QUOTES OF THE DAY

“If you end up with a boring miserable life because you listened to your mom, your dad, your teacher, your priest, or some guy on television telling you how to do your shit, then you deserve it.”

Frank Zappa

“If you want to get laid, go to college. If you want an education, go to the library.”

Frank Zappa

“There is more stupidity than hydrogen in the universe, and it has a longer shelf life.”

Frank Zappa

“The illusion of freedom will continue as long as it’s profitable to continue the illusion. At the point where the illusion becomes too expensive to maintain, they will just take down the scenery, they will pull back the curtains, they will move the tables and chairs out of the way and you will see the brick wall at the back of the theater.”

Frank Zappa

“There’s a big difference between kneeling down and bending over.”

Frank Zappa

“The United States is a nation of laws, badly written and randomly enforced.”

Frank Zappa

“You can’t be a real country unless you have a beer and an airline – it helps if you have some kind of football team, or some nuclear weapons, but in the very least you need a beer.”

Frank Zappa

I’m glad that there are a few smart asses like Zappa or Mencken to leave us some funny quotes, but I don’t see anything wrong with doing a solid day’s work, getting to the Shamrock when you can and raising a couple of decent sons. A lot of moms, dads, teachers and even priests have some sage advice if people would only listen to it. For most people, work is boring. That’s why they call it work. For most people, trying to avoid a “boring, miserable life” is exactly what leads them to a miserable life. Half the young men in the Squalor hope to be the next Fifty Cent. They’d be happier in the long run if they were content to start as assistant manager at KFC.

Frank Zappa came from a military family, his father worked for the MIC on bio-weapons. Frank understood completely that there is a construct that is purely theater in which we live. He loathed hippies but it was his job to promote the counterculture.

Frank organized and schooled the members of rock bands in Laurel Canyon who went on to become mega stars even to this day. It was a CIA/MIC project from start to finish. Zappa understood how the world works, if you read his quotes carefully you will get it.

The counterculture has ruined this country IMO, thanks a lot Frank.
