S.Q.O.T.D. —- Dollahs fer Donald

It takes about a billion dollars to run a National POTUS campaign. Donald has it.  Says he could sell a building.  But, he doesn’t want to. He’s going to accept money from other people.

Q1:  Are you disappointed?  After all, he’s been making this huge big deal all this time about being self-funded, and how he is beholden to no one. Fukdahum! I guess now that real money is involved, he’s changing his tune.

Q2:  You gonna send the billionaire some of your money?

——— if yes, how much?

——— if yes, don’t you feel like a sucker?

The Trump donation button is on the right side of the page. Give as much as you can. It will go directly to the Donald. I’ll personally deliver it to Trump Tower on the next TBP NYC get together. Stuck will be my body guard. We may hit a few Irish pubs first, but we’ll eventually get there.

Where’s the link for the announcement? Need details.

Q1: If it a quest for funds like The Bern, then it is OK with me (small donations from peasants have no effect on Administration policy).

Q2: NO – as a matter of principle, no donations to politics (that would be taking it up the butt by force and then saying thank you to the perp (or is it perv), or both.

Honestly, I expected this – a billion is a lot of money. He should take donations.

This is news? Trump has been accepting donations since last August.

He’ll get plenty of money, so I won’t be sending him any of mine. That’s reserved for TBP.

I have no problem with him taking donations – especially from small donors – as he’s limited to. Why should he have to spend his own $ billion? I’ll send him some.

Not planning on voting, so no. And point of fact, he has been ‘self funding’ by LENDING his campaign money. This means that when you guys send him money, he can use your donations to pay himself back. Not saying there is anything wrong with that, but lending your campaign money is not why he has been saying he was doing.

And yes, in my opinion, of you give him your money, you probably are a sucker.

Trump didn’t have to run a media campaign or much of an organization in the primaries though his lack of a ground game could have proved fatal had Cruz or Kasich won a few hundred more delegates. Now that he is going up against both the Democrats and their media auxiallary he will have to have both. Personal appearances just won’t cut it when all 50 states vote on the same day!

He also has to counter the tens of thousands of attack ads REPUBLICAN super PACS have already run to drive his negatives up as well as the thousands of ads the DEMOCRATS super PACS will run to portray him as a racist sexist pig.

Not raising money is to like bringing a knife to a gunfight. As long as he doesn’t personally have $100,000 per plate dinners at Mar y Lago with fatcats or put the grip on donors personally there is nothing wrong with accepting donations from supporters.

C’mon, his job was to fire all the GOP candidates and clear a path Forward for Hilly.
I can’t believe you fell for that wall baloney.
Although that was his clearest foreign policy proposal ever.
Now it’s rumored he will pick Carson as a running mate.
Neither Trump nor Carson can match Hillary’s eloquence.

She’s a shrill cunt!

Such a whiny dope.

I hope he doesn’t pick Carson… I think that’s just a rumor. He’s probably going to pick another seasoned businessman. That would be good for him… but I guess these days if you “VP” pick isn’t on the Billboard charts of recognition, it doesn’t matter. Plus the black card might help Trump who knows.

But anyone that actually loves, likes or even tolerates that skin-bag Clinton… I automatically disassociate with. Sadly, that has left me with very few friends. I can count them on one hand.

Proof positive about the effects of “media.”

Stucky, Am late to the platform but just had to say I will NOT be sending any money to Donald. HOWEVER, I would like to say ONE thing is defense of his asking for donations from supporters. (EC’s quite possible scenario NOT discounted.)

Trump, as a “shrewd” (or cunning, YOU pick) businessman, KNOWS that the only way that US citizens show their support of anything is via the $ transaction. So, while his polling folks can tell him that people like me and my sickened former Tea Party comrades are supporting him to try and upset the apple cart run by TPTB, they can’t really tell him who might or might not vote.

Money talks. He’s going to listen and determine if he really can pull this thing off.

And if he can? Well, that gives him a LOT of leverage with TPTB doesn’t it? And he can sell out to the Clintons for a LOT of business favors from “their” next administration. Eh, EC?

mst30k says:

@EL Coyote – you think Hillary is “eloquent?” WHAT DRUG ARE YOU TAKING?

