WHO OWNS YOU?

Watch the damn video.  Then tell me if Josie is;

A) Right on the money

B) Delusional

C) A starry-eyed dreamer

D) Other  (make sure you explain it)

On a practical level, I do know this. If I don’t obey the laws, or pay the taxes, then I will damned well know who owns my fat ass ….. the prison. So, I pay and obey. I guess I’ll never escape my slavery. And that just fuckin’ sucks ass!.

Well, Bea… at least I know one of the two or three other people who read We the Living now.

Thanks.

T4C says:

And THAT….is why this is accurately deemed a Prison Planet.

As to her, again accurate, suggestions on how to not be “owned” she left out one caveat….To practice one’s owning of oneself, one must be fully prepared to accept the potential of Death as a consequence…on this planet anyway.

Assisted suicide is a crime in many places.

Oddly, in Rand’s first novel, which Bea, myself and one other bored person read, the protagonist walks out of the Soviet Union determined to escape from Communism or die. She is killed at the border just as she reaches Poland.

I guess I should have put “Spoiler Alert” but in reality, there is a reason only two or three other people read it. While it has a pretty decent storyline and protagonist, the writing is the most stilted of all of her books… and I think most of you know what that means.
