HARD TIMES & FALSE NARRATIVES

The mainstream media mouthpieces for the establishment peddle false narratives, disingenuous storylines, and outright propaganda to keep the ignorant masses confused, oblivious to reality, misinformed, and passively submissive to the opinions of highly paid “experts” and captured fiscal authorities. The existing social order likes things just as they are.

They reap ill-gotten riches, wield unchecked power, and control the minds of the masses. They are the invisible government consciously manipulating the minds, habits and opinions of the multitudes in order to dominate society, control the levers of government, and accumulate obscene levels of wealth through manipulation of the currency and domination of the banking and corporate interests.

One of the false narratives being flogged by the establishment propaganda peddlers is the mass retirement of Baby Boomers causing the plunge in the employment to population rate from 64.4% in 2000 to 59.7% today. They need to peddle this drivel, because the difference between these two rates amounts to 12 million missing jobs. The employment to population ratio is currently at 1984 levels. Any critical thinking person with basic math skills realizes the government reported unemployment rate of 5% is an Orwellian farce.

Over 40% of working age Americans aren’t working, amounting to 102 million people, and the establishment touts the ludicrous lie of a 5% unemployment rate. With only 123 million Americans employed full-time and virtually all the job “growth” since 2009 in non-producing low paying service jobs in the retail, restaurant, hospitality and healthcare industries, wages and household income remain stagnant. The 12 million shortfall in jobs isn’t due to Boomers retiring, as this chart proves beyond a shadow of a doubt. Only an Ivy League educated economist or CNBC talking head could pretend to be confused.

We know for a fact 10,000 Americans have been turning 65 years old every day for the last few years and will for the next fifteen years. When the employment to population ratio peaked in 2000 at 64.4%, the ratio for senior citizens was only 12%. It had remained between 10% and 12% for over two decades. There were 35 million Americans over 65 years old in 2000, and 31 million of the them were not employed. They made up a large portion (44%) of the 70 million people not in the labor force.

Today there are 48 million Americans over 65 years old, and 39 million of them are not employed. The establishment narrative is blown to smithereens by the FACT they now only account for 41% of the 94 million people not in the labor force. There are only 14 million more employed Americans today than in the year 2000, while there are 5 million more employed Americans over the age of 65. They have accounted for 36% of all the jobs created in the last 16 years. The percentage of senior citizens working is at an all-time high of 18.9% and rising.

The narrative of retiring Baby Boomers being the cause for the plunging participation rate is entirely false. The data is not hidden. It’s easily accessible. Any CNBC pundit, Wall Street Journal reporter, or Ivy League MBA Wall Street analyst with even a smattering of math skills could discern the truth. Based on the fact they continue to flog false narratives, makes you believe their job and intent is to obscure the truth, obfuscate the facts, and paint a rosy picture for their establishment bosses. There are almost 4 million less Americans aged 16 to 55 employed today than there were in 2007. Does that happen in an economic recovery?

Since 2007 the working age population has grown by 21 million, while the number of employed Americans is only 4.6 million higher. Those over 55 years old account for 174% of the employment gain since 2007. Does that sound like a mass boomer retirement story? The best part is the government perpetuating the Big Lie by saying the unemployment rate today is essentially the same as in 2007 at around 5%. You just pretend 15.3 million able bodied working age Americans left the labor force of their own free will and do not want a job. You then create a narrative of Boomer retirement which is beaten like a dead horse by the captured corporate MSM until the ignorant masses believe it.

There is a reason senior citizens are working until they keel over while greeting the creatures of Wal-Mart. The economy has not recovered for the average working jamoke. The Federal Reserve has crushed the finances of senior citizens since 2000. Their reckless monetary policies created two massive bubbles, destroying the net worth of millions of older Americans. Their “Save a Wall Street Banker” solutions to the worldwide financial crisis they created have gutted the savings of seniors. Seniors now have to decide whether to pay the rent or pay for their heart medicine, thanks to those heroes of the status quo – Ben and Janet.

The relentless inflation in food, rent and healthcare created by the Fed and getting 0% on their savings has left millions of seniors destitute and desperate. They aren’t working because they’re bored. They aren’t lugging bags of cow manure in the garden center at Lowes because they love being close to nature. They are working during their retirement years because they don’t like the taste of Fancy Feast. Despite the happy talk by politicians like Obama about the economic recovery, real people living in the real world are living through a Depression.

