Unedited video of fatal deputy-involved shooting
he unedited version of a video obtained by KSAT 12 News showing the fatal shooting of a man by two Bexar County sheriff deputies will now be made available for online viewing.
The video will include the actual moment the 41-year-old suspect, Gilbert Flores, was shot outside a home in the 24400 block of Walnut Pass. The video also shows what deputies Greg Vasquez and Robert Sanchez did moments after the shooting. Vasquez and Sanchez are on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.
Copfuck Sheriff can’t cover this up. If this citizen didn’t take this video, this cold blooded murder would have never been revealed to the public.
Sheriff Susan Pamerleau held a press conference at 8:30 p.m. on Friday, stating that the video was “cause for concern,” and that deputies tried to use “non-lethal force weapons” before shooting Flores. On Monday, the sheriff’s office released the names of the deputies involved and the medical examiner’s office confirmed Flores’ identity.

This confrontation had been going on for some time.I never understand why these people don’t obey the officers then have your day in court. Why provoke the police to begin with. It almost like they want the police to kill them.It’s called …. suicide by cop….

The one thing I’ve learned by seeing the TV show Cops is that one should always have a shirt one when at home or in a vehicle. It seems that having no shirt on makes one a cop magnet.

His hands were going up and down as he was walking around. At the time the cops fired his right hand was in the air, you can’t see his left arm it was obscured by the pole, check it out. But surely there’s an eye witness closer than this video. If in fact he had both hands in the air the cop that shot him should be marched in front of a firing squad.

There you go – proof positive he had both hands up. No confirmation he had a knife or weapon (so bet he did not).

The facts will prevail! There has to be plenty of neighbors with eyes on. It appears to me they were chasing him down the street, related to the fact all three walk in from the left side of video. Hell, I’m all for disbanding the police, my community would be just fine and justice would be sure and swift.

If you slowly step through the 54-57 seconds, at 54 his hands are down and the black background over his left shoulder is angled down to his left. Clearly his shoulder is rounded down. At the 56 seconds his right arm goes up first followed quickly by his left arm. At 56-57 seconds his left arm goes up because the white of his left shoulder is angled up which means his left arm is up as well as his right, if you can’t see that then get yourself a better graphics card and a better monitor.
Both his hands were up, he wasn’t moving, he wasn’t a threat to anyone at that moment, and they shot him anyway.
That is flat out murder.

My ONLY point is, this video standing alone doesn’t prove shit. Someone better have more evidence than this if they want to hang the cops! If anything it show this “soon to be corpse” was walking around putting his hands in the air, dropping his hands, attacking in a threatening manner. Don’t forget the deceased individuals mindset will be well documented by the person or persons who called the law on him in the first place. They did not call the police because he was sitting quietly reading his bible. The cops may very well be guilty, but this video definitively proves nothing!

Sensetti, I know it will fall on deaf ears but I always come back to a simple question: if a person came onto my or your property in exactly that situation and he maybe made hand gestures (possibly because firearms were being pointed at him) and me or you shot him and killed him in exactly that manner with the exact same video footage would me or you be on paid desk duty and not arrested with the available evidence?
I highly doubt that we would be.
I want to see the video that it seems the DA doesnt want to release before passing final absolute judgement but if they refuse to release it i consider that telling enough that it only further incriminates them.

There’s another video from a neighbor! I want it released today, let’s put this to rest, it was either an execution or a valid shooting.
Before deputies Robert Sanchez and Greg Vasquez opened fire, Flores had punched and cut his wife and hurt her child, was acting violently and had forced his family inside the home, the sources said.
Flores was angry because he was told he could not be at the home, according to one of the sources.
Flores later came out of the home, and by then, the two on-scene deputies had radioed supervisors.
“The supervisors told the deputies to not let him back in the house if he came out,” one of the sources said. “They were preparing to send out SWAT and crisis negotiators.”

According to the sources, Flores emerged from the house, and tried to stab one deputy, but he blocked the knife with a Plexiglass shield.
“He would have stabbed the deputy if he did not have that shield,” said one of the sources.
The other deputy tried to use a Taser on Flores, but the probes didn’t completely strike him.
At one point, Flores tried to get back in the house, then into a personal car and also in a BCSO squad car, but couldn’t.
The second video, shot by one of Flores’ neighbors from inside a nearby home, shows more of the confrontation than the initial video and is “much closer and much clearer,” said one source.
“You can hear them (the neighbors recording the second video), saying, ‘Why aren’t they shooting him?'” that source said.

“It’s unfortunate,” that source said. “When you see that first video, everyone thinks, ‘oh man,’ but that second video supposedly gives you more of a perspective of why they fired.”
“The important thing here is that’s why you don’t rush to judgment,” that source said. “The first video didn’t show the several minutes leading to the shooting.”
At one point, Flores reached in his pocket and pulled his hands out and up, the deputies saw the knife and fired, the two sources said.
