From Hardscrabble Farmer:
I don’t even know what to say about this. I take a lot of flak for pointing out that our government, with the aid and assistance of a compliant MSM, simply make up events and narratives to fit their agendas without regard to veracity or the integrity of the historical record. We live in a time when the combined technologies of the world could easily paint and almost certain truth in regards to the unfolding events of our day, more so than in any time in human history. Instead, they fabricate it. You can’t explain this away, you can’t justify it or condone it for any reason. This isn’t what they are obligated to do in the service of their nation and it’s citizens, it’s the exact opposite. They must understand that any thinking person who catches on to this is going to begin to question everything they claim. D.C. is not Hollywood or Madison Avenue. I can’t help but to shake my head every time I see another egregious example of their haughty insolence towards the people who pay their salaries.
Go ahead, tell me I’m wrong.
CIA should not have ‘live-tweeted’ Bin Laden raid, critics say
Twitter users panned the agency’s “live-tweets” of the raid that killed Bin Laden in 2011
Sunday was the fifth anniversary of the raid in Abbottabad
Twitter users reacted with criticism and confusion after the CIA “live-tweeted” the Osama Bin Laden raid that ended with his death five years ago. The “live-tweets,” posted Sunday as if they were happening in the present, drew critics long after the agency’s tweets concluded.
Many users wrote the tweets were “embarrassing” and suggested the CIA should call off the social media experiment:
Others trolled the CIA by accusing them of faking the raid, or asking where Zero Dark Thirty actress Jessica Chastain was. But a few found the tweets inspiring:
It’s not the first time the agency has tried to “live-tweet” major events in history. The CIA did a similar tweet last June to mark North Korea’s invasion of South Korea in 1950, but without indicating it was a throwback post, causing some to think the country was currently being attacked.