The stock market soared during the 1930s. GDP rose during the 1930s. But, they still call it the Great Depression. We have been in the midst of a Greater Depression since 2000. The ruling class uses all their powers of media propaganda persuasion, utilization of highly paid “expert” whores, and a myriad of technological bread and circuses to keep the masses dumbed down, sedated, amused and confused. The percentage of 25 to 54 year olds working today is at an all-time low. The percentage of men working today is at an all-time low. These facts are not reported by the dying legacy MSM.

If you feel like you haven’t gotten ahead in the last sixteen  years, you’re right. Real median household income is lower than it was in 2000. The ruling class is confident their public education system has sufficiently dumbed down the populace so they don’t understand the difference between nominal and real. In addition, the powers that be control the definition and calculation of inflation, so the inflation numbers used to define real median household income are entirely false and significantly understated. Using true inflation numbers would reveal household income to be dramatically lower than it was in 2000. It is actually lower than it was in 1971, when Nixon closed the gold window.

The numbers and narrative presented by the establishment simply don’t pass the smell test. If the economy had been recovering for the last seven years, millions of good paying jobs had been created and unemployment is really only 5%, then why have retailers been reporting atrocious sales and plunging profits? Why have corporate profits fallen for four straight quarters? Why is every economic indicator flashing red while the BLS says the employment situation has never been better? Challenger, Grey and Christmas surveys the real world and reports:

Employers have announced a total of 250,061 planned job cuts through the first four months of 2016. That is up 24 percent from the 201,796 job cuts tracked during the same period a year ago. It is the highest January-April total since 2009, when the opening four months of the year saw 695,100 job cuts.

Do you believe corrupt government drones or a private enterprise totaling up real layoff notices from real companies? Consumer debt is at all-time highs as people are depending on their credit cards to survive. Obamacare created premium increases are destroying the finances of families and small businesses across America. Home prices are at all-time highs, shutting most people out of the market and creating such high rental demand that rents are also at all-time highs and rising rapidly. Gas prices are up over 30% since February. Food prices are up 10% since the start of the year. At least senior citizens got a 0% increase in their Social Security benefits this year because there is NO INFLATION.

The chart of despair below reflects the relentless decline in the standard of living for the average American household. The wages of the American worker have fallen or remained stagnant for decades, while the government reports an ever expanding GDP. If GDP is dependent upon consumer expenditures to generate 69% of its total, how could it grow as real household incomes decline?

If you guessed enormous amounts of debt, you win the booby prize. The establishment (Wall Street, mega-corps, politicians, corporate media) convinced the masses to impoverish themselves while trying to live an unattainable lifestyle using credit cards, mortgages, auto loans, and student loan debt. Who benefited from the enslavement of the masses in debt? The debt peddlers, mega-corps, paid off politicians, and media maggots. They need a believable narrative to keep their profits flowing.

The absurdity of government’s economic recovery narrative is revealed as nothing more than a debt financed mirage to allow the .01% ruling class to pillage what remains of the national wealth before initiating another collapse designed to further increase their power and control. When a senior citizen has to borrow to pay the rent, that increases GDP. When your health insurance premiums go up by 25%, that increases GDP. When Obama drones a hospital in the Middle East, that increases GDP. When the government loans a functionally illiterate dolt $20,000 for college and they spend it on Spring Break in Daytona Beach, that increases GDP. The chart below shows the more than 100% increase in government handouts since 2000. What a boon to GDP as the government extracts money from the producers and hands it to the non-producers.

We are living in hard times. The reason tens of millions of Americans are rejecting the establishment and voting for Trump and Sanders is because of economic hardship. Most Americans have been screwed over by the system and are finally getting fed up. They aren’t exactly sure who screwed them, how they were screwed, or how to stop getting screwed, but they are angry. And someone is going to pay.

The status quo is beginning to get nervous. Their usual propaganda, scare tactics and misinformation campaigns don’t seem to be working. Rigging the stock market upward may benefit the .01% temporarily, but the games of financial manipulation have a limit – and we are approaching it. As a society we have relied upon debt, delusion and denial for far too long. We have chosen to be willfully ignorant regarding the truth of our predicament. Entire segments of society live under a blanket of lies and hate anyone revealing the truth. Some have begun to speak the truth and will be hated for doing so. A long hot summer of hate is upon us. And that’s the truth.

