Ted Cruz Grows Out Mutton Chops In Preparation For Civil War

Via The Babylon Bee

AUSTIN, TX — Tensions have escalated dramatically between the federal government and the Lone Star State as illegal immigration continues unabated at the southern border. Following the Supreme Court’s decision in favor of the Biden Administration’s right to remove razor wire placed by Governor Abbott’s National Guard, Texas Senator Ted Cruz grew out mutton chops in preparation for Civil War.

IT’S WAR—Finally!!!

Via State of the Nation

Editor’s Note: Truly, this is the defining moment of the Second American Revolution we’ve all been waiting for.

However, and it’s a HUGE “However”, we really don’t know if the Texas State Government is ready to go balls to the wall.

The letter posted below and written by Gov. Greg Abbott does not show an addressee.

Why didn’t the Governor send that explosive missive directly to Biden, with a copy to all of his direct reports?

Nevertheless, the statement that Abbott wrote is as big as it gets as the following analysis explains:

TEXAS AGGRESSIVELY REASSERTS ITS CONSTITUTIONAL STATE’S RIGHTS

Editor’s Note

There’s really only one way to practically avoid a violent Second American Revolution at this late date.

The conservative states must compel their GOP leadership to disengage from the U.S. Federal Government…and to resist every single Washington attempt to overreach and oppress.

Much more significantly, the Right-leaning states must aggressively fight any and all forms of federal tyranny in their own back yard (as Texas now appears to be doing).

Will Texas Save Our Republic?

Last week, the United States Department of Justice announced that it will be suing Texas to stop enforcement of Texas Senate Bill 4, a law intended to allow Texas law enforcement to help enforce federal immigration law. You can read the complaint here.

If I were advising Governor Abbott, here’s what I would tell him: You are uniquely situated to be a hero by acting to stop the long-standing immigration crisis. The State and much of the nation are standing ready to support you in this effort. Here is what you must do: pose a credible threat of noncompliance with any federal order, whether administrative or judicial, that would stop you from doing what is necessary to protect Texas, and more than that, the American nation. You could call this the Old Hickory Option: “John Marshall has made his decision, now let him enforce it!”

Allow me to explain.

THIS DAY IN HISTORY – Texas declares independence – 1836

During the Texas Revolution, a convention of American Texans meets at Washington-on-the-Brazos and declares the independence of Texas from Mexico. The delegates chose David Burnet as provisional president and confirmed Sam Houston as the commander in chief of all Texan forces. The Texans also adopted a constitution that protected the free practice of slavery, which had been prohibited by Mexican law. Meanwhile, in San Antonio, Mexican General Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna’s siege of the Alamo continued, and the fort’s 185 or so American defenders waited for the final Mexican assault.

Texas Isn’t Leading Us to the Promised Land

Now I know there are MANY fine, upstanding citizens on Burning Platform who are from Texas. Good folks through and through for sure, and I am sincerely praying for all of you. No kidding. But you’re going to have to face the facts. Texas is a shit show and it pains me to say it, but them’s the facts. It’s a terrible travesty what’s going on there and we have to pray that our patriots in charge at the White House will declare a national emergency. Or something.

Is the Texas Covid ‘Spike’ Fake News?

Guest Post by Ron Paul

On July 2nd, Texas Governor Greg Abbott issued an executive order mandating the wearing of face masks across the state, whether indoors or outdoors, when six feet cannot be maintained between people. In the governor’s decree, he cited a rise in Covid cases, a rise in test positivity, and a rise in hospitalizations as justification to force people to cover their faces in public.

The move is not only a violation of the civil liberties of all Texans. Abbott may have based his executive order on inaccurate information about a “rise” in Covid cases due to the Texas State Department of Health Services changing the definition of what constitutes a “Covid case.”

Watch: Park Ranger Thrown Into Lake In Texas Over ‘Social Distancing’ Enforcement

Via ZeroHedge

There’s been an increasing number of incidents between law enforcement and antsy Americans eager to get back outdoors after being sick of ‘stay at home’ and state-wide lockdown measures. But often individuals’ desire for a rapid return to normal is butting up against continuing social distance measures still in place in most states, even those already opening up their economies.

A viral video showed one such recent tense encounter in Texas, when a park ranger attempted to break-up a large group of young partiers at a state park. It happened at the Commons Ford Metropolitan Park in Austin, Texas. A group on Lake Austin was reportedly unlawfully drinking and smoking on the grounds when a ranger approached and ordered them to “disperse” also due to people were not standing six feet apart.

That’s when things got physical, resulting in the officer being pushed or thrown into the water, according to widely circulating footage:
