World War III with China dead ahead

World War III? OK, so you’re distracted by Trump vs. Christie? By Wall Street hyping a bull-market recovery? So we forget war, they’re “over there,” nightly news clips of faraway killer bombs.

Wrong, WWIII really is getting closer. At the launch of the Iraq War, the Bush team warned us of the “mother of all national security issues … by 2020 there is little doubt that something drastic is happening … warfare defining human life.” Pentagon generals are planning ahead for that 2020. But most Americans are more interested in their next gadget.

Wake up. USA Today headline: “CIA veteran Morell: ISIS’ next test could be a 9/11-style attack.” That warning’s from an insider with George W. Bush in 2001 when hijacked airliners hit the World Trade Center. Twice acting CIA director, says USA Today’s Susan Page. With Obama in the situation room when word came “Navy Seal Team Six had killed Osama bin Laden.”

Morell’s new book, “The Great War of Our Time: The CIA’s Fight Against Terrorism From Al Qa’ida to ISIS,” makes clear America is already fighting World War III today. Worse, WWIII will go on for decades, “for as far as I can see,” says the CIA insider.

Yes, WWIII is hot news with the Pentagon brass. The Wall Street Journal just reviewed “The Ghost Fleet” by Peter Singer and August Cole. Singer’s “one of Washington’s pre-eminent futurists.” He’s now “walking the Pentagon halls with an ominous warning for America’s military leaders: World War III with China is coming.”

In fact, even America’s advanced new F-35 fighter jets may be “blown from the sky by their Chinese-made microchips and Chinese hackers easily could worm their way into the military’s secretive intelligence service … and the Chinese Army may one day occupy Hawaii.”

Speculation? No, the Journal’s Dion Nissenbaum reminded us Chinese hackers have already got into “White House computers, defense industry plans and millions of secret U.S. government files.”

Singer’s “written authoritative books on America’s reliance on private military contractors, cybersecurity and the Defense Department’s growing dependence on robots, drones and technology,” and why that puts national security at high risk.

Military Times correspondent Lawrence Korb, a Naval War College veteran called “Ghost Fleet” a “realistic scenario of what might happen if a brewing Cold War with China and Russia” ever turns hot.

New World War: Forget Big Oil? Buy more military defense stocks?

Yes, WWIII is closing in, getting hotter. Last year it almost ignited with China’s takeover of disputed islands in the South China Sea.

Truth is, Americans love war. Yes, wars cost money. Add huge debt. New taxes. Still, we’re macho, we love war. Why else let the military budget burn 48% of your tax dollars? Why ignore Nixon staffer and historian Kevin Phillips’s warning that “most great nations, at the peak of their economic power, become arrogant, wage great world wars at great cost, wasting vast resources, taking on huge debt, ultimately burning themselves out.”

Admit it, we love war. Marine Corps posters grabbed me as a kid. Trained me in aviation weapons systems. Five years ago I couldn’t resist Erik Sofge’s edgy fast-paced thriller, “China’s Secret War Plan,” a frontrunner of Morell’s “CIA War Against Terrorism” and Singer’s “Ghost Fleet.” In Popular Mechanics: One of my favorites as a kid working in a small-town magazine store. Yes, “popular,” part of America’s DNA since the Revolutionary War.

Sofge’s WWIII fast-paced thriller begins on Aug. 9, 2015, 0400, a moment predicted years ago, yet ironically right about the upcoming GOP presidential primary debates. China’s war against “Taiwan starts in the early morning … 1,200 cruise and ballistic missiles rise from heavy vehicles on the Chinese mainland … Taiwan’s modest missile defense network, a scattered deployment of I-Hawk and Patriot interceptors … slams into dozens of incoming warheads … a futile gesture … The mass raid overwhelms the defenses as hundreds of Chinese warheads blast the island’s military bases and airports.”

“Taiwan’s air force is grounded … Taiwanese troops mobilize in downtown Taipei, take up positions on the beaches facing China, just 100 miles to the west. But they know what the world knows: This is no longer Taiwan’s fight. This is a battle between an old superpower and a new one.”

Warrior mind-set sabotages our superpower status and economy

Yes, this is how WWIII starts, between an aging war-lovng America, versus the world’s rapidly emerging superpower, China, with a population that’s one billion larger than America by 2050. China, an economy 40% of the world’s GDP, versus GDP 14%. China’s the new superpower, an enemy planning as we waste economic resources.

