I HATE WINTER PART 15

The temperature is hitting 50 today. Yippee!!!!

I get to enjoy it for about 8 hours.

Guess who’s in the 4 to 8 zone?

At least it only falls during my commute to and from work. That will be at least 4 hours on the road.

I hate winter and global warming scientists.

No snow here in Southwest Florida unless you are our disgraced Representative Trey Radel.

The spokesman from Capital One is asking you, “What’s in your trunk?”

Shovel, first aid kit, blankets, empty gas can, warm shoes and socks and gloves for that long walk in the snow, jumper cables, high energy snacks and drinks, tire inflation kit, and other stuff. Don’t forget some firewood and matches.

My tee time tomorrow is 0810. I’ll need to wear a sweater for the first 3 or 4 holes. Heh.

46? The guy had a hard life. He looked 60+. Heroin addicts tend to die. Sometimes it takes years. Sometimes it takes seconds. Hope it was worth it to him. I understand he left 3 children. Dumb fucker.

No bikini pictures? Seriously? One of the ads on my screen has a couple of chicks with their knockers hanging just about fully out, but no bikini pics?

That is some kind of fucked up logic google has going on there.

No, no, no, no more bikini pictures, but you can post as many pictures of murders, assaults, gays, lesbians, unwed welfare mothers, and/or a topic related to diversity. What a joke.

Hoffman was found with a needle in his arm. Considering more people commit suicide than die in car crashes in the US, maybe it was just easier to go out on the horse train.

rags & Bullock – Even up here in the great arctic wilderness of north FL we’ll see low 80’s tomorrow and nothing less than 60 all week. I guess our two weeks of almost winter are over!! I only had to crank up the fireplace once this year and only for about 4 hours, and I actually had to go find my heavy windbreaker and that one sweater I have left for that day it got in the 30’s. If I hadn’t run out of smokes and coffee, I’d have not had to leave the house and the sweater would’ve waited another year to be relevant. Snow’s nice to look at on teevee, ain’t it?

For the first time since I moved to the big shitty, I haven’t seen my lawn since Christmas.

We are predicted to get another 5″ or so on Wednesday.

I firmly believe that Chinese pollution and Japanese radiation is having catastrophic effects on the climate of our West Coast.

I also firmly believe that taxing us will not change that as the rest of the world will be happy to buy their crap (lots of formerly high quality, American made products, now cheap Chinese crap).

It will, however, help to continue leveling the global income disparity playing field.

We, my friends, are going to be regulated and taxed into oblivion – literally – in order to bring down our standard of living to third world status. This, obviously, will both serve to make the rich, richer, while impoverishing the formerly unstoppable great middle.

Any regular American buying into the great prison state, and punitive tax environment, in exchange for safety and security deserves their soon to be broadcast on YouTube copfuk ass kicking.

It’s long past time to give up on this 24/7 entertainment world and figure out what truly makes a meaningful life.

Or, hang on tight and enjoy it while it lasts.

Either way the future will sadly be the same.

7″ now here 11 miles north of the Mason-Dixon. A heavy snow .

I’ve used the snow blower more this year than the last 4 years combined.

At this rate the kids will have school until July.

That little storm dropped 5 inches of snow on us. It wasn’t too bad, fell at a time that was convenient.

This next one is going to be a doozy though, we are seeing forecasts for as high as 11 inches of snow in an 8 hr period, and the back side of that storm will bring winds gusting up to 45mph and temps around -10 (non windchill).

This winter has been cold enough that even the old timers are willing to admit they’ve never seen it this cold before.

Also, the snow is slated to start flying at about 6am, when work starts. We may end up spending the night here, or at least staying until 9pm.

You Americans are welcome to keep your cold weather!. Down Under Adelaide and Melbourne have been seeing 44C (= 111 F), and the only time we see any snowfall is at relatively (for us) higher altitudes in the Snowy Mountains, where they actually do get a lot of very decent snow (= very good skiing too) for a few months annually.

Even in the midst of winter the coastal areas rarely if ever drop below zero C (32F), and once you get up North as far as northern NSW (e.g. Coffs Harbour) and above, it’ll take some very serious global cooling for them to have anything less than subtropical temps all year round.

For us, “cold” means anything much less than 15 C (= 60F); Last year we were staying with friends in the Blue Mountains (Katoomba) and it got down to a positively freezing 4C (40 F) and that was quite a system shock!! Not doing that again any time soon!!

Most of our shipping companies are calling things off for tomorrow, production is three days ahead.

Yet they will do the same thing they always do: Let us all get to work and get settled in, then send us home early (before lunch most likely).

Last year I called in on a snowy day and said “I’ll make up whatever hours I miss on Saturday”.

They sent people home at 10am.

Admin,
Only about 4-5 inches here. I had to drive the boss into the airport so I got to drive home early. Fortunately I picked up gas for the snow-blower.The big storm is set for Wednesday. Did I mention I fucking hate winter.

It barely ever snows here in MN. It also never melts. I like warm weather but I can’t move too close to the equator yet. I can’t get skin cancer until after I’ve gotten cirrhosis.