Does any reasonable person living in this country believe the Bereau of Lies with regards to unemployment? I challenge any sane/sober person to drive through any large city and tell me the unemployment rate is 5%. It is more like 50% and that may be low. Certainly in places like Detroit there is economic activity downtown, but all those jobs for the most part are suburbanites making the trek into the city, The residents don’t work because there are no more jobs for those without education or a very specific trade/skill. And there never will be jobs for them. I agree with some of these far right sites that say that we are in a great depression only it is masked by electronic debit cards in place of soup lines. I used to have a lot of respect for this country but not anymore, It just gets more disgusting by the day. Out.

Out of 15 employee’s I have 4 in their 60’s without means to stop working, ever. 1 gets 927 in SS, I guess its enough to eat on, but he would have to live under the bridge or not eat. The wanton theft perpetrated against the elderly will only be eclipsed by the utter and total debt servitude enlisted against the millennials. They largely are not even going to be able to get started. As the chickens come home to roost it will get worse.
Never in the history of America has the deck been so stacked against a generation, there will be a price.
I pay the 8 millennials the same wage structure I earned graduating HS in 1990, these are considered good paying jobs. We are in a hot market.

you can tell all the lies you want, but the hard pain of reality will expose them.

We no longer believe anything we don’t see personally. it’s easy to say 5% unemployment, and claim that the hard times are only in your town. Once you travel enough to realize it’s nearly the same everywhere, then the 5% lie is exposed, and you no longer believe it.

ALL the lies are being exposed at once; you are not better off, the unemployment isn’t only in your town, and no one else is expanding / hiring / creating more jobs faster than layoffs; all lies. Why are they lying to us? Who do they think believes their lies?

Create as safe a space for yourself and those you love as you can; survival will not be only of the fittest, but that’s the way to bet. Go AWOL from the FSA and learn how to do everything for yourself, because you’ll have to when the EBT cards fail. Don’t be dependent on government for anything – and don’t believe anything they say.

Math is a great disinfectant for the lies and deflections of the Government and the oligarchs on Wall Streeet. The reason I continue to drop by TBP is that I need gentle reminders every once in a while of what economy is really like. The charts above crush the narrative of MSNBC and all the other Wags whinging on about how great things are for everyone on Main Street. I find it hard to not get caught up sometimes on the debt train that most folks are on where I live. Living paycheck to paycheck collecting shit they don’t need on bi-weekly payment plans doesn’t seem to me to be a good plan moving forward. Anyone with 2 twitching neurons should be able to deduce that reckoning is at hand.

Last weekend my Wife and I were trolling for a RV. I’m 50 years old. Salesmen wanted to put us in deal on 20 thousand dollar note for 78 bucks bi-weekly for get this 20 fucking years. I would be one foot in when I got clear of that purchase. There is no way in hell I would do this but lots of folks are and they deserve the shearing they are going to get.

The Government run schools long ago stopped crafting citizens. What they deem patriotic now are good consumers.

I have decided to for my own good to be not patriotic. Hopefully more can wake up before it is too late.

Well there’s still opportunity in trucking for anyone in decent health. Most of the Millennials I know at FedEx are making a good living. They are not getting rich but are able to afford some nice things plus play back student loans that some have. It’s not a glamorous job but trucking has its rewards.

Nice work Admin but our real struggle is just beginning . Hang in there.

I don’t think this thing can be stopped. Not by Trump. Not by anyone. There’s just too much debt and the entire system is built around it. Someone has to be blamed.

The truth is irrelevant to the powers that be. I suspend reality watching the news, the candidates for the highest office in our land are all one and the same. They will be elected and continue to rearrange the deck chairs on the Titanic. The bureaucracy is so intrenched and so corrupt with crippling edicts put on the citizens, they keep their non productive jobs by destroying productive jobs. Is there any way out? Sure, but is going to be ugly and many will not have a clue with their normalcy bias!

bb – Plenty of jobs in trucking in my area also, but….

In order to get the jobs one has to forfeit their rights to obtain a “commercial drivers license”, or CDL. Government regulated and heaped tall with bullshit that any sane person would never agree to. On demand piss tests, regulated driving hours, inspection checkpoints that will always find something wrong with your rig resulting in additional revenue for the state…
No different these days than being a federal employee, only they don’t have to run the gauntlet of regulation a trucker has to.

Surrender your rights, be a trucker!

Clearly the Fed and the Goobermint have nearly lost all control of the economy. Debt saturation has arrived and any debt based money dies at that point.

The Fed has three main tools to control monetary policy, The discount rate, open market operations, and required reserves. Take a look at these three charts from the Fed and you will see that it has all been an illusion since 2008.

