RELIGION OF PEACE STRIKES AGAIN

I wonder how this will be used to take away more of my liberty and freedom. I thought gun laws in France were really tough. Maybe they should make them tougher. Then the terrorists wouldn’t shoot anyone with AK-47s. Get ready for Obama and DHS to warn of impending attacks in the U.S. The economy is imploding, they need a new distraction. Muslim terrorists always fits the bill.

“It’s A Butchery” – 12 Killed In Terrorist Attack On French Satirical Magazine Charlie Hebdo: Live Webcast

Tyler Durden's picture

A tragedy is unfolding in Paris at the moment where armed men stormed the Paris offices of French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo on Wednesday morning, killing “at least 12 people” and injuring more, said a police officer. As a reminder, it was in November 2011 when the Charlie Hebdo’s headquarters were gutted by fire, hours before a special issue of the weekly featuring the Prophet Muhammad appeared on newsstands. Since then, the weekly moved to a new location, which was guarded by police, who were also shot at Wednesday morning. The shooters opened fire inside the magazine’s offices using automatic AK-47 rifles before fleeing, said the officer, cited by the WSJ. The attackers, described as “a commando with Kalasnikov and pump action… they went in there to kill” are believed to still be at large as France is “in shock” according to its president.

More details from AP:

Masked gunmen stormed the offices of a French satirical newspaper Wednesday, killing 11 people before escaping, police and a witness said. The weekly has previously drawn condemnation from Muslims.

French President Francois Hollande called the slayings a terrorist attack and said that several other terror attacks have been thwarted “in recent weeks.”

Xavier Castaing, head of communications for the Paris police prefecture, confirmed the deaths in the shooting at the offices of Charlie Hebdo, a satirical weekly that been repeatedly threatened for publishing caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad, among other controversial sketches.

Hollande rushed to the scene and top government officials planned an emergency meeting.

Luc Poignant, an official of the SBP police union, said the attackers escaped in two vehicles.

A witness to the attack, Benoit Bringer, told the iTele network he saw multiple masked men armed with automatic weapons at the newspaper’s office in central Paris.

In this video one can hear gun shots as the commentator remarks it is an automatic weapon. A woman can be seen running down the street and diving for cover between two cars.

A snapshot of what the alleged attackers look like via @Zaidbenjamin:

As Guardian’s Alexandra Topping writes: “The journalist Martin Boudot, from the Premières Lignes agency, has posted this video from the roof of a building situated close to the Charlie Hebdo building. we can hear gunshots and voices who cry ‘Allahu akbar’. In the distance we can see at least two people who appear to be fleeing.

Other newspapers in Paris have been placed under police protection, according to Le Monde.

French president Francois Hollande quickly arrived at the scene of what he called is clearly a terrorist attack. The latest headline updates from Bloomberg as they come in:

  • HOLLANDE SAYS 11 PEOPLE KILLED IN PARIS SHOOTINGS
  • PARIS ON HIGH TERRORIST ALERT, HOLLANDE SAYS
  • FRANCE’S HOLLANDE SAYS THE ATTACK IS A TERRORIST ACTION
  • HOLLANDE: SEVERAL TERRORIST ATTACKS FOILED IN RECENT WEEKS
  • HOLLANDE: FOUR PEOPLE ARE ’BETWEEN LIFE AND DEATH’

The latest from Guardian:

A French police official says 11 people are dead in a shooting at a satirical weekly newspaper in central Paris.

Xavier Castaing, head of communications for the Paris police prefecture, confirmed the deaths.

French President Francois Hollande was headed to the scene of Wednesday’s shooting at Charlie Hebdo, a satirical weekly that has drawn repeated threats for its caricatures of the Prophet Mohammed, among other controversial sketches.

Hollande’s full statement:

Francois Hollande has been speaking to the media. He said that 11 people had been killed and four people seriously injured but 40 people had been rescued.

Hollande said that the security level had been increased in Paris and a number of terrorist plots had been foiled in recent weeks.
An emergency meeting will be held at the Elysees Palace in the next hour.

Hollande said France had experienced “an exceptional act of barbarism committed against a newspaper”.

France was facing a “shock”, he added. “We need to show we are a united country,” he said.

France had to be “firm and strong” adding: “We will fight these threats and we will punish the attackers.”

France had been targeted because it was a country of freedom but no one would be allowed to go against “the spirit of the republic” in this way.

More on the controversial history of Charlie Hebdo via the Guardian:

Charlie Hebdo has a long record of taking its satire seriously. The weekly magazine’s response to previous efforts at intimidation was to be even more controversial or outrageous, defying the constraints of religious sensitivity or political correctness.

In November 2011, its offices were fire-bombed after it had published a special edition, supposedly guest-edited by the Prophet Mohammed and temporarily renamed ‘Charia Hebdo’. The cover was a cartoon of Mohammed threatening the readers with ‘a hundred lashes if you don’t die laughing’.

