HOW YOU GOT SCREWED

One of our regular commenters – Crimson Avenger – has written a book. The best part is you can download it for free.

How You Got Screwed: The Book – How You Got Screwed

After years of observing the many corrupted systems that affect our lives, I compiled my thoughts into this book – “How You Got Screwed.” If you’d like a copy, just download the book in PDF form by clicking here .

There is no cost for the book, and you’re free to use it and share it as you see fit. I wrote it to help people understand what’s truly happening in this country, and the more people you share it with, and the more ways you think to use it, the happier I’ll be.
If you have any questions or thoughts, I’d love to hear them; just email me at [email protected].

From the very first paragraph —

“When I was younger, maybe 10 or 11, I remember playing a game of Monopoly with a friend. I was doing well, but I was still losing – and that’s when I realized that my friend, who was acting as the bank, was cheating by secretly moving money from the bank over to his own pile.”

THAT WAS ME!!! I cheated at everything …. even Chutes and Ladders with my kids (no fucken way was I gonna go down that loooong slide on square #84!!!!

Weren’t you the one the other day with folks still pissed off after 50 years because you had pushed them down stairs and shoved them out of windows?

Getting screwed is part of the human experience, enjoy yourself and learn from your mistakes. I got screwed just showing up on this planet but unlike Stucky, I always played fair and followed the rules. Since 2008, I now wish I had cheated and looted anything and everything because those are the people that get to be the CEO’s, presidents, senators etc.
On the other hand do I really want to burn in hell for eternity? No

I will pray for your eternal soul every night Stucky. You are the one most learned here of the biblical teachings so could you share where Jeebus preached a message of cheating your fellow man is OK?

HELL IS REAL….BE AFRAID……BE VERY AFRAID.

Hell is real indeed. But as long as you avoid the 30 blocks everything should be okay.

I do wonder why people talk about how righteous and good it is to follow a book on one hand. But then holds a whip of conformity in the other. Why is it that I have to be afraid even though I strive everyday to be good and honest citizen of this world. If the day comes that I have to sit down with God my first and only question will be why was it required that I submit and use my years on earth subservient to a being in the ether.

Thanks for the positive words. I wrote this because I wanted a safe entry point for people new to the issues we all think about every day. I stayed away from controversial stuff – no red/blue issues, etc – and tried to keep the language pretty calm and neutral, despite the title.

And Stucky, I thought you sounded familiar – if we ever play Monopoly again I get to be the bank.

Every monopoly game ends with less friends.

When I was a young girl on the farm with nothing better to do, I would play marathon games of Monopoly with my sister. We would leave the board out for days, coming back to the game to try to “finish” it. But, in reality, playing monopoly with only two players is a boring ass game, even if you live on a farm and it is the dead of winter with nothing else available.

However, I did learn how to lift more than my share of five hundred dollar bills from the bank when no one was looking.

When I go to church, I often will get the most out of the children’s sermon because of the simplicity.

This is an awesome read, CA. So far, I am enjoying it. It is simple, but very straightforward and directly to the point. Your opening “monopoly line” was a great analogy and it captures the reader right from the start. I also really liked the college & student loan segments on pages 35 -38.

I plan on e-mailing it to my kids soon. I hope it goes viral for you.

As a side note, my wife and I attended a wedding on Saturday, and at the reception, as fate would have it, I sat across from a young gal who I later discovered to be my human polar opposite:

She was a 20 year old millennial, majoring in women’s studies at a public university and working in a government social services office this summer. She wants to move to Chicago because of the “diversity”, supports black lives matter, is a lesbian, and told me she has more college debt than she ever hopes to pay back.

One can only hope your book will find her too.

” … could you share where Jeebus preached a message of cheating your fellow man is OK?” ———- Bea Lever

Sure! No problem-o!

==================

Jesus told his disciples: “There was a rich man whose manager was accused of wasting his possessions. So he called him in and asked him, ‘What is this I hear about you? Give an account of your management, because you cannot be manager any longer.’

“The manager said to himself, ‘What shall I do now? My master is taking away my job. I’m not strong enough to dig, and I’m ashamed to beg— I know what I’ll do so that, when I lose my job here, people will welcome me into their houses.’

“So he called in each one of his master’s debtors. He asked the first, ‘How much do you owe my master?’

“‘Nine hundred gallons[a] of olive oil,’ he replied.

“The manager told him, ‘Take your bill, sit down quickly, and make it four hundred and fifty.’

“Then he asked the second, ‘And how much do you owe?’

“‘A thousand bushels[b] of wheat,’ he replied.

“He told him, ‘Take your bill and make it eight hundred.’

“The master commended the dishonest manager because he had acted shrewdly. For the people of this world are more shrewd in dealing with their own kind than are the people of the light. I tell you, use worldly wealth to gain friends for yourselves, so that when it is gone, you will be welcomed into eternal dwellings.”

Good story, but can you imagine someone walking around trying to teach in parables being interviewed by one of the harridans on television?

Stucky, I will make an appointment with the IRS to sit down and write out how I only owe half of the amount, what are my chances the evil bastards will embrace me for being shrewd?
Good try, no cigar.

Thanks, Gator (and everyone else). This was a labor of love.

I look with envy at people like Jim Quinn, Karl Denninger, and Greg Hunter for having the commitment and the guts to dedicate so much of themselves to informing people and spreading the word. This is what I felt I could do right now, for the same reason and in the same spirit they do what they do. I hope it helps some people see the light and join us; the more people who know what’s going on, the better off we’ll all be.

May I also recommend “The Age of Deception” by James Davidson…however, you will have to purchase it or borrow from a library. It’s a cold look at the current state of affairs in the US and different from yours, he hammers Obama.

Excellent, easy and quick read! Nice job CA! I’ll definitely share this with some people I know including some in the UK, France and Spain. I’d love to share it with many more but unfortunately I doubt they have the mental horsepower or attention span to benefit from it. Sadly the collapse will be their only wake call and they’ll have no idea what it’s about even if they live through it.

A few things caught my attention that although they did not detract from your effort, you might want to correct for a wider audience. Not sure if you can since it’s been published already but here goes:

The contents are labled A,B,C etc yet the book sections are Roman Numerals.
The “Point” in Part IV does not have a pink box around it.
Page 40, near the bottom between “businesses” and “control” the word “to” is not needed.
When you mention the ironically named Patriot Act you should take a moment to point out the govt deception in naming things that are supposedly for our benefit. Affordable Care Act is another.

These are not criticisms by any means, just my meager attempt to help you with the final polish strokes on a diamond.

This should be mandatory reading for every graduating high school student and every incoming and outgoing college student!

One thing that struck me, and I had to do the math on, was the SNAP benefit numbers. $74 Billion spent on 45 million people in 2015 works out to $1644 per person. Unreal! And they get to piss it away on Phast Phood, lobster, soda, candy and all manner of shit with no nutrition.

I nominate your effort for inclusion in admins TBP favorites list.

CA

I will download and read starting tonight. Right now got to work to pay the bills. Maybe it is time to get serious on my writing as well. I appreciate the effort to put yourself out there. This world will change by convincing one person at a time that the truth however scary it is to accept is still much better then the matrix of illusion we currently live in.

Cheers
