Illegal immigrants in the Windy City will soon be issued municipal IDs that will also allow them to vote, just in time for the crucial 2020 midterms.  The plan has been in the works for at least a year and is set to roll out next month.  The Chicago Tribune quietly reported the latest developments on a late Friday post 10 days ago.

Mayor Rahm Emanuel‘s latest municipal ID plan “CityKey” will be accepted as valid identification by the Chicago Board of Election. Emanuel has been wooing Latino voters in advance of his 2019 re-election bid.

Chicago: ‘Deadliest July in 10 Years’ for Gun Control Haven

Facts are so inconvenient to libs. I wonder what percentage of victims and perps were black? This is what you get when brain dead liberals like Rahm and Obama are in control. Why doesn’t Obama walk the talk and settle on the Southside of Chicago when he saunters out of the WH? I’m sure all his Trayvon “sons” would welcome him with open arms. Meanwhile, CNN is focused on Trump eating KFC with a fork and knife.

Kim/Chicago Tribune/TNS via Getty Images)

July 2016 was the “deadliest July in 10 years” for heavily gun-controlled Chicago: Sixty-five individuals were shot and killed.

Moreover, according to the Chicago Tribune, such death figures do not set a new record — they simply tie a record set in 2006, when 65 individuals were killed in the month of July. This brings Chicago’s homicide total to “nearly 400” for the first seven months of 2016 alone. The number of homicides for the whole year of 2015 was 490.

Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson tried to abate the feeding frenzy on the July death numbers by pointing out that they are at least better than the numbers for June, “when 72 homicides were reported.”

Breitbart News previously reported that May 2016 was also a recording-setting month. Almost 400 people were shot and 66 people were killed in that one month. The Chicago Tribune reported May 2016 as the deadliest May since 1995, when 75 people were gunned down.

On August 2, the Chicago Tribune reported a total of 2,395 shooting victims in Chicago for the seven months of 2016. There were 2,988 shooting victims for all of 2015. These shootings come in spite of the city’s “assault weapons” ban, “violence tax,” strict rules on acquiring handguns, and micro-management of the number of gun stores in the city, as well as of the locations of those stores.

HOW THEY CELEBRATE 4TH OF JULY IN THE GUN FREE ZONE OF CHICAGO

It sure is lucky Rahm Emmanuel’s liberal paradise of Chicago has the toughest gun laws in Illinois. Imagine how many people would have been shot if they weren’t so tough. I didn’t see anything about these Chicago festivities on the national MSM news stations. I guess 9 dead black people only matters if they are killed by a white boy. Black lives matter whenever it is convenient for the race baiters like Obama, Sharpton, and Jackson to make it matter. The liberal MSM eats up the racism angle whenever a white person is involved. Of course, 93% of all black shootings were committed by other blacks. That statistic never makes the news. It doesn’t support the storyline.

Is there a flag we can start banning due to the slaughter of black people by other black people in Chicago?

I just know this horrific slaughter of black people by black people will lead to an open dialogue of how white people are to blame. I think stronger gun laws will surely stop criminals from killing people without guns. Maybe if we give the Chicago teacher’s union another $100 million they can teach black kids not to shoot each other.

Fourth of July weekend shootings have left nine people dead — including a 7-year-old boy — and at least 47 others injured since Thursday evening.

Seven-year-old Amari Brown was killed in a shooting that also left a 26-year-old woman wounded late Saturday in the Humboldt Park neighborhood.

Amari, who lived in the 500 block of North Drake, was taken to Stroger Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 1:56 a.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Police said Sunday the bullet that fatally wounded 7-year-old Amari Brown on the Fourth of July was meant for his father. Both Amari and the 26-year-old woman were shot at 11:55 p.m. in the 1100 block of North Harding, police said.

The boy’s father, Antonio Brown, is a ranking gang member with 45 previous arrests and was not cooperating with police as of Sunday afternoon as they tried to find his son’s killer, Chicago Police Supt. Garry McCarthy said Sunday.

“It’s crazy. Like who would shoot a 7-year-old? He got shot in the chest. Who would do that? To a baby?” Amari’s grandmother, 52-year-old Vida Hailey asked as she waited for news outside Stroger. “All the kids that are getting killed out here – it’s crazy. When is it going to stop?”