The petrol bomb attack completely destroyed the Paris offices, the magazine’s website was hacked and the staff were subjected to death threats. But six days later, it published a new front page depicting a male Charlie Hebdo cartoonist passionately kissing a bearded Muslim man in front of the charred aftermath of the bombing. The headline this time was: L’Amour plus fort que la haine (Love is stronger than hate).

Less than a year after that, it published more cartoons of the Prophet Mohammed, including images of him naked and a cover showing him being pushed along in a wheelchair by an Orthodox Jew. The French government had appealed to the magazine not to go ahead with publication, and shut down embassies and schools in twenty countries when it went ahead anyway, out of fear of reprisals.

French mooslim terrorists …… do they immediately surrender after a bombing?

Some similar mooslim terrorist shit happened in Sweden recently …… there was SOME anti-mooslim backlash ….. and then thousands of Swedes performed various acts (letters, gifts, etc) to make sure the mooslims understood that they were loved and accepted.

Fuck Europe. They’re a lost cause.

Only copfuks and military may have one. “Besides, Germany is a very safe country”. True, until it’s not. I bet some folks in France(the ones that are still alive) wish they had a hogleg and the knowledge of its use right about now. We must never, ever submit to gun registration. Historically registration is followed by confiscation. Then we are truly toast!

Islam is fucked up. Living with 10th century concepts and laws.

Terrorists are just plain criminals that justify their actions in the name of the fuckin’ towel head Muhammad. My idea is that the US recruits similar mercenary criminals to terrorize the terrorists. Hell we could pay them $1000 for every decap head. This would be much more cost effective than using $1,000,000 cruise missiles to kill a few sand niggers in a pick-up truck.

Islamists are pawns in a game bigger than all of us.

When social mood is high and rising, no one sees risks anywhere; all men are embraced and “we are the world” multicultural open immigration seems GREAT.

this viewpoint is Oh So Last Decade.

Government is the ultimate committee, the very last entity to give up on last season’s “fashion.”

The new fashion is to see others as THREATS. The new fashion is to Stop Immigration.

Attacks like that in France will feed the next fashion: Kick the Foreigners Out, or drive them to a man into the sea.

This is the future, if not the “imminent.” Tolerance is over. Love it or hate it, reality doesn’t care. A war of culture is about to begin and the government will be the vary last to realize it and get on board.

No one will be allowed to watch from a safe vantage point. Pick your side and embrace it. The next fifty years are going to be vicious, much like the 14th century’s100 years war.

Someone said that we should not say “radical Islam” but “primitive Islam.”

Too many times in history radicalism turned out to have been a good thing; these religicidal primitives do not deserve that association.

Another thing, Sharia is a primitive fusion of church and state – absolutely opposed to the libertarian value of religious tolerance. Until and unless Sharia yields unto Caesar what is Caesar’s, it remains undeserving of religious tolerance.

That fusion means that Islam is a political system masquerading as a religious one.

I know very little about Islam but I do know a good deal about military operations and I’ve been reading The Art of War of and on for most of my adult life. How does anyone know for certain that the people responsible for these acts are actually true believers or simply soldiers using misdirection as a tactic. You’ll probably notice that in the US anytime someone goes on a local killing spree every detail of their life becomes public knowledge- where they lived, who they lived with, the kinds of therapy they underwent, the kinds of videogames they played and how often, their political affiliations, their middle names (always), etc. When these type of events occur the only thing we hear is that they were yelling ‘Allahu Akbar’ .

judging by the shot grouping in the windshield of the police vehicle and the alleged use of automatic weapons, we’re dealing with some exceedingly well disciplined and heavily trained men (sorry ladies, just calling it like I see it) who possess all the traits of professional mercs rather than an Islamic version of deacons and elders acting out on behalf of their prophet.

But why? What’s the gain? Leftist publications like the one they hit are for all intents and purposes running cover for a multicultural Europe, almost always promoting it, so why them? A cartoon? Really?

There is never a manifesto as there is with a Brevik type, never a communique like the kind delivered by the SLA, never a platform or political ideology like with nations, nothing but mystery. The only people telling us that these people are motivated by irreverant cartoons are the same folks who neither prevent these attacks from happening on their own soil, nor make any type of precaution to recitify the problem after the fact; in short, the clueless.

If you listened to Kerry’s speech today you would have thought that the best defense against “radical Islam’ would be to promote even more understanding of it by non-believers and more immigration to those nations being attacked by alleged Islamists. As I said earlier my limited knowledge of Islam makes it impossible for me to completely dismiss the possibility that these actions are in fact part of this religion, but if it were the case, would they not proud;ly accpet responsibility for defending their faith rather than scurrying away undetected?

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

I fear that the West is clearly in the last category.

Because these cartoonists and writers had printed and circulated stuff that allegedly offended against these religious psychopaths’ murdering pedophile Prophet.

Words and pictures, none of which could even be fantasmagorically claimed to have been “destroying their economies, etc.”

