SEE YOU ON THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON

Written in December 2019. Reposted in honor of the 50th anniversary of the album

And if the cloud bursts thunder in your ear
You shout and no one seems to hear
And if the band you’re in starts playing different tunes
I’ll see you on the dark side of the moon

And if the dam breaks open many years too soon
And if there is no room upon the hill
And if your head explodes with dark forebodings too
I’ll see you on the dark side of the moon

Brain Damage, Pink Floyd

Pink Floyd’s 1973 Dark Side of the Moon album is considered one of the greatest albums of all-time. It stayed on the Billboard 200 charts for 937 weeks. Roger Waters concept was for an album that dealt with things that “make people mad”. The Dark Side of the Moon’s themes include war, conflict, greed, the passage of time, death, and insanity, the latter inspired in part by former band member Syd Barrett’s worsening mental state.

The five tracks on each side reflect various stages of human life, beginning and ending with a heartbeat, exploring the nature of the human experience, and empathy. The themes of this album are timeless and are as germane today as they were forty-six years ago, if not more relevant. The country and world are awash in conflict, driven by the greed of evil men. Decent, law abiding, hard-working, critical thinking Americans see the world going insane as the passage of time leads towards the death of an American empire.

Political Purges Emerge Through the Compliance of Those Following Orders

Unthinking respect for authority is the greatest enemy of truth.

Albert Einstein

It is difficult to get a man to understand something when his salary depends on his not understanding it.

Fascism is capitalism plus murder.

Upton Sinclair

Supposedly, a mid-nineteenth-century American Medical Association pamphlet quoted Vladimir Lenin as saying:  “Socialized medicine is the keystone to the arch of a socialized state.”  Although online fact-checkers claim there is no “credible source”  proving Lenin actually made that claim, it does appear to be an accurate observation.

After all, before becoming President of the United States, Ronald Reagan identified “medicine”  as a traditional method of “imposing statism or socialism” on people.  In the same 1961 speech, Reagan claimed that it is “very easy to disguise a medical program as a humanitarian project” but, once the precedent is established, government would, in turn, form a dictatorship over the healthcare system prior to the “short step” to “all the rest of socialism” encroaching throughout society.

Four years after Reagan’s warning to America, Medicare began in 1965 as a federal health insurance program under the auspices of the Security Administration (SSA). And, today, the program is administered by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).

“Toto, I Don’t Think We’re in Kansas Anymore”

Via International Man

Recently, an American colleague commented to me, “We no longer live in a democracy but a dictatorship disguised as a democracy.”

Is he correct? Well, a dictatorship may be defined as “a form of government in which absolute authority is exercised by a dictator.”

The US today is not be ruled by dictatorship (although, to some, it may well feel that way.)

But, if that’s the case, what form of rule does exist in the US?

At its formation, the founding fathers argued over whether the United States should be a republic or a democracy. Those founders who later formed the Federalist Party felt that it should be a democracy – rule by representatives elected by the people. Thomas Jefferson, who created the Democratic Republican Party, argued that it should be a republic – a state in which the method of governance is democracy, but the principle of governance is that the rights of the individual are paramount.

They Won’t Awaken for Fear of Losing the Dream

By Doug “Uncola” Lynn via TheBurningPlatform.com

The great citizens of a country are not those who bend the knee before authority but rather those who, against authority if need be, are adamant as to the honor and freedom of that country.

– Albert Camus, Resistance, Rebellion, and Death

The task of men…is not to desert historical struggles nor to serve the cruel and inhuman elements in those struggles. It is rather to remain what they are, to help man against what is oppressing him, to favor freedom against the fatalities that close in upon it.…Man’s greatness…lies in his decision to be greater than his condition. And if his condition is unjust, he has only one way of overcoming it, which is to be just himself.

– Albert Camus, Resistance, Rebellion, and Death

Those familiar with the story of Noah’s Ark will know the ancient patriarch, as described in the Bible’s Book of Genesis, built a ship to ensure his family’s lineage through a great global flood. The mass population of Noah’s day would not survive the coming carnage and the people lived without any knowledge of what was about to happen. Perhaps they even ridiculed Noah and his family for building the ark. Regardless, the Walking Dead lived the dream until their world ended, abruptly, in a deluge that swept them to their respective deaths.

Pentagon Promotes Socialism to Combat China

Via Sovereign Man

Here’s our Friday roll-up of the most ridiculous stories from around the world that are threats to your liberty, risks to your prosperity… and on occasion, inspiring poetic justice.

