Morality, Truth, Facts Have Exited From The Dying West

Guest Post by Paul Craig Roberts

If you don’t think we live in a crazy world, here is Netanyahu, the genocidal zionist leader of Israel, an invader which has destroyed Palestine and seized Palestine for Jews, expelling Palestinians from their homes, villages and country, accusing Abbas, the front man chosen by Washington and Israel as Palestine’s leader, of being a Holocaust denier. https://sputniknews.com/middleeast/201805021064078676-netanyahu-abbas-holcaust-denial/

A rival absurdity is the nomination of President Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize. http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?521843-Trump-Formally-Nominated-For-Nobel-Peace-Prize

In the account I read, Abbas says nothing about the Holocaust. He says that the European prejudice against Jews resulted from European’s experience with their sharp financial practices, not from some sort of religious hostility. This is, of course, consistent with numerous historical accounts predating the Israeli colonial occupation of Palestine.

Will Russia Surrender?

Guest Post by Paul Craig Roberts

The Russian government’s sincere and diligent effort to prevent chaos in Syria and additional massive refugee flow into Europe, all the while avoiding conflict with Washington and its vassals, has been brought to an end by Washington’s intentional attack on a known Syrian army position, thus wrecking the cease fire agreement that Russia sacrificed so much to achieve.

The response to this fact by the Obama regime’s ambassador to the UN, Samantha Power, reveals that Washington will lie to the hilt in order to achieve its agenda of reducing Syria to the same chaos as Washington has reduced Iraq and Libya. Washington, and Washington alone, is responsible for the war in Syria. When the British Parliament and the Russian government blocked Obama’s intended US invasion of Syria, the Obama regime armed and financed jihadist mercenaries to invade Syria, pretending that the jihadists were Syrian rebels fighting for democracy in Syria. Samantha Power turned history upside down and blames the war on Russia’s intervention at the request of the Syrian government against the ISIL jihadists that Washington sent to destabilize Syria. What Samantha means is that if Russia had not come to the aid of Syria, Washington and ISIL would already have destroyed Syria, and there would be no war.

Is the West Disintegrating?

Guest Post by Patrick J. Buchanan

On Jan. 1, 2002, the day that euro coins and banknotes entered into circulation, my column, “Say Goodbye to the Mother Continent,” contained this pessimistic prognosis:

“This European superstate will not endure, but break apart on the barrier reef of nationalism. For when the hard times come, patriots will recapture control of their national destinies from Brussels bureaucrats to whom no one will ever give loyalty or love.”

The column described what was already happening.

“Europe is dying. There is not a single nation in all of Europe with a birth rate sufficient to keep its population alive, except Muslim Albania. In 17 European nations, there are already more burials than births, more coffins than cradles.

“Between 2000 and 2050, Asia, Africa and Latin America will add 3 billion to 4 billion people — 30 to 40 new Mexicos! — as Europe loses the equal of the entire population of Belgium, Holland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Germany.

“By 2050, the median age in Europe will be 50, nine years older than the oldest nation on earth today, Japan. One in 10 Europeans will be over 80. And who will take care of these scores of millions of elderly, before the Dutch doctors arrive at the nursing home?

Silk Road Gold Demand Taking All New Mine Production and More

Guest Post by Jesse

Nick Laird of goldchartsrus.com has provided the latest statistics on the consumption of gold by the ‘Silk Road’ countries.

The monthly demand from these nations as shown below has grown five-fold compared what it was prior to 2008.

In the latest month their total consumption, that is private purchasing and additional to official reserves, was 365 tonnes.

Nick has estimated global production as averaging about 260 tonnes per month.

This represents a shortfall of about 105 tonnes per month to be drawn from existing supplies.

So this is one reason why we have been seeing the existing stocks of gold around the world drawn down to cover the steadily growing demand from these countries.  And as you may recall, the central banks of the world became net buyers of gold around 2008.

Comex has little available stocks in its domestic warehouses compared to this demand, All of the gold in all the warehouses, whether it is for sale or not, if taken and liquidated is just over 200 tonnes as is shown on the report below.

London is a more substantial source of bullion, but is running down it’s supply as we have seen in the ‘gold float’ analysis also included below.

Interestingly enough, the year over year drawdown in the London free float is about 100 tonnes per month.

There is also supply in ETFs and Trusts.  This too has been drawn down steadily, particularly since 2013.

These are not precise figures, but estimates gleaning from public sources.  I suspect the supply numbers are ‘generous’ with regard to the free float and the unemcumbered nature of gold through multiple claims and leasing, but that is conjecture.

But no wonder the Indian government is so anxious to persuade their people to turn their gold into synthetic paper gold, and allow it to be hypothecated.  And no wonder that the Fed told the German government that their gold was temporarily inconvenienced until 2019.  And no wonder Venezuela is being leaned on so heavily to give back the gold that it so recently repatriated so it may be sold.

I wonder what it would take to increase mine production and bring more gold in as scrap and private sales to meet this growing demand.  Higher prices perhaps?

And if so, then perhaps knocking the price down so aggressively, crippling the precious metals mining industry, is not a fruitful idea for the longer term.

Given the current rate of growth in demand and the current state of supply, next year could be interesting.  Still, I never like to underestimate the ‘resourcefulness’ of the central banks, especially when they are operating in relative secrecy.