“Chinese seem to have taken the lead in this new arms race,” warns Sofge: “When Rand released a report in 2000 describing the potential outcome of a Sino-American conflict over Taiwan, the United States won the war handily. Nine years later, the nonpartisan think tank revised its analysis, accounting for Beijing’s updated air force, its focus on cyber warfare and its ability to use ballistic missiles to take out American satellites.”

Rand’s 2009 conclusion: “The United States would ultimately lose an air war, and an overall conflict would be more difficult and costly than many had imagined.” Ouch. The Bush team said the Iraq-Afghan Wars would make America stronger. Yet ended as a example of Kevin Phillips warning, in what’s now our “biggest foreign policy blunder” in history.

Sofge captures the insanity of America’s war plans: This WWIII scenario lasted 24 hours, weakens our economy, our superpower status, indirectly handing victory to China. And now, our irrational, neocon war-brain wants new wars with Iran, Russia, you name it. Yes folks, America loves war, in that mind-set we will take on trillions new debt, questionable victories.

Powerful new war strategies: Cyberattacks on the 4th of July

Future warriors: New “army” of hackers, tech geeks, game players, search-engine geniuses. Today Chinese compete, using Google, Facebook, X-Box technology, cyberwarriors, trained by war-loving generals. The Pentagon knows: They’ll add trillions to our budgets, taxes and deficits, preparing for future cyberwars, before combat .

Read Sofge’s 2010 “China’s Secret War Plan” thriller, read Singer’s “Ghost Fleet” … see how America could lose WWIII to China … in less than a day. Leaders on both sides have macho egos, love war, make irrational plan, disregard long-term costs.

America’s ego was losing Pentagon war games to China five years ago, says Sofge … Singer now reinforces that threat of a China triggered WWIII. Unfortunately, our wars are weakening America. We’re closing in on the Bush Pentagon’s dire prophesy: “By 2020, warfare will define human life.” So our general spend trillions to prepare us for anything, anyone, anytime. Why? We love war!

Maybe we should spend our defense budget on weapons that actually work, unlike that piece of shit boondoggle F-35.

Also, maybe we should close down about a hundred or so extraneous bases around the World. Also stop poking the Russian bear for NO reason.

The Soviets failed because they tried outspending the Americans militarily and ruined their domestic economy. Sound familiar?

From a military standpoint it makes sense to stop spending so much on toys, and instead put that towards making American more self-sufficient.

That way when war breaks out we aren’t screwed.

You all seem to assume that the USA is meant to win the next world war. It isn’t. WWI was a setup to dismantle monarchies and some of their empires. WW2 was a setup to permanently take out Germany. WW3 is going to be a setup to take out the USA, and set someone else up for 40-80 years of apparent dominance. That someone might be China, but don’t be too sure. It may be an oligarchic non-national group, like a more public and blatant version of the Bilderbergers, for instance.

Greetings,

It is a myth that the Soviet Union went belly up trying to keep pace with the US. Unlike us, those guys had a 5 year plan so budget changes with regards to military spending were easy to track. The Soviets had one opportunity to increase spending during Reagan’s presidency and they did not increase spending. We know for a fact that their scientists went to the Politburo and told them that Star Wars was a waste of effort and that there was no need to respond to it.

“It is a myth that the Soviet Union went belly up trying to keep pace with the US.”

Having Reserve Currency status and a printing press helps as well. If we went to war with China, that means US consumers will no longer enjoy cheap Chinese products. What about all those igadets and electronics that are manufactured in China? More importantly, how much time and money will the US have to spent to retool itself once China shuts down its exports to the US? How many foundries are operating today in the US? Tick tock….

How’s about we just cancel the war and let China have Taiwan? They’re going to take it anyway, so we might as well skip the death & destruction.

So are you all saying our only hope in winning a war is to nuke them first?

@NickelthroweR
Yeah, that’s right. I got carried away with my argument.
But, nonetheless, they DID spend too much on military for whatever reason (as do ALL countries, except Costa Rica), and they sure messed up their own economy.

So if China is guilty of hacking into U.S. gov websites why don’t we slap a 25% tariff on everything they want to sell here? Just might revitalize some U.S. manufacturing, and for God’s sake stop using chinese-made parts in U.S. weapons and weapons systems.

You’ll all be happy to know that the glorious Chinese government market regulators have approved margin loan backed securities.

Westcoaster,

It’s called “Free Trade”, specifically GATT followed by the WTO of which China became a member a the end of 2001 (and after that American made consumer goods simply disappeared from out stores).