Pentagon Hosts Event Promoting Socialism

The National Defense University (NDU) is a specialty academic institution founded by the US Department of Defense and funded by the US taxpayer.

NDU’s aim is to provide advanced education for senior leaders in the field of national security.

So naturally their big focus now is making the world safer… through Socialism.

Earlier this month, NDU hosted an event called, “Responding to China: The Case For Global Justice and Democratic Socialism.”

During the event, French economist Thomas Piketty who argued that global security requires “promoting a new emancipatory and egalitarian horizon on a global scale, a new form of democratic and participatory, ecological and post-colonial socialism.”

The Collapse of the American Dream

Via Armstrong Economics

The American Dream, where once upon a time, was when a parent saved to raise their children to have a perpetual better life than they had. Parents would save for their college education and they pushed their children to achieve. My father began saving the day I was born for my college education and law school.

Americans, no matter the circumstances of their birth, all shared freedom, opportunity, the right to build private businesses and enterprises, and a republic – “Representative Democracy.” We raised our children believing that they had a legitimate opportunity to live a better life than we did predicated upon their own skills and intelligence. We tried to instill a good work ethic, and that would provide good fortune for the future ahead.

The Ebb and Flow of the Tides of Nations

Via International Man

In advising those who are considering international diversification, the most common misconception I hear is that, “There’s not really anything you can do. The globalists are taking over the world and that means that there’s nowhere to go to escape them.”

Not so.

Clearly, much of what was at one time known as the “free world” is in a dramatic decline and this is most certainly due, in large part, to globalists. Consequently, those who live in one of the declining countries assume that the world mirrors what exists in the country in which they live.

Many of these people tend to be fatalists and assume that they have no options. However, throughout history, there have always been countries (and empires) that were in the declining stages of their “shelf-life.” But, likewise, there have also always been those countries that were on the rise at the same time.

Dear Remnant: The Best Things in Life are Free

By Doug “Uncola” Lynn via TheBurningPlatform.com

An online friend and fellow blogger posted an article on his website last month entitled: “It’s a Fourth Turning, What Did You Expect?”.  Since then, the question has roiled in my mind and my answer remains: “not this”.  Recent events and circumstances are NOT what I expected because, honestly, they are more bizarre than I would have imagined.

Keep in mind the words you’re reading were typed by someone who has been waiting for the bombs to drop since high school. I’ve always had a sense of doom – perhaps due to my curious mind and my innate willingness to apply logic. As a result, I went Galt in the spring of 2011, or about 6 months before Ann Barnhardt, the commodities broker who joined Galt’s Gulch upon typing her epic letter against the corrupt collapse of MF Global.

As a member of Strauss and Howe’s Nomad Generation, my personal alarm bells went off around the time of the Judge Bork non-confirmation and the concurrent Black Monday, in 1987. Next came the stained blue dress, hanging chads, 911, The War on Terror, TARP, and Obamacare. By that time, I figured the jig was up.  Then, it was the Benghazi/YouTube clownshow and by the time the red line in Syria was crossed, I was nestled into my allegorical “bunker” waiting for the TV screens to go static.

Now, Covidism? Nope. Definitely not the Fourth Turning I expected.

The Goal of Covidism is Communism

By Doug “Uncola” Lynn via TheBurningPlatform.com

Most of us have heard the phrase: “The goal of socialism is communism”.  Perhaps, at its core, the statement is a reference to creeping incrementalism, or, stated another way:  Give Marxism an inch and it takes a mile.

Just like Covidism: it was given an inch and it took a mile.  In only eighteen months America advanced, incrementally, from Flatten the Curve® and lockdowns to mandatory vaccinations:  All because of a virus that mostly endangers the elderly and those with serious health concerns.

From an economic standpoint, Covidism, like socialism, has allowed for some capitalism over the last year and a half: a centralized form of capitalism, to be sure, as some workers and businesses were defined as “essential” and others deemed more equal were financially subsidized by the state.

The Deception Spinning in Your Head Simply Means They Want You Dead

By Doug “Uncola” Lynn via TheBurningPlatform.com

We are the hollow men
We are the stuffed men
Leaning together
Headpiece filled with straw. Alas!
Our dried voices, when
We whisper together
Are quiet and meaningless
As wind in dry grass

– T.S. Eliot

And as we wind on down the road
Our shadows taller than our soul
There walks a lady we all know
Who shines white light and wants to show
How everything still turns to gold
And if you listen very hard
The tune will come to you at last
When all are one and one is all
To be a rock and not to roll

– Led Zeppelin

Although most people are familiar with the legend of the Pied Piper of Hamelin, many today may not realize the story was derived from actual events.  The account, which evolved through the years into a fairy tale, described a village that was overrun by rats until a flute-playing magician, of sorts, came along to lead the infestation from the town. The “Piper” was dressed in bright colorful clothes and he captured the imagination of the people. As a result, the townsfolk offered to pay him money… if only he would lead the rats away. But when the piper appeared to remove the rats from the town, the people reneged on their offer and, in turn, the Piper came for the children.