RELENTLESSLY FLOWING FROM WEST TO EAST

Guest Post by Jesse

Gresham’s law is an economic principle that states ‘when a government overvalues one type of money and undervalues another, the undervalued money will leave the country or disappear from circulation into hoards, while the overvalued money will flood into circulation.’

Notice the ‘sea change’ that occurred with Shanghai gold flows starting in 2013.

There were about 49 tonnes, or 1,575,000 troy ounces, of gold delivered from Shanghai in the latest week.

No matter what the pundits say about ‘gold bugs’ and all that sort of nonsensical disparagement, the central banks of the world have been net buyers of gold since about 2007, and the major countries of The Silk Road are buying gold bullion by the tonne each and every week.

Are they all unenlightened idiots? Goldbugs?

Are the central bankers of the world fools and dupes?

Or are we being misled by the global Banks?    Hard to believe, right?

Gold bullion is moving from West to East.

Islam’s Conquest of Europe

Guest Post by Patrick J. Buchanan

“Liberalism is the ideology of Western suicide,” wrote James Burnham in his 1964 “Suicide of the West.

Burnham predicted that the mindless magnanimity of liberals, who subordinate the interests of their own people and nations to utopian and altruistic impulses, would bring about an end to Western civilization.

Was he wrong? Consider what is happening in Europe.

Serbia, Hungary and Slovakia, small nations sensing they will be swamped by asylum seekers from the Muslim world, are trying to seal their borders and secure their homelands.

Their instinct for survival, their awareness of lifeboat ethics, is acute. Yet they are being condemned for trying to save themselves.

Meanwhile, the pope calls on Catholics everywhere to welcome the asylum seekers and Angela Merkel will be taking in 800,000 this year alone, though the grumbling has begun in Bavaria.

This is but the beginning of what is to come, if Europe does not pull up the drawbridge.

How Putin Can Win The Economic War Against The West

Submitted by pravda.ru

What are the objectives of the global economic war against Russia? Will the West disconnect Russia from SWIFT? Will Europe and the USA impose more sanctions on Russia? What’s happening to the oil prices? Will Syrian President Bashar Assad surrender? Pravda.Ru asked these and other questions in an interview with Ron Holland, author of many best-selling books

It has been a year since the US economic war against Russia began by the West. Which objectives have been set and have they been achieved?

I would suggest the objectives have been three fold but in fact I would date the sanctions war from Friday August 30, 2013. This was when President Putin offered a peaceful alternative at the last moment to stop the US military operation against Bashar al-Assad and Syria that was within hours of starting. Surprisingly the US called off the attack and this set in motion a series of events contrary to the goals of the US administration. I believe both Russia and China covertly played the Treasury debt card in order to protect their client states, Syria and Iran, from the impending US invasion.

I wrote in my September editorial at that time; Did Putin Quietly Play the Debt Card Over Syria that both Russia and China might have covertly played the Treasury debt card in order to protect their allies, Syria and Iran, from an impending US invasion.

There is hope and there is “another West”

Via The Vineyard of the Saker

I have said that many times on this blog and I will say that today: there is “another West” which we, all those who oppose the Empire, should never forget. This is a West which you will never *ever* see in the corporate media and it is formed a innumerable individuals who don’t go into politics, don’t organize demonstrations and who simply live a life of spiritual freedom, away from the degenerate, ugly, deceptive and evil order which the so-called “elites” have imposed upon us all. I mentioned this “other West” in my Submarines in the Desert post and I won’t repeat it all here. I will just say that I get amazing letters from that “other West” almost every day.

Letter which, if I posted them here, nobody would believe are genuine and I would be accused of making them up. I show some of them to my wife, but even to her I say that “if I showed you how many such letters I get you would probably have a hard time believing me”. I can sincerely say this: these letters have changed my view of humanity, quite literally, and now know, I really *know* something crucial: we are truly everywhere (as David Rovics put it) and there is a lot of us (even if we often feel isolated).

Yesterday I got such a letter and it deeply moved me. I replied to it’s author and ask for his permission to share it with you (without revealing any personal details). He agreed. So here it is:

Dear Saker,

I am sorry to write you because I know that you are very busy and you provide such a valuable service to me and so many others that are seeking the truth about Ukraine. I hope my message does not burden you and disturb your work or leisure.

I am an American, so totally disgusted with my country and it’s leadership. What lies and propaganda that are directed at Russia, Novorussia, it’s citizens and its determined and honorable soldiers makes me ashamed of my country. In addition when I try to explain the truth to people just how the war in Ukraine started with our usual coup tactics I get blank stares of disbelief. No one wants to hear that our government is driven by evil desires that is ruining the lives of so many innocent people. It is so very sad.

I have been reading your site for a long time and just now have added Fort Russ, Novorussia Today, Colonel Cassad, and some others that are speaking and showing the truth.

I am a carpenter, but have no work now. I have not had work in many months and am on the verge of losing my home. I have no savings and feel sad that I can not contribute to your site or to the victims in East Ukraine that my country is helping to kill and destroy. Often at night as I try to sleep I think about those who are suffering so, that are being attacked by our stooge government in Kiev. It eats at me and makes me so sad for humanity, I have no way to help and my fellow Americans, or at least most of them seem to not care at all.

Please forgive me for reading your precious truth and insight and not sending you your rightful due. I promise, if I shall get work or become employed I will not forget you and never will I forget my brothers and sisters in East Ukraine. May God bless you always and may he distribute justice to my evil American government.

Sincerely your eternal friend,

“Carpenter”
