PHILADELPHIA—Stipulating that the funds be used for “furthering the invalidation of sexual assault claims wherever they occur,” an anonymous donation received Thursday by Temple University is reportedly intended to be used to build a center for discrediting rape allegations. “The donor, who has chosen to withhold his identity, requested that his $30 million endowment go toward a facility dedicated to undermining accusations of sexual abuse,” said alumni relations representative Cheryl Walker, adding that an unsigned letter accompanying the sizable contribution specified that the center act as a campuswide resource for damaging the reputation of rape victims, as well as a hub for research into methods of sowing doubt about sexual misconduct charges. “This benefactor, who is clearly a very wealthy individual, made plain through his legal intermediary that all students, faculty, and alumni have access to the center, and that especially promising work into tearing apart rape allegations until the accuser herself becomes an object of ridicule—even if such discrediting occurs decades after the fact—could receive additional funding.” Walker added that while $30 million was a significant amount of money, Temple had chosen to decline the funding and hoped it would not hear from the anonymous donor again.
In another breaking story, Jameis Winston has announced that he will transfer to Temple immediately. He was quoted as saying, “This is almost the perfect school for me, I just hope they put up a Red Lobster nearby.”
I hear Bill Cosby and Bill Clinton donated the money.
The sad thing is that it’s not such a bad idea. Ask the Duke Lacrosse team.
False rape accusations are in a womans toolbox. Seen it firsthand.
@John The Bruce: Some of these gal’s rape easy!
It is like the Tiger Woods story except at least Tigers Waffle House girls were consensual.
In the Roman Republic the ‘Remmian Law’ made perjury in open court resulted in the perp being branded on the forehead with a ‘K’ for ‘Kaluminator’ or one who foreswore himself. They were barred from giving testimony in court for life.
We have sex offender regestries in every state, and when run correctly (drunks urinating in public are classless but not sex offenders, for example), they are a public service. Why not have an American version of this law, complete with a national perjurer registery?
I nominate Tawana Brawley, the stripper from the Duke rape case and Susan Smith for the first three entries.

(This link gives a gen’l history of the law, which I first learned of in a Roman History class many years ago.)
OOps…’resulted’ should read ‘result’…my apology.
