in this, here are some points to consider:

1. Anyone could have hacked Hillary.

People ask me, “Do you think it was the Russians who hacked Hillary?” I tell them that I have no idea who did it, but, “Yeah, sure, it could have been the Russians. Given the lack of security on her server, however, it could also have been the teenager down the street.”

Hillary’s server was more or less wide open. Given enough motivation and a bit of time, any reasonably technical person could have stolen those emails. In the words of one specialist, Hillary’s server was “total amateur hour.” How that happens for a Secretary of State (or a President) is a rather serious question.

Are They Planning to call The Election a Fraud if Trump Wins?

curtain-behind-1There is a very interesting rumor from behind the curtain. What they are concerned about is that Trump has raised more from small donors under $200 than any previous Republican in history. Even John McCain in 2008 and Mitt Romney in 2012 collected less than $64 million. They are concerned that more small people are donating to Trump and that means it is the small people who vote, whereas hedge fund managers and bankers can give her millions, but one vote.

They are starting to set the stage for calling the entire election a FRAUD and pinning the blame on Putin. That’s right. They are saying already in preparation that Russia is hacking into the voting systems to make sure Trump wins. There have been rumors for years that Obama would declare Marshal Law and suspend the election process. Interestingly enough, now it is not the lunatic fringe who are starting to say that would be appropriate if Obama can claim the election was a FRAUD.

FOURTH TURNING – THE SHADOW OF CRISIS HAS NOT PASSED – PART FOUR

In Part One of this article I explained the model of generational theory as conveyed by Strauss and Howe in The Fourth Turning. In Part Two I provided an overwhelming avalanche of evidence this Crisis has only yet begun, with debt, civic decay and global disorder propelling the world towards the next more violent phase of this Crisis. In Part Three I addressed how the most likely clash on the horizon is between the government and the people. War on multiple fronts will thrust the world through the great gate of history towards an uncertain future.

War on Multiple Fronts

“The risk of catastrophe will be very high. The nation could erupt into insurrection or civil violence, crack up geographically, or succumb to authoritarian rule. If there is a war, it is likely to be one of maximum risk and effort – in other words, a total war. Every Fourth Turning has registered an upward ratchet in the technology of destruction, and in mankind’s willingness to use it.” – Strauss & Howe – The Fourth Turning

The drumbeats of war are pounding. Sanctions are implemented against any country that dares question American imperialism (Russia, Iran). Overthrow and ignominious imprisonment or death awaits any foreign leader questioning the petrodollar or standing in the way of America spreading democracy (Iraq, Libya, Syria, Ukraine, Egypt). The mega-media complex of six corporations peddle the government issued pabulum about ISIS being an existential threat to our freedoms; Russia being led by the new Hitler and poised to take over Europe; Syria gassing innocent women and children; and Iran only six months away from a nuclear bomb (they’ve been six months away for the last fourteen years). Hollywood does their part with patriotic drivel like American Sniper, designed to compel low IQ unemployed American youths to swell with pride and march down to enlistment centers, located in our plentiful urban ghettos.

The most disconcerting aspect of Fourth Turnings is they have always climaxed with total destructive all-out war. Not wars to enrich arms dealers like Iraq, Afghanistan, and Syria, but incomprehensibly violent, brutal, wars of annihilation. There are clear winners and losers at the conclusion of Fourth Turning wars. Leaders mobilize all forces, refuse to compromise, define their enemies in moral terms, demand sacrifice on the battlefield and home front, build the most destructive weapons imaginable, and employ those weapons to obtain victory at any cost.

It may seem inconceivable that war on such a scale will happen within the next ten years, but it was equally inconceivable in 1936 that 65 million people would die in the next ten years during World War II. We valued all the wrong things and made all the wrong choices leading up to this Crisis and during the early stages of this Crisis. The accumulation of unmet obligations, unpaid bills, un-kept promises and unresolved issues will provide the fuel for an upheaval that will shake our society to its core and transforms the country’s direction for the next sixty years. The outcome of the conflict could be tragedy or triumph. Our choices will make a difference.

There will be war on many fronts, and they have already begun. The culmination will likely be World War III, with the outcome highly uncertain and potentially disastrous.

HACKED

My server company informed me twice in the last week that TBP had been hacked. I don’t know who or what successfully broke into my site. The server company was able to seal off the intrusion temporarily. This was somewhat annoying to me because I’ve been paying a company aptly named – Stop Hacker – to protect my website from being hacked. After asking them why I was paying them, they offered to patch my site’s weaknesses for a couple hundred bucks. They have supposedly fixed the site. I’m doubtful.

They also made a bunch of recommendations that I should implement, including restricting the crap you people copy into the comments. They say that is why Norton keeps warning everyone about the site. I don’t understand most of their suggestions. I’m not technically savvy and have no interest in becoming so. I now spend way too much of my life monitoring load times and trying to figure out why the site will operate perfectly for hours and then go down or take 20 seconds to load. I can’t stand running a website. My enjoyment level drops by the day. I just wanted to write articles and now I deal with IT glitches, trolls, spam, and assholes.

If these technical issues continue to get worse and more expensive to address, I’ll eventually have to pull the plug. In the meantime, I’ll continue to post articles I find interesting with a brief commentary when I feel it is appropriate. The long articles that I tried to write every week or two will be few and far between. Trying to keep the blog interesting on a daily basis and dealing with the daily technical crap wears me down by the time I reach the weekend. Throw in days like yesterday when I spend three and a half hours commuting to and from work and I’m completely burnt out.

I no longer have the time or stamina to spend 10 hours on my weekend writing an article. I prefer reading to writing, and I have piles of books waiting to be read. I’d rather go for a long walk or workout at the YMCA. I’d rather go to a movie or watch a football game. Life is too short to spend worrying about what might happen 24/7. I am responsible for preparing my family for an uncertain future and trying to find some enjoyment in my daily life. It ain’t easy.

TBP has become more of a chat room of doom, than my personal blog. We’ll keep it going as long as technically possible, but something had to give and that is the in-depth articles. I’m not looking for recommendations on how to better manage my time. So don’t make any. Life is full of choices and this is a minor one in the big picture. I can’t find all the good articles, so post anything that will make readers think or get pissed off.

The goal of this site is to provide an alternative to the propaganda you get on the MSM. My personal goal is to discredit the establishment and contribute to their downfall. I hope to see our efforts come to fruition.