Dude, if HSF or Tucci questioned my usage, I’d yield. However, I offered the term eloquent in contrast to those two virtual mutes. Eloquence being a greater capacity than fluency. Radio DJ’s have an eloquence that we as Walmartians only dream of. We are reduced to grunts and monosyllables. Which is why we like El Trump.

Really, have you ever spoken for 2 minutes? 5? Could you speak off the cuff for 15 minutes? Hilly can speak on a variety of topics for an hour or more. Trump can manage a string of invective but nothing concrete. Trump took down Cruz because Cruz has a weak pussy side to him. Hilly has a brass cunt, no way she is going to melt down. Trump is going down on the first round against Hilly the liar.

I have already sent him more than $1000 and intend to send up to the limit for an individual. Why should Trump finance his campaign entirely out of his own funds? Because he is a wealthy man? Did the Kennedy’s? Did LBJ? Did Romney? All of them were wealthy (though Kennedy and LBJ inherited or stole their wealth, unlike Trump). People like Stucky STILL don’t get it. This is no game. Trump is not perfect but he is the only presidential candidate in living memory who has cut through the bull shit. His plans to stop illegal immigration and the entry of more Muslims to this country and that alone is enough reason to vote for him, to say nothing of his rational foreign policy (not picking a fight with Russia every five minutes, getting the hell out of the Middle East, making our “allies” pay their way, putting our national interests first). And, no, I do not fell like a sucker. I feel that I have already gotten a return on my investment by helping destroy the smug, arrogant, corrupt GOP Establishment with my puny contribution. Get your head of the sand (or wherever you have stuck it Stucky) and think about the country for once. As the Village People said about the YMCA, put your pride on the shelf and admit you are wrong on Trump. No, he ain’t the Messiah but he is a whole lot better than ANY alternative, unless, of course, you want that pant suited witch screeching at us for the next eight years!

Trump’s supporters really believe in him just as Ron Paul’s did or Bernie Sander’s do. They will actually be rabid to give their money to someone who they thank can represent their interests and save them. The key will be to look at his average donation amount. Trump’s will likely be around $25 which means the average man is funding him with spare change. Hillary’s will probably be around $4,000 which means plutocrats, think tanks, and corporations will be calling her shots behind the curtain.

“A Fool and his Money is soon parted”

Literal meaning.
Origin

This is quite an early proverb in the English language and, as such, might be thought to contain the wisdom of the ancients. The notion was known by the late 16th century, when it was expressed in rhyme by Thomas Tusser in Five Hundreth Pointes of Good Husbandrie, 1573:

A foole & his money,
be soone at debate:
which after with sorow,
repents him to late.

The precise wording of the expression comes just a little later, in Dr. John Bridges’ Defence of the Government of the Church of England, 1587:

If they pay a penie or two pence more for the reddinesse of them..let them looke to that, a foole and his money is soone parted.

No, Trump is running for the American people. They should pay for his campaign. You jerks will still be moaning out your cynical crap when he stops the Muslim influx, seals the border, brings sanity back to our foreign policy and starts to give this country back to the American people. Just what do you assholes want? Who is your ideal president? A weak, two-faced melting ice cream cone like Rand Paul? Some funny money b.s. artist writing economic papers nobody reads? John Kasich – a homo wimp who imagines he is living back in the 1950’s and wants to “bring us together”? Reagan? He’s dead. Gerald Ford? Bernie? Hilllary? Yeah, Hillary, who nitwits like you may manage to put in the White House. Think I’m a queer, Ed? Care to meet and discuss it? I think not. I love this country, I have served this country in uniform and in the intelligence services. I have watched what the Establishment has done to my people. I am sick of you ignorant nobodies who have never even seen the inside workings of the government and who know nothing of the world outside, sitting around in your shit-stained underwear typing out the loser’s lament every five minutes. We are taking this country back, like it or not, and you will be ashamed of yourself for your blindness and lack of patriotism. I know some things about Trump. No, he isn’t perfect, but he loves this country and he is NOT an insider. Those fuckers hate him. That is enough for me. When we are deporting the illegals and the Muslims, maybe we will throw your useless butts on the truck.
