Lincoln quotes about blacks are proof he was a racist, based upon the revisionist view of history that is in vogue among liberals and race baiters. And while they’re at it, they might as well knock down the Jefferson Monument, since he owned slaves. Then we should destroy Arlington, since it was owned by Robert E. Lee. And half the monuments at Gettysburg are Confederate. Think of all the jobs we can create destroying monuments. Krugman will be thrilled with the economic boost.

Today we have over 10 US military bases named for generals of the Confederate States of America.
For example, Fort Polk is named after a plantation master of several hundred slaves. Fort Pickett’s namesake was accused of war crimes in executing 22 Union prisoners.
Forts Benning, Bragg, Polk, A.P. Hill, Rucker, Beauregard, Lee, Hood all carry similar tales.
When these bases were built, during the World Wars, it may have made sense to name them after local heroes. Now, with over 20% of our forces African-American why do we insult them by asking them to serve at a base named after defenders of slavery WHO KILLED AMERICAN TROOPS?
Would we have a Goering Air Base or Camp Cornwallis?
There are so many honorable people who upheld our American ideals, can’t we find 10 to honor?

All Confederate Veterans are, by act of Congress, US Veterans under the law. All Confederate soldiers were “AMERICAN TROOPS”. The entire recent debate regarding confederate symbols is about destroying the history and culture of the South in order to make the people their easier to control and less likely to resist federal intrusion. Big government controlling every aspect of our lives is the dream of the fascists / statists ( both major parties ) that now run the Federal Government. This is about control – not about healing social wounds. Those that are jumping on the bandwagon to remove these symbols are what the communists term “useful idiots”. They are doing the bidding of their fascist masters without even knowing it. No one that understands any of this would consider signing the petition.
Forts named for Confederates? Confederate battle flags? Now it is clear what is happening in the ghettos of the country. This has been proven in St. Louis. Congressman Lacy Clay says rasiss Confederate monuments are a cause of violence in the AA community. Stop celebrating raciss people from 150 years ago and the killings will stop.
We need to replace the Confederate with Martin Luther King freeing the slaves at the Selma Bridge.
