What makes them so great to work for? Compensation? Respect? Innovation?
Google. Costco. Marathon Petroleum. The Container Store. L.L. Bean. These are America’s five best employers! Statista and Forbes have performed an extensive survey to discover America’s 500 best employers. It’s not a surprise at all that Google is ranked first, but did you expect the Fire Department of the City of New York to be ranked in the top 20?
The 500 Best Employers in the U.S. 2015 were chosen across 25 industries based on an independent survey by Statista. 20,000 American employees working for large firms or institutions have been asked if they would recommend their employer, or any other employers in their industry, to a potential employee.
More information and the complete list of the 500 best American employers can be found on Forbes.com or in the print issue, available from April 13, 2015.

Probably compensation and just not treating people like shit which seems to be a problem all over corporate America.
I nominate the TSA. No other organization allows you LEGALLY fondle tits, ass, pussy and dick of every age group, nationality, and gender, … AND get paid to do so. This seems like a dream job to me considering I’ve fondled just two humans for the past decade … Ms. Freud and myself.
Yesterday, the TSA leaked some of their guidelines used to determine if air travel passengers might be potential terrorists.

Unless I was desperate I would never apply to work in any of those places. I’d be bored to tears and inclined to start abusing dumb-ass customers for amusement. I’d last about 30 seconds in Costco or LL Bean.
Eh, the Harley plant here is not perfect by anyone’s imagination. Maybe its amazing for sales people? I just know production/maintenance and the like are “more of the same”, not terrible, and not much better than the surrounding companies.