When I think of “mainstream media” I think of a propaganda machine owned and ran by leftist, progressive, Marxist, hooked nosed “chosen people” who have dual citizenship. Our MSM is envied by both China and North Korea. They look up to our MSM in how we indoctrinate our citizens disguising it as “news” or entertainment (TV, movies, etc). Note to America….after the revolution, please don’t let “chosen people” take over your media like they did in this time period.

I hate to break it to ya but America is ruled by a vast majority of people who are simply incapable of reading any of those charts. Nope, not a single one. But their vote counts. They only know what they are told. If they are told that this is all caused by boomers retiring, they will believe it. Facts dont matter, because you have to be able to read even a simple chart in order to discern facts. These charts do not qualify as simple, to them.

It occurred to me after rereading this that we are at a curious point in history–by that I mean the inmates have now taken over the asylum. To boot– Gays are what 1-2% of population yet they have pushed their bathroom agenda and the like to the top of the news. Illegal immigrants are what 10% of population? Yet they are dictating the media agenda with regards to the presidential election and disrupting Trump rallies all cheered on by the mainstream media who is openly promoting their victimhood. In sum, we have what 10-15% of wackos controlling the mainstream media agenda. I say were getting close to a total revolt.

Good piece, jim. Rather than wading through all the numbers trying to convince others that they are being fed a lie, an easier illustration of this fact is done by simply comparing the hours works now vs then. Even with the obamacare mandated 29.5 hours being considered full time – resulting in more part time jobs, there are less hours being worked, total, than in the past.

As I’ve said in the past, burn it down. I just wish it would happen soon, I ain’t gettin’ any younger.

And from this chasm, with ceaseless turmoil seething,
As if this earth in fast thick pants were breathing,
A mighty fountain momently was forced :
Amid whose swift half-intermitted burst
Huge fragments vaulted like rebounding hail,
Or chaffy grain beneath the thresher’s flail :
And ‘mid these dancing rocks at once and ever
It flung up momently the sacred river.
Five miles meandering with a mazy motion
Through wood and dale the sacred river ran,
Then reached the caverns measureless to man,
And sank in tumult to a lifeless ocean :
And ‘mid this tumult Kubla heard from far

The Next Domino to Fall After the Glass-Stegall Act

Look, our friends over at Wall Street were losing their wealth. We (the elite) couldn’t allow that to happen. They needed more dollars to pay their debts because the stupid middle class had lost their jobs, filed bankruptcy, and were not buying anything. What could we do? Well, we decided to print more dollars and give those dollars to them. Then, they could pay off their bonuses and buy more of their own stocks. They keep up their perceived value, and we will all look rich! We will take advantage of the inflated values of Wall St. We will inflate the Wall St values and increase the media stories and programs to the middle class so that they invest more into the inflated values. Then, when we decide it is time, we (the elite) will pull out all of our investments at the same time. This will leave the middle class holding the bag!

Sorry for the change to 1st person, the Great Recession is new and still painful for so many. I felt I needed to lighten up the true horror of financial destruction of the middle class. Hindsight is always—20/20! Now, I’m back to talking for myself instead of as a member of the elite.

Man, I hope this scenario, described above, doesn’t happen! That is why I educate my friends and family about the dangers of owning Wall St rather than any tangible asset.

The next financial issue the elite didn’t see coming was a drop in the GDP! Why? Recently the facade is showing its ugly truth in the financial markets. The charade is up! Remember where we are in the population control and demise of the western middle class theory. Have you figured out “the why”? The reason is greed!

Greed of the wealthy elite is the reason for population control, Marxism, and Communistic theory and agendas. The elite’s greed is why we have lost our family unit. It’s responsible for the attack on our Constitution, the emasculation of our men, the push to increase feminism, and the career woman. The result would be fewer kids born to conservative, Christian parents of the successful middle class. They couldn’t allow the middle class (MC) to multiply their efforts in obtaining generational wealth. They needed to deconstruct the MC western culture, because of the elite’s greed. Plus, to change the MC culture, the end result was to create a two-class system similar to a feudal system of “rulers and serfs”. That is why we have seen such an increase of the wealth of the Top 10% in the USA and a huge drop off of the middle class with an increase of poverty. This is the creation of a feudal system. I am sorry to be the bearer of bad news!

