US President Barack Obama’s move on immigration reform could protect up to five million illegal immigrants across the United States from deportation. Which states actually have the highest share of unauthorized immigrants? According to the Pew Research Center, 7.6 percent of Nevada’s population are unauthorized immigrants. California and Texas are both in second place with 6.3 percent each while New Jersesy comes in third with 5.8 percent. Those expected to benefit from Obama’s plan include immigrants living in the US illegally for at least five years, have children who are US citizens or legal residents, and who pass criminal background checks.

6.3% of 38 million (CA) is a lot more than 7.6% of 2.8 million (NV).
People will see that chart and think that Nevada has the most illegal immigrants, when in reality, they have a little less than a tenth that California has.

If you do the math for Arizona according to the chart, it comes out to 304,000 illegals in the state.
That’s a giant crock of shit. Even the liberal rags in Arizona, which always spout the LOWEST estimate, put the number at 400,000. Other estimates go as high as 600,000, which is close to 10% of the population.
These people put an enormous strain on state and local budgets, particularly in health and public education. Right now, Arizona is facing a $500 million shortfall in the upcoming fiscal year’s state budget. Meanwhile, the state’s infrastructure, especially roads, is going straight to hell in a hand basket.

I don’t blame the illegals more than I blame our government for letting them in and encouraging them to come. I would sneak in to the U.S. if I lived in a shit hole country and didn’t have the means to get here any other way.
The 14th amendment clause that allows anyone born on U.S. soil to be a U.S. citizen is the starting point. Then factor in free public education, healthcare, food stamps and only a token attempt to protect the border, it is no wonder we have an issue. I suppose, given the week that it is, that we could stop and give thanks that there isn’t more of them here. The ones that are too lazy, physically unfit for hard work and have no willingness to take risks in order to succeed stay home. We are getting the best they have to offer in some regards. Lawbreakers? Yes. Would I like to see them all sent back? Yes. Will that ever happen? No.
I just think that we should direct most of the blame for the problem on the government and not the individual lawbreakers even though they are the ones that made the choice to break the law and come here. They would not come if the conditions didn’t encourage it.
Ok, so now there is a path for criminals who have commited a crime, to have their crime become legal. So now we need a path for, I dont know, maybe pedophiles to have that be legal if they can get away with it for five years or more. Then maybe onto burglars, murderers… you know, the skys the limit with this precedence.
Man it must really suck in Nevada. The only place to live there is the southern border as the rest of the state is is Federal land except for a small corridor up the middle. Most of the state is giant military base/proving ground.

Slowly but surely we’re witnessing the USA polarize into racial politics. The funny part is that the black faction is opening the door to the Latino faction, thinking they are allies, when in fact both the U.S.-born Latinos and the still-moist cousins categorically detest blacks as a group (and soon it will ALL be about the group.)
The path ahead has the country ripping apart between what the Latinos can grab and the whites organize to defend, with the blacks standing in No-Man’s-Land acting as target practice. Everywhere I go, I see Mexicans. My state is not even in the list. I suppose those swarms of Mexican children I see, following behind no-speaky-ingles Mexican nationals parents, were mostly born here and qualify as citizens. Like cockroaches, for every one you see (who is counted as illegal) there are 10 you don’t see (their natural-born-citizen offspring). The Mexican women in my area who are my age are already grandmothers, and still popping out their own babies too…

I think it makes more sense to count the numbers of illegals incarcerated in the jails and prisons. In Texas that is about 30%.
That is a more accurate reflection of the total of illegals, IMHO, cuz that is the only time you can really count them.
