U.S. Suicides Reached Record High Last Year

Well, based on the data, TBP should be experiencing mass suicides, since 80% of our readers are old angry men. Personally, I think TBP keeps old men from committing suicide because it gives them a place to bitch and complain, and realize there are thousands more just like them, so they stop being depressed. I’m a lifesaver. I also noticed 80% of all suicides are men. That clearly proves that women are the reason men kill themselves. Is it really suicide? Or just being nagged to death?

More Americans committed suicide in 2022 than in any other year on record, according to data released by the CDC on Wednesday.

The National Center for Health Statistics recorded nearly 50,000 suicides last year, up 2.6 percent increase from the prior year. The 2022 suicide rate of 14.3 per 100,000 Americans is the highest since 1941.

The increase in suicides was largely driven by older Americans taking their own lives. Suicide rates for young people returned to pre-pandemic levels in 2022 after soaring in 2021 amid the social isolation and financial stress caused by the pandemic and resulting lockdowns. Suicide rates for children aged 10-14 declined by 18 percent in 2022, and rates for young people aged 15-24 declined by 9 percent.

Twin Crises Rattle America: Suicides And Drug Overdoses Hit Record Highs

Via ZeroHedge

A disturbing trend in America: New data reveals that suicides and drug overdoses climbed to a record high in 2022. The twin crises have been rapidly accelerating post-Covid and could be a symptom of a worsening nationwide mental health crisis.

Instead of ‘woke’ corporate media outlets pushing gender identity conversations and warning about the end of the Earth because the hamburger that you eat and the car you drive are allegedly heating the planet (what about El Nino? or the billionaires that fly around in private jets and sail on diesel-powered megayachts?) — perhaps America’s mental health crisis is a more urgent topic.

New data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reveals a staggering 49,500 people took their own lives in 2022, a record high — that’s a 2.6% increase from the prior year. Notice a trend (we outlined it for you)?

The High Cost Of Locking-Down America: “We’ve Seen A Year’s Worth Of Suicide Attempts In The Last Four Weeks”

Authored by Michael Snyder via The End of The American Dream blog,

Locking down much of the country may have helped to “flatten the curve” a bit, but it has also had some very serious consequences that public health officials did not anticipate.  Humans were created to be social creatures, and forcing us to isolate ourselves from one another for weeks on end has turned out to be quite problematic.  This has especially been true for those that live alone.  Today, the U.S. has a higher percentage of one person households than ever before, and keeping those individuals totally isolated in their own homes is not that different from putting prison inmates in solitary confinement for an extended period of time.  In both cases, it can be just a matter of time before people mentally break.

Even before this pandemic came along, the suicide rate in the United States was already soaring, and now the number of suicides is spiking like we have never seen before.  Just consider what Dr. Mike deBoisblanc of John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek, California says is happening in his area

DeBoisblanc said he believes it’s time for California officials to end the stay-at-home order and let people back out into their communities.

More People Died Of Suicide Last Week In Tennessee Than COVID-19

Authored by Mac Slavo via SHTFplan.com,

As we previously warned, this pandemic will bankrupt and kill more people from suicide than the virus will. When you sacrifice people’s livelihoods, you create a difficult situation of desperation for many who will see no other way out.

We are about to have a mental health crisis during an economic depression that will be tough to live through.  The virus is no longer the problem.  The government’s reaction has been the problem and even some politicians have figured it out. Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs revealed in a weekly update that our solution to this pandemic has not been a good one.

Experts Fear ‘Suicide Wave’ As The Social Fabric Of America Becomes “Unstitched”

Via ZeroHedge

Millions of Americans have just lost their jobs in the last several weeks due to the COVID-19 outbreak shutting down large swaths of the US economy. Households are coming under severe financial stress, with no savings, insurmountable debts, and job loss. Many are waiting for President Trump’s stimulus check to arrive in the mail, some have skipped out on their rent or mortgage payments on April 1, and others have called their credit card companies to defer debt servicing payments as incomes for tens of millions of people have gone to zero.

The panic buying of food and supplies over the last month shows just how many people were unprepared for a national health crisis, nevertheless, now developing into an economic crash, and soon could be followed by a period of social unrest.

But before the social fabric of America becomes unstitched – households are to crack first. Their finances are piss-poor, with no savings and insurmountable debts, which include auto, credit cards, and student loans.

Who or What Is Killing the Bankers of Wall Street?

Guest Post by Jesse

“While the earnings of a minority are growing exponentially, so too is the gap separating the majority from the prosperity enjoyed by those happy few. This imbalance is the result of ideologies which defend the absolute autonomy of the marketplace and financial speculation. Consequently, they reject the right of states, charged with vigilance for the common good, to exercise any form of control.

A new tyranny is thus born, invisible and often virtual, which unilaterally and relentlessly imposes its own laws and rules … In this system, which tends to devour everything which stands in the way of increased profits, whatever is fragile, like the environment, is defenceless before the interests of a deified market, which become the only rule.”

Francis I

“He was a murderer from the beginning, not standing with the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks of his own, for he is a liar, and the father of lies.”

John 8:44

It feeds on whatever is fragile, vulnerable, whether it be the environment, the public peace, the weak, the marginalized, the poor, the disabled, or the hearts and minds of children.

Peace and love are weakness; conquest and plunder are our calling.

There are a number of possible explanations for this recent cluster of untimely deaths on Wall Street.
