John Arrillaga is the only Billionaire that I have dealt with personally. I can assure you he is one of the good guys. He got where he is by hard work and providing a benefit to society.

On day I should write up the story of how I met him and my dealings with him. It has to do with him and his partner helping someone who’s husband (my boss) had been killed in a car accident and she was struggling to keep the business going that he left her.

John Arrillaga and his partner build a building for the widow at cost. WHY? because sometime early on in John’s life when he was struggling someone went out of their way to help him.

I don’t know if he would even remember me. Probably not.

ASIG, I never heard of John Arrillaga and had to do a search on him. I have heard of his son-in-law.

John Arrillaga is one of the partners/owners of Perry-Arrillaga, The largest commercial building developers in Silicon Valley.

I didn’t know Richard Perry but I dealt personally with John Arrillaga two or three times a week over a period of months during the construction of a commercial building.

The real story is how they helped this widow who they didn’t even know. They had been asked only if they could help her find a building and that was all.

After hearing the story of her husband being killed and how she was trying to make a go of the business he left her, Richard perry and John Arrillaga made the decision that they would build the building she needed at cost. No one ever asked them to do that, It was something they just wanted to do.

So yea — Couple of good guys.

Boo hoo hoo hoo, I feel so sorry for these poor millionaires victimized by billionaires who are gentrifying them out of their neighborhoods.

But I can help out. Maybe they’d like to have a couple of thousand Section 8 voucher tenants from Chicago to provide “diversity” and “interest”, and to keep property values from inflating beyond their slender means. We will be happy to send them on, but the happy recipients will have to pay their moving expenses.

Just trying to help.

Arrillaga sucks! A truly benevolent billionaire would have built the fucker for free.
