OBAMACARE ADDS $1.1 TRILLION TO THE NATIONAL DEBT & INCREASES TAXES BY $800 BILLION

The CBO, whose estimates are as accurate as a Tim Tebow pass, shows that Obamacare increases deficits by a total of $1,156 billion over its first 10-year period.  This is supposedly offset by cost savings of $879 billion (predominately $802 billion saved in Medicare) and unrelated tax increases of $631 billion (predominately $346 billion in investment income surcharges). These government accountant weenies always underestimate the costs and overestimate the savings. The cost of Obamacare will soar past $2 billion. The States are already being overwhelmed by the increase in Medicaid enrollees, far above the estimates made by the Obamanistas. This bloated abortion of a healthcare plan will accelerate the destruction of our economy.

problem

Everyone of these taxes will be passed along to you in the form of higher prices. I thought Obamacare was supposed to save every family $2,500 per year. I’m still waiting. How about you?

ocip

The biggest joke in the CBO estimates is the $800 billion in Medicare “savings”. There will not be a dime of savings. The AARP and the senior citizen lobby will scream bloody murder if Medicare is cut. And these government cuts aren’t really cuts at all. They consider a slowing in the rate of increase as a cut. That ain’t a cut in my world. Medicare spending will go up by hundreds of billions over the next ten years. Book it.

Medi-thief-LI

Everything Obama promised regarding Obamacare has turned out to be false. He has enriched the medical industrial complex. He has increased the healthcare cost burden on every family in America. He has forced small businesses to close. He has incentivized large businesses to reduce hours for their employees and hire only part-time workers. There are still 30 million people without healthcare coverage. He has added trillions to the national debt. He has reduced the quality of care. He has drastically increased the bureaucracy that goes along with government controlled healthcare. In conclusion, he has fucked it up real good. Obamaclusterfuckcare.

I am so sad and mad that I live in a failed country. This is one huge example of it.

My theory is that obombya care is intended to explode the medical care system paving the way for the sheeple to beg for a single payer government system. I am spitting nails about this.

Stay healthy my friends.

But the American people ARE spending more money, so that is a very good thing for the economy. Couple this with the 137% LTV auto industry boom and…

Yep. I fucking knew it. Not a great stretch of the imagination required to see this coming in 2007.

How the hell can some of you buy into that Tea Party meme of Obamacare being prelude to a single-payer system when it’s pretty obvious Obamacare was structured to “enrich the medical industrial complex”? The single-payer proponents didn’t even get a chair at the few discussions prior to the bill being written (by the medical industrial complex)!
We seriously need to trash Obamacare in favor of a single-payer plan like the rest of the developed world. If the .01%ers want a gold-plated plan, they can keep their gold-plated plan.

@Westcoaster – I agree in principle, but a single payer system could never work here. We are a nation of pill-poppin’ hypochondriacs, made so by a pharmaceutical industry that makes 100’s of billions/year by selling fear and easy solutions. Also, single payer HAS worked fairly well around the world for the past few decades, but they are doomed systems as well.

Healthcare is a conundrum, I can’t even picture an ideal system for an ideal world. There are endless moral and financial complexities involved. What I do know is that our system has been a fucking train wreck for decades and was made far worse by Obamacare and a single-payer system implemented by our current govt and pharm. industry would only continue/accelerate that trend.

No problem. I can buy a new car, pocket $10,000 cash at signing and pay some special Federal assessment excise tax so the government can then subsidize states with Medicaid-Obamacare grants. WHAT CAN GO WRONG?

Westcoaster,

Single payer systems require reduced quality of care and rationing to work.

They start out looking good, then reality catches up to them and they begin by hiding actual costs then as it worsens extend waiting times for treatments for anything other than life saving emergencies as a stealth form of rationing and eventually start actual rationing of treatments, medicines and other services based on age and expected results (only those most expected to recover receive treatment, the others are just allowed to die even if they had a small chance if it was done).

Read the foreign press, there is no excuse to be ignorant of this.

Leftcoaster, you prove my point.

I do agree that the insurance companies and pharmaceutical companies are gouging right now, eventually they will be told how much “profit” they will be allowed.

This is a planned stepping stone.

New Zealand’s is better than most but some of what is described above is evident. THE saving grace is that private practice and private insurance are allowed so that supplemental care (or expedited care for things that have long waits in the public system) are provided fast and well if you pay yourself either directly or though insurance. Since the NZ public system works somewhat well, the cost of good private insurance is very very reasonable based on a U.S. perspective (less than $250 per month for a couple in the later half of their 50s for example). Also, if you make a decent living you can afford to pay outright for surgeries or at least not go bankrupt even without insurance.

I have an Obamacare policy only because I am in my early 60s, have medical issues, and am not yet old enough for Medicare. My blood pressure medication alone is almost $200 a month, which comes out of my pocket with my other medical expenses until I reach the $5,000 annual deductible. Then I pay 30% of the next $5,000 or so, until I hit the total out-of-pocket of $6,250.

This magnificent policy costs me nearly $500 a month, or close to $6,000 a year. So yeah, I’m getting fucked big-time by Obummercare.

It used to amaze me when I listened to so many of my liberal friends supporting this abortion called “health care reform.”

Then it hit me. Only one of my liberal friends who supports this disaster is actually covered by Obamacare. All the rest carry either employer coverage, Medicare, or Medicaid.

The FSA is alive and well. I pray for the day that there is some kind of collapse or panic so that all these freeloaders get the boot.