An unforeseen drop in the GDP is a real issue for the wealth of the elite ruling class. So, they need to solve this real issue and quickly! But how? They can’t afford to adjust the plan of ridding the MC, and they can’t make the MC any poorer without causing a revolt. What could be the answer?

If the MC did have the guts to revolt, the elite needed start the attack on our ownership of guns and ammo. Why? Well, because an unarmed population is not a threat to creating a feudal system, unless it is the peasant revolt in the French Revolution. However, I don’t think “pitchforks” would be very successful versus our current military and police state complex.

How Elite Solving the GDP Issue Without Increasing the Conservative Constitution-Minded Middle Class

The answer is immigration reform! What better may to solve the GDP than by bringing in a completely new class of consumer. These new consumers wouldn’t request any new Constitution rights. This new consumer won’t have a problem with loss of those rights, since they never had those rights before in their lives.

These new immigrant citizens will have almost 0 financial education, so they won’t threaten the elite’s wealth and power. Plus, when the Progressive politicians give those second and third rates citizens free stuff: home, welfare, cell phone, et cetera, these new citizens will vote Progressive with no questions or qualms. Never heard that technique work? Look back to 2012 and Obama’s vote-buying with government cell phones. SMH! Wow! It’s surreal.

Looking to the under 30 year old group, they have pushed for more “equality”. Man, we didn’t see that coming. Have you heard of “Occupy Wall St”? Do you remember “1% Rich and 99% Poor” signs? Well, that was a precursor of things to come! I think the Democrats and the Progressives found a way to quench the thirst for equality. They will make everyone the same. Using the techniques of communism, they will place everyone on an even playing surface, that being below the poverty line! That way we will all feel– equal, and there will no longer be any envy, desire, and will to bring a even greater loss of hope. How much equality do we need to have? The next generation has been brain-washed for so long that I feel sorrow for the Millennial generation. They are seeing a real punch to the gut in becoming adults, and they’re demanding the likes of Bernie and equality; they will be surprised. Be careful for what you wish for! With the use of TV, social media, Hollywood stars, and the music industry, these celebrities are all playing for a spot among the elite ruling class. They have been promised their place and the future of greater fortunes. Do your research and you can wonder why Leonardo DiCaprio gets invited to Davos Switzerland for a World Economic Summit!?! Then he comes back from Davos and wins the Best Actor award; during his acceptance speech, he rants about global warming. Does it seems curious or scripted? But the attack on the MC is not over. It has now become an elimination! Stay tuned! Reflect, and ask yourself “Why?”.

In the last four years and over the next six years, our western middle culture is under its final attack. I believe our culture will be eliminated in the next ten years. Since the election of BHO, I have never seen such a movement to unravel our Constitution and our culture. The purposeful unraveling seems so comedic that it seems surreal. Why are there 0 checks and balances in Washington D.C.? Aren’t these checks and balances laid out in the framework of our government? So, it seems beyond me. Unless, all those politicians all are part of the same game? What a real shame. I feel duped and upset with their greed. In history, all of the most powerful empires had a great middle class. However, it seems that the Progressive Movement is now entering the final mode. It is really amazing to see how a liberal person behaves and acts around non-liberals. They get violent, aggressive, unable to communicate, narcissistic, unfounded and lost. It seems that the liberal mind has now become a mental illness. I guess, it’s brain washing? But, back to the matter, the progressive agenda is now becoming a movement. This movement is ready for the final stage– the elimination of the middle class.

Why? Let’s go back to looking at it from the elite’s point of view. The threat of the middle class needs to be eliminated, because having a middle class does not work with our goal of creating a two-class system of rulers and serfs. An educated, financially funded middle class, with a Constitution that was designed against tyranny, needs to be eliminated. Because those powerful MC will not go quietly, they could revolt and over-throw our positions of wealth and power. We need to eliminate the Second Amendment and take away any other parts of the Constitution that the Middle Class could use against us. Then we will create a major event that would destroy their finances, their basic needs, and thus make the Middle Class come running to us with their hands out, like it was back in 1933.

If we, the middle class, would fall to ours knees and beg for help, the elite can then eliminate the middle class. Then, they (the elite) would have an entire population of American serfs. However, this is where I was confused. How can you have 200 million Americans on welfare! How does a Communist state work, financially?

It goes against all sound financial advice and against history. How about the teaching of Ayn Rand, the collapse of USSR, et cetera. Why in the world would a ruling party want a bunch of poor people asking for hand outs? Man, I didn’t get the Progressive agenda! I didn’t, until now.