Ooh, goodie! Now because of the Charlie Hebdo butchery, the people of France are entitled to undertake an even more spectacular version of the St. Bartholomew’s Day massacre against the recently-growing, ever-more-disruptive, violently intolerant Muslim infestation destroying the fabric of French society.

Jeez, could anything have been better-calculated to ensure that the Front national becomes the dominant party in French national as well as regional governments?

I’ve have known and know many Islams, I also know many Mexicans legal and illegal. Most all of these assorted folks have some sort of religious notions but I never met any radical hateful or dangerous ones. They are like me and most of us. They don’t want to jack with anyone and they want to be left to work, live, share in friendship and raise their families in peace.

I’ve also met and had dealing with many bankers, investment bankers and financial movers. Generally they were wicked, shallow, deceptive, parasitic immoral fuckers. These are the people even before politicians that we need pay attention to and not be distracted from. These are the PTB and the other sometimes more difficult to identify elite PTB are helpless with out them. At 6:07 PM on 7 January, Administrator had (rhetorically?) asked:

How long before governments in supposedly free countries around the world realize that the only way to stop the actions of individuals like those who killed twelve people in Paris today is to allow peaceful, law abiding members of their societies to be armed?

Answer? FOREVER, chiefly because those who govern fear “peaceful, law abiding members of their societies” far more than they do the relatively much smaller cadres of freelance extortionists, murderers, and shit-disturbers who serve a useful purpose in “keeping up the skeer” among the sheeple thereby made “clamorous to be led to safety.”

“You honest men are such a problem and such a headache. But we know you’d slip sooner or later — and this is just what we wanted.”

“You seem to be pleased about it.”

“Don’t I have good reason to be?”

“But, after all, I did break one of your laws.”

“Well, what do you think they’re for?”

Dr. Ferris did not notice the sudden look on Rearden’s face, the look of a man hit by the first vision of that which he had sought to see. Dr. Ferris was past the stage of seeing; he was intent upon delivering the last blows to an animal caught in a trap.

“Did you really think that we want those laws to be observed?” said Dr. Ferris. “We want them broken. You’d better get it straight that it’s not a bunch of boy scouts you’re up against – then you’ll know that this is not the age for beautiful gestures. We’re after power and we mean it. You fellows were pikers, but we know the real trick, and you’d better get wise to it. There’s no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren’t enough criminals, one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws. Who wants a nation of law-abiding citizens? What’s there in that for anyone? But just pass the kind of laws that can neither be observed nor enforced nor objectively interpreted – and you create a nation of law-breakers – and then you cash in on guilt. Now, that’s the system, Mr. Rearden, that’s the game, and once you understand it, you’ll be much easier to deal with.”

Quite possibly the most naïve comments ever posted on TBP, which thankfully he started out with the admission that he knows very little about Islam. He should have stopped right there.

First recommendation. Read French national Paul Fregosi’s book, “Jihad in the West,” published in 1998. Tells you all you need to know about Islam. It has been a religion of terror and bloodshed since Mohammed died in 632 AD. No wait, it started when he was alive!!!!

Second, study madrassas and see how powerful and influential these Islamic propaganda factories are. They take millions of Muslim children from dozens of countries and turn them into potential suicide bombers and jihadists around the world.

Third, make no further comments about Islam until Steps #1 and #2 are completed.

Although I tend not to involve myself in the various religion threads that appear on TBP, it is not for a lack of knowledge. Rather it is that I long ago grew weary of the debate. But it is conceivable that my knowledge base matches or exceeds that of any other poster on TBP with respect to religions. I have rad many tens of thousands of pages on the subject, and covered the major religions in depth. I have tried to forget most of it. I say this because during these studies this one thing became apparent:

Islam is a warlike religion, it is a religion that promotes world domination of all humans. Islam has at its heart t convert all to Islam. In Islam it is not a sin to kill a non-Muslim. There are many examples of exhortations to war against non-believers. Perhaps the most telling thing is Islam’s punishment for Muslims that leave Islam. The penalty is death.

The images and use of beheadings is no accident. Islam promotes beheadings as a means of terrorizing the “opponents” of Islam.

In my opinion, Islam is the only religion of war that exists. It s not a peaceful religion, and Islam itself means to submit. Followers will not be satisfied until the entire world submits.

This will not end well. For every Muslim terrorist, there are hundreds of millions of Muslim sympathisers cheering them on.

If you remember one thing, remember the scenes of hundreds of thousands of Muslims cheering the downing of the towers. That tells you all you need to ever know. That is what Islam is all about.

If you want to know something about the “peaceful religion of Islam”, do a little research on the Assyrians Civilization and the genocide of those people at the hands of those that murdered them in the name of Islam. What you will find is that killing in the name of Islam has been going on for centuries. Their goal, their mandate is to convert the entire world to Islam. They will totally deny this within a free society. But when they have the power, when they are in total control in a society, the only option they will give you is to convert to Islam or die.
