Stabbing Rampage In Minnesota Mall Leaves 8 Injured And Attacker Dead

As usual, the liberal mainstream media barely mentions the fact the Muslim terrorist was killed by a citizen lawfully in possession of a gun. That doesn’t fit their narrative.

Approximately 1 hour after an IED explosion rocked New York City, a knife-wielding man, dressed in a private security uniform, went on a stabbing rampage at the Crossroads Center Mall in St. Cloud, Minnesota.  8 people were injured in the stabbings and all but 1 have been treated for their injuries and subsequently released from a local hospital.

The attacker’s name has not yet been released by St. Cloud police though the St. Cloud Times reported that the attacker asked at least one victim whether they were Muslim and referenced Allah during the assault.  That said, Police Chief William Blair Anderson declined to call the attacks an act of terrorism.

The attacker was killed by an off-duty police officer from another jurisdiction though his identity has not been revealed.  According to the St. Cloud Times, local police had three previous encounters with the suspect, most for minor traffic violations.

St. Cloud Police Chief William Blair Anderson said they “have no reason to believe” anyone else was involved in the attacks.

“We
will be diligent and get to the bottom of this,  Starting tomorrow, things won’t be the same here.”

The mall remained on lock down for a long period following the incident, but authorities subsequently released those remaining inside early this morning.

Man Fatally Shot During Traffic Stop In Minnesota, Governor Reportedly Evacuated

A man identified as Philando Castile, 32, was shot and killed during a traffic stop Wednesday evening in Falcon Heights, Minnesota that could spark yet another round of social unrest throughout the nation.

St. Anthony Police chief Jon Mangseth said the incident began when an officer from his agency initiated a traffic stop around 9pm, and at some point an officer fired, striking the man. Mangseth said he didn’t know what the reason was, and police didn’t say what led to the shooting. Castile’s girlfriend and a 7-year old child were also in the car when the incident took place, and the girlfriend allegedly started to live stream the incident on Facebook as it started to unfold. Mangseth said he had been “made aware there was a live stream on Facebook” but said he hadn’t yet seen the video and didn’t know anything about its contents.

According to the WSJ, the video shows a woman sitting in a car with a man slumped in a seat wearing a shirt that appeared to be soaked in blood. A person who appeared to be an armed police officer stood at the car’s window. The woman can be heard saying “we got pulled over for a busted taillight.” And the officer tells her to keep her hands up, and says “I told him not to reach for it. I told him to get his hand out.

U.S. High Schools Embrace Shooting as Hot New Sport

The giddy 13-year-old boys oohed and aahed as they stared down the black shotgun barrels and aimed at clay targets they imagined whizzing through the air.

“You guys are welcome to test any of these out,” said Dusty Minke, a sales agent for Browning, as the teens elbowed each other for spots at his kiosk. “We’ve actually had a couple of kids who did so good on the test range that they were like, ‘Can I use this for my rounds?’ We let ‘em, and their scores went up — and they’ll hopefully go and buy one.”

It was day six of the Minnesota State High School Clay Target League championship, the world’s biggest shooting-sport event. Minke could see potential customers in every direction, kids as young as 11 who’d tumbled out of their parents’ cars in camouflage T-shirts beginning at 7 a.m.

In 2009, the contest’s first year, it drew 30 shooters. In June there were 5,134, more than 20,000 spectators and sponsors including Benelli Armi SpA and SKB Shotguns. Trap shooting is the fastest-growing sport in Minnesota high schools, and was recently introduced in neighboring Wisconsin and North Dakota. While it may make anti-gun activists uneasy, it’s a boon for manufacturers and retailers that have stoked its growth.

Minnesota aims to fine family farmers $500 per day

Family farm faces showdown with state agency over privacy and the right to farm.

David and Heidi Berglund face potential fines and damaging state intervention.

Republished with permission from NourishingLiberty.com.

GRAND MARAIS, MN — If the Minnesota Department of Agriculture (MDA) gets its way, Lake View Natural Dairy Farm, owned and operated by David and Heidi Berglund and their daughter Lyndsay, will be fined $500 per day until they submit to an unconstitutional inspection of their farm.

When the farm briefly explored the possibility of selling milk for processing, this triggered a call to the MDA by the processor, and the MDA realized they had no record or control over this farm.

