LOL!!! These look like a “Rolls Royce Wittle w2b” knockoff. They were a simple design using 9 combustion chambers, oh but the heat and the noise!! The Brits used these during the WW2 era to clean ice and snow off the airfield runways. Good to see that the russians still have them!!

Check out youtube

Skip to the 9 minute mark and watch this thing strip concrete and grass all over the place.

Notice that these are mounted on the front of TANKER TRUCKS. Anyone care to guess what these cost to operate?

Although we probably have thousands of suitable jet engines sitting in desert graveyards, I wouldn’t hold my breath about the idea ever flying here. A congressional feasibility study would have to be conducted lasting five years, testing would take another five, and approval by numerous federal agencies another five. Finally, the actual plow conversions would undoubtedly be doled out with generous subsidies attached to the most politically connected parties resulting in the usual cost overruns and five more years of unexpected failures and delays.

Pffft! NASCAR uses jet engines to dry the race track in an attempt to get the races started again. Companies even “sponsor” the jet engines.

Maybe the jets run on vodka. That’s what’s in the tankers. And that guy with the snow plow that jet hit. Vodka related? I see a trend. Obama calls Putin late.. Putin has been drinking Vodka.. ww3.

@yahsure, good theory except Putin only drinks the blood of western bankers. No vodka.