RAHM OUTSPENDS OPPONENTS BY 12 TO 1 AND CAN’T GET 50% OF THE VOTE

I can’t believe the endorsement of our savior – Barack Obama – didn’t push Rahm over the top. I guess money can’t buy you love. It usually buys enough votes from the brothers, but not this time. Maybe Rahm should have gotten a few more dead voters to vote. It worked for JFK. This is another reflection of the changing mood in this country. Eight years ago, Rahm would have garnered 90% of the vote. Today he got half that amount. Times they are a changing.

Forced into runoff against Garcia, hoarse Rahm says ‘We have a little bit further to go’

For Rahm Emanuel, Tuesday’s mayoral election was the political equivalent of Groundhog Day: six more weeks of campaigning.

With 97 percent of the precincts counted, Emanuel had 45.3 percent to 33.9 percent for his top challenger Jesus “Chuy” Garcia. That’s 4.5 percent short of the 50 percent-plus-one vote that the mayor needs to avoid an April 7 runoff against Garcia. Millionaire businessman Willie Wilson was running third with 10.5 percent, followed by Ald. Bob Fioretti (2nd) with 7.4 percent and William “Dock” Walls with 2.7 percent.

The 34 percent turnout — down from 42.5 percent four years ago — should have benefited the incumbent with the $15 million warchest and the most sophisticated get-out-the-vote operation. But it was not enough to spare Emanuel from the political embarrassment of a runoff and a grueling Round 2.

Despite an 11th-hour in-person endorsement from President Barack Obama that Emanuel turned into a closing campaign commercial, Wilson got just enough of the African-American vote to deny the mayor a second term outright.

Garcia also appeared to be doing considerably better than final polling suggested.

Emanuel addressed his supporters shortly before 9:30 p.m. and tried to put the best possible face on an embarrassing situation.

“Thank you, Chicago. We’ve  come a long way, and we have a little bit further to go,” Emanuel said.

“To those who voted for us, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. For those who voted for someone else, I hope to earn your support.”

Still hoarse from a severe cold that hit him in the final days of the campaign, Emanuel congratulated Garcia for a “good race” and called him a “good man” with whom he looks forward to debating the issues in the weeks ahead. Then, he braced his supporters for the grueling, six-week spring ahead.

“To those who are gathered here tonight and throughout the city, you have worked hard. I want you to take a moment to celebrate what we have accomplished over the last four years. Take stock in it, and let us double down because, tomorrow morning, I’ll be seeing you at the L stops as I have every morning,” the mayor said.

THE WAGES OF STUPIDITY: Chicago continues assault on business with steep hike in minimum wage

By Investor’s Business Daily
Fiscal Policy: A city teetering on the brink of insolvency passes a minimum wage that would reach $13 by 2019, higher than the minimum elsewhere in a state that just elected a Republican governor. What could go wrong?

Ignoring the first rule of holes (when you’re in one, stop digging), the Chicago City Council, in a Tuesday emergency session called by Mayor and former White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel, voted 44-5 to raise the city’s minimum wage from the current statewide level of $8.25 an hour to $10 on July 1, with future increases bringing it to $13 by 2019. After that, it will be pegged to inflation.

What’s the emergency? Emanuel wanted to jump the gun on any minimum-wage bill that might come out of the state legislature in Springfield, particularly after the election of Republican Bruce Rauner as governor. Such legislation is said to bar cities from raising their minimums above the state’s. Rauner has said that any minimum-wage increases should be part of a package that promotes growth without reducing competitiveness.

“Raising the minimum wage doesn’t help somebody (who is) unemployed, and it doesn’t help somebody who’s employed and who could get unemployed because of the lack of competitiveness that raising the minimum wage could engender,” Rauner said.

The Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce, Illinois Hotel and Lodging Association and Illinois Restaurant Association all lobbied against the Chicago-only increase, arguing that it would give suburban business a 57% labor-cost advantage.

“Competitiveness” isn’t found in the leftist lexicon, but the concept of a living wage is. This notion says that employees should be paid based not on the value of their work but on the demands of their lifestyles. Street protests and the lobbying of pandering policymakers have replaced a good education and an improved skill set.

One alderman who opposed the Chicago-only increase and whose ward borders on nine Chicago suburbs, Mary O’Connor, rightly predicted “unintended consequences,” ranging from more “vacant storefronts” to fewer jobs and shorter hours for those having or seeking a job.

Companies are neither charities nor pipelines for income redistribution. Increased labor costs either force them to move to friendlier business climes, hire fewer workers, cut worker pay, pass costs on to customers, replace employees with technology, or all of the above.

