Will More US Troops in Saudi Arabia Make America Great?

Guest Post by Ron Paul

President Trump deserves credit for resisting the war cries from neocons like Sen. Lindsey Graham and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo after last week’s attack on two Saudi oil facilities. Pompeo was eager to blame Iran because he wants war with Iran and anything that can trigger such a war is fine with him. So he put the president in a difficult spot by declaring Iran the culprit: suddenly the president’s options in the media and in Washington were limited to “how to punish Iran.”

Trump May Send Up To 50,000 Troops To Syria

Tyler Durden's picture

It appears that Mike Cernovich, who earlier this week wrote that Trump’s national security advisor, Gen. H.R.McMaster, was planning on sending as many as 150,000 troops to Syria, may have been right again. According to Bloomberg commentator Eli Lake, who has now made a habit of confirming Cernovich “conspiracy theories” (he did so previously with the Susan Rice scoop), Trump may be on the verge of escalating the proxy war in Syria by sending anywhere between 10,000 and 50,000 troops on the ground, and – if Cernovich is indeed correct – as much as three times more.

A NATION OF BLITHERING IDIOTS

In separate polls, 75% of Americans think the sun goes around the earth, 85% don’t know who is buried in Grant’s tomb, 62% don’t know the name of the Vice President, and 98% plan on purchasing Kim Kardashian’s selfie book of ass shots.

If you asked the very same people who think we should send young men to the Middle East to fight a phantom terrorist organization that we created and armed to fight Assad what ISIS stands for, their expression would look like this:

These morons can’t even find Iraq on a map, and they want to send troops to die defending America from this existential threat of 20,000 Muslims with machetes and pickup trucks.

WTF do these people think troops on the ground will accomplish? Can you tell a friendly ragheaded Muslim from a terrorist ragheaded Muslim? Do idiot Americans think we won the Iraq or Afghanistan wars? It’s now been 13 years and Iraq and Afghanistan are more fucked up than ever. They are crawling with enemies now. There were no terrorists in Iraq in 2002. Now it has become a never ending quagmire of violence, terrorism, war and destruction. And it’s our fault.

And the blithering idiots in this country actually think we can defeat ISIS by sending more young men to die. And note which party truly loves war. I can’t wait for the next Republican President so we can go to war with even more countries.

According to a poll from YouGov, just over half of the American public would support a deployment of ground troops to fight ISIS. Democrats are divided on the question of ground troops while Republicans overwhelmingly support it. One of the primary reasons 53 percent of Americans support sending ground troops is that there are few alternatives.

Even though air strikes have stalled the momentum of ISIS militants in Iraq, less than one in four Americans believe the group can be defeated through air power alone. However, some good news has emerged from Northern Iraq over the past few days with news that government troops have forced ISIS combatants to flee Tikrit. A confident Iraqi military gaining momentum may well provide the American public with another alternative in the fight against ISIS.

He Supports All The Troops

Guest Post by Ed Moran

He Supports All The Troops

He supports all the troops,
He’s glad to see them go,
He fills them with patriotic fervor,
And sets their hearts aglow.

He conjures up a marching band,
He makes them all feel proud,
He tells them to take a stand,
And say the pledge aloud.

He tells them of the enemies,
Those filthy, evil foes,
Those foreign devils must be stopped,
And so his story goes.

Then they go in their prime,
To kill and fight and die,
Cut down before their time,
While loved ones wonder why.

His tales of glory,
Are just a story,
From forth his fetid breath,
They lead to sorrow,
And no tomorrow,
Just endless, dreaded death.

RAND PAUL – “I’LL FOLLOW THE CONSTITUTION”

Watching and listening to Sean Hannity makes my skin crawl. This neo-con propaganda spewing hack is a lying sack of shit. He continuously badgers Rand Paul with his neo-con talking points that are entirely false.

George Bush signed the agreement with Iraq to withdraw all American troops from Iraq. Maliki told Obama to get out. It was the right thing to do.

Iraq is a sovereign country. It is none of our business to intervene in their civil war.

Rand Paul rightly points out we should have never gone to war in the first place. Hannity doesn’t want to hear that truth and blathers about the tremendous stability after the surge. Bullshit. We paid the two sides millions to not kill each other. There have been bombs going off every day in that country since 2005 killing innocent Iraqis. Just because Hannity and Faux News didn’t report it, doesn’t mean it wasn’t happening.

When Hannity tries to get Rand to commit to sending troops or bombing Iraq, he puts it back in Hannity’s face. Following the Constitution never entered dimwit Hannity’s mind. He is no better than Obama or the idiots on MSNBC when it comes to shitting on the U.S. Constitution. He was left speechless when Rand said he doesn’t want U.S. troops fighting next to Iranian troops in Iraq.

Fuck Sean Hannity and his neo-con brethren.