On October 14, 2014, the MDA demanded to do an inspection of the farm, which the family refused on the grounds that the Minnesota Constitution acknowledges their right to peddle the products of their farm. Now, the MDA hopes to fine the small operation a crippling $500 per day after the March 9, 2015 hearing if they are found to be in contempt of court.

Lake View Natural Dairy Farm, in the quaint town of Grand Marais, MN, has been a staple in the community for the past 100 years under the care of the Berglund family. Currently, they provide raw milk and locally produced meats to their neighbors, visitors and tourists. The locals adore the farm, the family, and the products.

Many who vacation in Grand Marais for the summer months make the farm their first stop when they arrive in the town with a population of 1,300. Some customers drive over 200 miles from the twin cities for the products from Lake View Natural Dairy Farm.

“How is endangering your child taking his pain away?”

MADISON, MN — A mother has been criminally charged for the efforts she took to save her son’s life with cannabis oil, and could spend up to two years in prison if convicted.

In 2011, eleven-year-old Trey Brown suffered a traumatic brain injury.  Trey was struck in the skull with a baseball and put into a coma due to bleeding in his brain.  When he finally awoke, he was “a shell of himself” and suffered from chronic pain, seizures, learning disabilities, and suicidal thoughts.

“I cry like every day before I go to bed,” Trey, now 15 years old, told CBS News.  “Like my brain is about to blow up, cause there is so much pressure.”

Trey’s mother, 38-year-old Angela Brown, searched for ways to alleviate her son’s agony.  He was put on 18 different pharmaceutical drugs but the problems persisted, and the side effects made him even more suicidal.   He told his mother that he “didn’t want to live anymore.

Mrs. Brown saw one final option: cannabis oil.  Recently approved for medical use in a number of states, the oil has shown remarkable results in patients with pain and seizures.  A doctor recommended the family seek the treatment in Colorado.  So, in March of 2014, the family took a trip to Boulder, Colorado, to obtain a bottle of cannabis oil legally from one of the state’s medical marijuana dispensaries.

The results were incredible.  Trey’s pain subsided and the migraines went away.  The muscle spasms stopped, too.  Trey was finally able to do better in school.

“It was a miracle in a bottle,” his mother said.

Trey continued taking the oil for about a month. The family’s good fortunate was soon stamped out by oppressive forces in their home state.  Trey’s school became inquisitive about how the teen had shown so much improvement at school.  Mrs. Brown — who describes herself as “an open book” — eagerly told his teachers about the successful treatment.

“I said ‘Well, I gave him an oil that we’d gotten from Colorado,’” Angela recalled to CBS. “‘It’s derived from a marijuana plant.’ And then you could feel the tension in the room.”

School administrators wasted no time in reporting Ms. Brown to law enforcement.  She had technically broken the law by returning to Minnesota with the forbidden oil.  The Chippewa County Sheriff’s Department arrested Angela Brown and she was charged with two gross misdemeanors, including child endangerment due to substance possession (609.378) and criminal jurisdiction which contributes to the need for child protective services (260C.425).

Trey’s oil was confiscated and his treatment ceased.  The agonizing pain, swelling, and muscle spasms returned.  “School was really hard again,” he said.

Ironically, the problem is not a refusal of the Minnesota state legislature to ease up on cannabis patients.  In May 2014, Minnesota became the 22nd state to pass a medical marijuana law.  The problem is that it doesn’t go into effect until July 2015.

But with Trey’s constant suicidal thoughts, Angela Brown said that her son could not wait for relief.

“I stupidly opened my mouth to the wrong people and I got turned in,” she said. “When people ask me questions, I’m an open book. It got me in trouble. The only thing I did wrong was open my mouth.”

The two gross misdemeanor charges could land Mrs. Brown in prison for up to two years and result in a $6,000 fine.  Her children could also be taken away.

FOLLOW UP

The Brown family is now embroiled in legal problems and preparing to defend Angela’s actions in court.  Supporters have shown up to court hearings but the district attorney refused to drop the charges.

“This simply is not a situation where someone has endangered their child,” said attorney Michael Hughes, who filed a motion to dismiss on behalf of Mrs. Brown.  The judge reportedly has 90 days to decide whether to grant the motion.