We’re not allowed to impose unilateral tariffs on another member nation without getting permission from the WTO first and they are unlikely to do this for a politically punitive reason.

“So are you all saying our only hope in winning a war is to nuke them first?”

I wasn’t saying that before, but yes, we would need to hit them with a devastating first strike, because we will have various problems (supply lines in particular) if things get drawn out. We would also need to figure out our new suppliers for almost EVERYTHING because we’d be eliminating a major supplier of tons of stuff we use.

The way to win a war is to be utterly ruthless. The US hasn’t done this since 1945, and we probably committed millions of arguable war crimes in WWII (not that our enemies didn’t also).

But hey, who wants a war with China anyway? I don’t. There are some evil cabalistic types who want it. The rest of us get no benefit.

SSS

Piffle.

The Soviet Union collapsed because of its poorly state-managed domestic economy, which took the wind out of the sails of everyone who wanted to work hard and get ahead. Expenditures on cheapshit military hardware had nothing to do with it. The Politburo rejected ANY hint of capitalism and built a domestic economy that made day-to-day living a boring nightmare for the average citizen.

Want a car? The waiting list was two years or more, cash upfront. Washing machines were about the same wait. For a fucking washing machine!!!!! And you got a total piece of shit for your money. Do you like ice cream? Your choices were three – vanilla, vanilla, and vanilla (which was quite good when I tried it in 1979). Entertainment? How does opera, ballet, and chess sound to you? And the movies and books were propaganda crap. But there was always plenty of cheap vodka to dull the senses and create a national problem with alcoholism.

Get the picture? I did when I visited the Soviet Union. I left thinking, “This shit ain’t gonna last.” And it didn’t. 10 years later – whoosh, it was gone.

SSS

There will be no war with China. Book it, Danno.

The problem with getting nuked by China is that just one hour later you feel like getting nuked again!

This is because they cooked the shit out of the cream, as it was half rancid by the time it reached the processing plant. Excessive heat treatment is good for ice cream as it improves the texture. I wouldn’t have advised drinking USSR milk.

The rest of your post is spot on…for a change. 🙂

Whatever the benefits to any victor (if there would be one) of a WW3, it would be greatly outweighed by the costs incurred. People who talk realistically about engaging in a world war are fools with a death wish.

Seriously, is it all about Taiwan? I can’t see the Chinese invading the U.S. to get our women.

China doesn’t need to invade Taiwan when it can gradually assimilate it.

Hold on there super spy! Do you think the U.S. Will stand by and let China destroy the Dollar as the World Reserve Currency? I doubt that shit will happen without a war.

War with China is inevitable.

WARNING: China’s New “World Bank” Threatens U.S. Dollar

China has just made another strike against the U.S. dollar with a new “world bank” – the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB).
By now 57 countries have been approved to join forces in this $50 billion global economic “superpower” cooperative – and the United States is not one of them.
India, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Britain, and Germany are among the founding members in China’s AIIB.
Washington officials have declined to join. They say this bank will rival the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank, and the Asian Development Bank – and fear Beijing will use this new bank to strengthen its economic power.
China’s AIIB is just the latest in a string of moves from the Red Dragon to promote its currency, the yuan, and remove the U.S. dollar as the world’s reserve currency.
The fallout of these deals has such dangerous economic consequences that the CIA’s Asymmetric Threat Advisor Jim Rickards has just released warnings for Americans to get prepared today…
“China is actually putting yuan bilateral trade agreements in place all over the world,” said Rickards. “Once there’s enough trade and enough volume in a certain currency, it can become a reserve currency. These are all straws in the wind, leading to the collapse of the dollar as the global reserve currency.”
Just look at these historic deals China has made recently to challenge the U.S. economy:
In May 2014, China signed a 30-year $400 billion energy alliance with Russia. The BBCwrote at the time, “…this deal could symbolize an important moment of transition – when both in economic and geo-political terms, Russia’s gaze begins to look more towards the East than towards the West.”
In November 2014, China and Russia deepened their economic ties with a second natural gas deal valued at $284 billion.
Also in November 2014, China signed a deal with Australia that eased restrictions on Chinese investment in Australia’s plentiful resource sector. The deal removes tariffs on 85% of Australian exports to China. Australia called the deal the “best ever between Beijing and a Western country…”
These deals are just one way China aims to take down the dollar. In fact, there are five dangerous catalysts that will destroy the dollar and trigger a massive economic collapse.