What do all of those Serfs need? They need food, water, housing, utilities, and Chinese junk. You know, those are merely Serf essentials, and the elite will need to charge taxes on all those items. Still, I don’t think that would be enough wealth to cover all of the welfare handouts, would it? Then I thought, who owns all the factories, resources, water, and power plants that are needed by a large population? And if one group of rulers owned all of those resources and income generators, then those owners would be the only group that could profit from the sale of those products. By owning all of the necessities, charging a profit, controlling taxes, and eliminating all competition (small business owners), a wealthy elite would control national and global economies and populations. This is a grandiose dream of the wealthy elite. For we should remember the “Golden Rule”: he who owns the gold makes the rules!

The Unfortunate Truth

Now all of this could be a nightmare or a conspiracy theory. It will depend on your perspective and what the future will reveal to us. I know many of my friends and family could not or would not digest this foundation writing. So, I quote Plato:

“Those who are able to see beyond the shadows and lies of their culture, will never be understood, let alone believed by the masses.”

After I revealed this foundation theory to a family member, I was asked, “Now what?” There was panic and despair in their voice. I explained that I am going to keep doing what I am doing. I am going to keep raising my children and their children and doing it right. I am going to keep my culture alive, keep my religion in front, prepare for judgment day here on Earth and in Heaven, and prepare to keep my household healthy and happy. Yet, I am going to keep my prospects open to finding a new like-minded community. I am prepared to relocate to my next Redoubt, if needed. I plan on keeping in contact with like-minded people and to get more involved with local politics, and if the local politics change then I am ready to relocate to other areas that are open to conservative, Christian families. I am going to continue obtaining more wealth and making sure that wealth is far from the U.S. dollar hegemony. I will do my best to educate my children to raise more non-liberal children, so that I can help in keeping my Western culture alive. Keep your eyes open, and God speed.

to Rise Up: Survival Blog, which I also read, is a right-wing site that, like all right-wing sites, thinks what’s happening is a liberal conspiracy and possibly an international Jewish plot against Christians. It never occurs to them that Republicans have a greater hand in the destruction by virtue of changing our laws to favor large corporations. Dems are no better, except for social issues.

And it doesn’t occur to people that if giant corporations pay little or no federal income tax, and are given tax breaks by individual states, then the slack in the budgets are taken up by the middle and lower classes. In fact, poorer people end up paying the most.

We really do need a revolution in this country with tens of thousands in the streets. You know, there are giant protests throughout Europe over fiscal austerity (done for the benefit of the banks and hedge funds) and in the Middle East and Africa over corruption, but our corporate media never says a word.

I have a seventy year old women who works behind me.She told me she has to work until she dies. I listen to her groans and complaints.
She made bad choices. I recommend you buy a piece of dirt and build a paid for shack on it,Be out of debt! Plant some weeds that you can eat. Better then the stress of working until you die,Just to pay for a home and a car.
I still think an economic collapse is coming.

My son is home for a week until he takes off for Baltimore for his internship. He read the Fourth Turning this week (I decided it was time for him to read it) and now he spends his days reading sections of it to me that he wants to make sure I really understand.

Kids are such asses.

Rise Up, why don’t you submit parts 1 & 2 of that as a stand alone post? It’s worth the read and may even teach a thing or two to the STM’s.

I’d recommend reading Jeffrey snider’s piece in Friday’s Real Clear Markets for an astonishing look at how government economic is compiled. The real data is generated every 5 years in the economic survey of the American economy. The annual and monthly data is derived from models based on this survey. The last survey was done in 2012 and it was only since last year that this new data set began to be incorporated into Fed models.

While this works to a point, until a fundamental change takes place then data based on an old model gets corrupted. Consider the Olympic high jump. It changed only by fractions of an inch until athletes changed how they jumped then records fell as the flop replaced leaping leg first. Something like this happened as a result of the Great Financial Crisis only in a negative fashion. Debt fueled growth no longer works as before but our economic models still assume it does, We can expect to see massive downward revisions to GDP, employment figures and other measures of economic data come to reflect The New Normal!

“Kids are such asses”.

I woke up in the middle 80 ‘ s and have been trying to get people to think for themselves ever since. They are all asses. Most of the time they call me a worrier who can’t enjoy my life because I’m too afraid of the goobermint and can’t do anything about anything anyway. I try to explain that I’m not worried about myself, but they just assume I’m lieing, and continue sitting on their hands.