Moody’s Investors Service has downgraded Chicago’s credit rating by three notches, partly the result of $19 billion in unfunded pension debt. In the first decade of this century, the city lost 7.1% of its jobs. Its famous Loop, the second-largest business district in the nation, has reportedly lost 18.6% of its private-sector positions.

Raising the minimum wage will not reverse these setbacks. Time to stop digging, Mr. Mayor.

CHICAGO PUBLIC SCHOOLS “OUR” DOING GREAT

Now this is some really funny shit. This is what Obama, Rahm, teacher’s unions, and decades of Democrat run urban welfare kill zones have wrought. Nothing like a Chicago public school named after a famous black person, where the kids can’t read, write, add or subtract. At least they spelled Robeson correctly. I bet they have some really cool murals in this neighborhood showing black people doing great things.

Here are some more amusing facts about Paul Robeson high and the Chicago public school system:

  • The percent of freshmen who graduate from Paul Robeson high school within five years is 39.9%.
  • The ACT test is the best measure of how ready students are for college. A score of 21.3 or higher is “college ready.” “College ready” means that a student has about a 50 percent chance of getting a “B” or better in his or her college courses. The average score of the students that take the exam at Paul Robeson high is 13.4. These are the brightest and best at good old Robeson high.
  • Now for the real kicker. Thank Obama for those student loans doled out to anyone with the ability to breath. 53% of the graduates from Robeson high are “enrolled” in college. That is simply hysterical. No data on how many graduate. Do you think the American taxpayer will be getting paid back on those loans?
  • 91% have to take remediation courses in college because of their basic math and school-work shortcomings.
  • If you think the City of Chicago school system is bad, check out Robeson’s scores versus everyone else. Then remember that 53% of the graduates enroll in college:

  • The 50% level of meeting minimum standards for Illinois is pitiful to begin with. 30% for the city of Chicago schools is pathetic. 5% for Paul Robeson high is about the most atrocious result possible. You could probably guess on every question and achieve that result.
  • So doing some basic math, we know that 40% of their students graduate and 53% of them enroll in college. That means that 21% of graduates go onto college. How can this be if only 5% of them can meet minimum standards for math, reading, and science? Could Obama’s student loan program be the cause of rising tuition? If students who should not be in college enroll with taxpayer funded loans, the demand stays high. Price is a function of supply and demand. Creating artificial demand through debt causes prices to rise. I’m sure Al Sharpton will be doing a story about this on MSNBC tonight.
  • The student diversity is 99% black.
  • The school district spends over $13,000 per student per year and achieves this result. But, the libs and the unions contend that if you hire more worthless teachers and spend $16,000 per student, all will be well. The student to teacher ratio is 15 to 1. Does that sound overwhelming? The ratio in my Catholic high school was at least 25 to 1.
  • The average Chicago Public School teacher salary is $76,000. That is the average. They work 9 months per year, produce this kind of result, and get paid 150% more than the average worker in America. And this doesn’t include their gold plated pension and health benefits.

This is the end result of LBJ’s Great Society. In the Englewood neighborhood, where Robeson is located, the average per capita income is a paltry $12,255 and the unemployment rate is running at almost 24%. You can bet the majority of these kids have never met their daddy. The welfare mentality breeds this type of person and leads to this result.

THIS IS ARE STORY should be the title of Obama’s autobiography.

GUN CONTROL STILL WORKING OUT SWIMMINGLY IN CHICAGO: 9 Dead, 26 Others Wounded Over Easter Weekend

What was the old saw about guns and outlaws? It would appear that the corrupt, dimwitted Democrats running Chicago never heard it and can’t learn it.

At least nine people have been killed and 26 others wounded in shootings across Chicago since Friday… Of the 35 people shot, 10 of them were shot on Easter Sunday.

The weekend’s latest shooting took place around 1 p.m. Sunday in the 2800 block of South Sawyer Avenue, killed two people.

A 33-year-old man was fatally shot in the head and a 19-year-old man was shot in the chest.

The 19-year-old man was taken in critical condition to an area hospital, but police said he later died of his injuries… Police said the two were traveling in a vehicle when an orange hummer [sic] drove alongside and fired shots.

…Just after 5 a.m. Sunday two people were found shot to death in a Garfield Ridge home, police said.

The two were found unresponsive just after 5 a.m. Sunday inside a home in the the 5300 block of South Austin Avenue, said Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Jose Estrada.

I wonder how many of the 9 dead will be recategorized as “noncriminal death investigations” as part of Rahm Emanual and Gerry McCarthy’s ongoing scam?
