Glad to be back. I was getting twitchy, I thought the tyrants had won. There was the post about Google servers and ads, then everything died. It’s getting harder to get the truth as days go by, the fascists are trying their best to close down everyone leaning to the right. Thanks for your efforts, Admin, I’m sure it was a pain in the ass, and you have better things to do. Life isn’t nearly as interesting without TBP.

Well thank God that TBP is alive and well again, I have no idea what happened over the past week but I’m looking forward to reading the story. Like most everybody that checks into the site regularly I was frustrated to get the error message that the site could not be accessed. I figured that the TPTB had finally done it and terminated the forum. I was very happy to get the message from admin earlier in the week that no matter how much they fucked with him he was determined to pack it in their ass. Bravo, let’s battle on and keep pinching their nerves.

When I reflect on who would have tried to destroy your site my thoughts turned not to China, Russia or even Iran but to our own US government or a hostile corporation. The reason so many “reformed” addicts drop dead after rehab is that when they inevitably relapse, they – because drug counselors could truly give a shit less about your lives – use the same amount as they did before they went to rehab. Due to their detox, the “same” kills them. Oops.
Keep in mind that once we are back up and running with our daily dose of doom porn, it might pay to take it slowly at first. We all remember how hard the truth was to swallow when our eyes first began to open.

Just took a break from planting for lunch and thought I’d try… so nice to see it back. I also sent money during the down time and would encourage anyone else who hasn’t to contribute. Jim’s been through hell and back, but found where real friends lie… thank goodness, there are a lot of them (and very influential, too, I might add)!
I know Jim will give us the full story, but I have long advocated for an “alternative” site where we can gather and share news if something like this happens. I posted news on RE’s doomstead diner, but also left several comments on Seeking Alpha and Zero Hedge. Finally decided to get off my butt and set up a temporary site just in case someone started searching. It’s <a href=http://temporary-burning-platform.tumblr.com/HERE. I set up this temp site on Tumblr because they’re owned by Yahoo and hate Google, but also because I can take it down at any time.
Stucky, I know you and others have more tech experience, so maybe someone else could set up a different message forum or something that remains dormant until we can’t access TBP. If nothing else, I’m happy to keep a list of emails, if anyone is interested in that. Anything to help communicate and keep in touch while Jim deals with the logistics of re-opening. Or I can just keep the Tumblr blog open, if people want to use that.
Either way, let’s have some kind of “plan B,” because you know they’re going to come for him again. At least for those of us who want to keep in touch and spread the news.