“How is endangering your child taking his pain away?” said Angela Brown. “If someone answers that for me, fine, charge me, but until someone can explain to me how preventing pain is wrong, then I will continue to plead not guilty.”

“We are good hard working people that were just trying to save our son’s life. It has been a living hell since his injury and this just adds to our ever growing stress,” the Brown family stated on their GoFundMe Page — set up to raise funds for the Angela’s legal defense.

The family has indicated that they plan to move to Colorado to resume Trey’s treatment with cannabis oil.  Whether Angela will be able to join them remains to be seen.

WHAT ARE THEY PREPARING FOR?

Saint Paul, Minnesota is 67% white and 12% Asian. They have a black population of 13%. It is no Ferguson, Missouri.

Why is the U.S. military conducting unannounced “training” exercises in the middle of major cities across the U.S.?

Are they desensitizing the public to the military operating within our borders? The U.S. military is prohibited from operating within our borders.

Are they sending a message to the people to fear them?

Are they preparing for something that is about to happen?

Don’t you worry. Just focus on your iGadgets and don’t look up in the sky. The new NFL season is upon us. Concentrate on your fantasy league draft. A new season of the Kardashians is just around the corner. The government will protect you and keep you safe from terrorists.

With no warning, low-flying copters buzz St. Paul, Minneapolis

By Tad Vezner

With no warning for residents, military helicopters flew low Monday evening over St. Paul and Minneapolis in a federal training exercise, about which officials released almost no information.

The exercise — reportedly involving U.S. Navy Seals with Army pilots, engaging in rappelling exercises in an urban setting — began just before 8 p.m. and was scheduled to last until midnight.

The St. Paul police watch commander initially had no information on the exercise. He was later informed that it was a training exercise involving Homeland Security and local law enforcement.

St. Paul police officials said the City of Minneapolis was handling all media calls, because that’s where the exercises originated. A written statement released within 15 minutes of the exercise said little, stating only that “there will be some night training going on, which includes military helicopters.”

Minneapolis police spokesman John Elder, whose number was on the release, refused to answer additional questions about the exercise, repeating, over and over, “It’s a training exercise.”

“It’s a training exercise. I’ve been practicing that line all week,” he said, when asked if local police were involved in the exercise.

Many downtown residents said they were shocked and afraid at the sudden sight of military helicopters flying so near to their buildings.

Lynda Hanner, who lives on the 27th floor of City Walk Condominiums at 66 E. Ninth St., was surpised to see a helicopter flying just outside her window.

“At first I thought he was in distress — in the process of crashing,” Hanner said. “It was very frightening. They were playing dangerous games in my back yard, and I didn’t appreciate it.”

“Downtown St. Paul is not a training ground, there are about 7,000 of us who live here,” added neighbor Karl Karlson.

St. Paul council member Dave Thune said he was furious about not being told of the exercise beforehand. He said he received close to 100 voice messages, texts and tweets from downtown residents also voicing concern.

“Apparently (local law enforcement) worked something out last March. Apparently they were supposed to go through the city of Minneapolis PIO to let people know, but that didn’t work out so well,” Thune said. “One day’s notice is hardly any kind of excuse for doing this kind of thing anyway.

“It’s incredibly unsafe,” Thune added. “When you’ve got Blackhawk helicopters flying between buildings full of people in the middle of the night, it’s just not safe. … It’s absolutely wrong for us as a civilian police department to be engaging in military exercises. It shouldn’t happen here.”

Some Minneapolis residents said they saw people rappelling from helicopters onto the Federal Reserve Bank.

Thune said he was informed the exercise involved Navy Seals, along with Army pilots, from units in the southern states.

A St. Paul official who asked not to be identified said there was an understanding that local law enforcement would receive military hardware in exchange for the city’s cooperation in the exercise. But police spokesman Howie Padilla said Tuesday that St. Paul police was getting no military hardware because of the training.

The exercise comes the same week as police actions in Ferguson, Mo., led some national politicians and pundits to questions how much military hardware was ending up in the hands of local police departments.

In the written statement, Minneapolis officials said the exercises would take place “this week,” though Elder declined to say for how long.

The statement to media read: “Please call with locations or addresses you have questions about. These are Department of Defense exercises that should not be shared with the general public and security is of the utmost concern.”