The Good is Always the Enemy of the Best, Part 2 – Dumpster Life

Guest Post by Freed Radical

In Part 1, I wrote of a girl named Mia who lived on grubs in the desert, but journeyed to the Big City to discover a wealth of food and drink. The only problem was that her eating establishment was a dumpster out back of a restaurant. Mia was so taken with her new found food source that she refused to look for better, and she even rejected her best friend who was calling her forward to better. Take a minute and read Mia’s story if you have not already.

There are lots of dumpsters in life, some we discover, like Mia’s, and some we are forced into, or suckered into. Our benevolent government is doing its best to get every group of people to settle for some dumpster as their life’s normal. Might be a “we’re all in this together” lock down to flatten the curve, ridiculous face mask mandates in the name of safety, trading freedom for security, stimulus payments of play money while the currency is being destroyed, transgender mutilation for the praise of the woke, or welcoming infinite government as an eternal nanny. If you can get someone to accept eating out of a dumpster when they could be eating fresh food, and con them into loving it and even defending it, the game’s pretty much over for them.

Shocking Study Finds Paying People Not To Work Makes People Not Want To Work

Via The Babylon Bee

U.S.—A surprising new study released Friday found that paying people not to work made people not want to work.

Amid shockingly low job numbers released today, the study suggested that some of that low unemployment was due to the government sending everyone more money than they would have made out working a job. Some smart expert analysts are seeing a connection between incentivizing people to stay home and them staying home.

WHO IS SHAKING THE JAR? (PART 2)

In Part 1 of this article I documented the never ending false narratives used by those shaking the jar to keep us at each other’s throats. I will now show how 2020 was a turning point in history, with an accelerating decline of our empire in progress.

FOURTH TURNING ECONOMICS (PART TWO) – The Burning Platform

The numerous examples of how those holding the jar shake it to generate conflict and chaos to achieve their Machiavellian ambitions pales in comparison with what they accomplished during the fateful year of 2020. They began shaking the jar at hypersonic speed by weaponizing the annual flu, giving it a scary name and then faking data to scare the entire world into lockdowns and mandatory masking, even though “science” said neither of those “solutions” worked against viruses. And the science was right.

The Grand Inevitability of Unavoidable Endings

By Doug “Uncola” Lynn via TheBurningPlatform.com

It is true people are known by their actions. We are what we do. Or, more specifically, we are what we do and not what we say we’ll do. Actions speak louder than words.  It means if the swamp were to be truly drained, there would have been a steady progression of media revelations indicating genuine results during the Trump administration. Therefore, to quantify any progress of swamp draining, I collated headlines in a series of articles posted in the spring and summer of 2018. The objective at that time was to identify actual trends prior to the midterm elections based upon reported news, instead of political spin, empty promises, smoke and mirrors.

The final compilation of the series of articles was posted on September 1, 2018 and was entitled “Destination in Sight”. It summarized specific trends in accordance with previous monthly postings and there were two prominent progressions identified: 1.) The advancement of Socialism and 2.) The technological ascendency of Orwell’s Big Brother.

Boo hoo. The Moonbats Stole Our Election. Now What?

By Doug “Uncola” Lynn via TheBurningPlatform.com

I had lunch with two friends the week before the November 3, 2020 U.S. Presidential Election.  One of the men is an unconfessed Socialist and the other is a Republican in Name Only (RINO).  During our discussion, the RINO told the Socialist he was voting for Trump.  Honestly, I was very surprised because I’m quite sure he voted for Hillary Clinton in 2016. So, afterward, I privately asked the RINO if he had seen Tucker Carlson’s interview of Tony Bobulinski. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the RINO replied he did not watch “pulp journalism” and that he only deals with the “facts and hard reporting” as found on the digital pages of The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal.

Of course, a sh*tfest ensued.  In summary, the RINO would not hear anything about Bobulinski’s response to Joe Biden’s (second presidential debate) claims of “Russian disinformation”, he believed Biden would (deservedly) win in a landslide, that Trump has f*cked up America’s Covid response, and that he [the RINO] was actually voting for Biden.  It turned out he was joking inside the restaurant when he said he was voting for Trump.
