TARGET TAKES IT UP THE A$$

Looks like the SJW CEO of Target is rethinking his dumbass transgender bathroom bullshit. What a shocker. He announces how forward thinking Target is by opening all bathrooms to anyone who self identifies as another gender. Nothing like allowing mental defectives into ladies rooms to make normal people stop shopping at your stores.

When their asshole CEO announced his “progressive” policy in April, their stock was trading at $84 per share. After today’s plunge of 6%, it’s trading at $71. Comp store sales fell 1.1%, their worst quarter since 2014. Profit plunged by $73 million – a 10% drop. So, this SJW aficionado has managed to wipe out billions in shareholder value and driven customers away from the store. But at least mentally defective transgenders are happy.

Keep pissing off normal people to please these freaks, and this is what you’ll get.

Target to spend $20 million on private bathrooms after customer revolt

North Carolina was the first state to enact legislation requiring transgender people to use the bathroom of the gender on their birth certificate

Target Corp. said it will spend $20 million to add a private bathroom to each of its stores by next year, following customer protests over its policy allowing transgender individuals to use whichever restroom corresponds with their gender identity.

Most of Target’s TGT, -6.07%  1,797 locations already have single-occupancy or unisex restrooms, but it will add the option to 277 stores by November and to about 20 remaining stores by March 2017, the company said Wednesday.

Target’s finance chief Cathy Smith said the move is a response to feedback from customers voicing displeasure over the company’s bathroom policy. She added the customer discontent hadn’t had a “material impact” on sales. CEO Brian Cornell had promised to roll out family restrooms earlier this year and defended the company’s stance on diversity.

Protests started at Target stores after the retailer announced in April that it welcomed transgender employees and guests to use the restroom or fitting room that corresponded with their gender identity. “Everyone deserves to feel they belong,” the company wrote on its website.

The company made the announcement after North Carolina became one of the first states to enact legislation requiring transgender people to use the public bathroom corresponding to the gender on their birth certificate. In its wake, several businesses promised to withdraw investment in the state. The National Basketball Association relocated its All-Star game from Charlotte in protest.

Ha! These leftist freak of nature boycotts never work. They fizzle out because there just aren´t that many fanatic kooks out there. Good for the Tarheels! Nobody wants some hulking mentally ill pervert following their wives and daughters into the toilet. As for the crackpot CEO, why in hell does he still have a job?

“Ha! These leftist freak of nature boycotts never work.”

Not only that, they typically have the opposite effect. Just look at chick fil a, when the SJW crowd announced their boycott, the rest of society did the opposite, and broke records on sales. Their boycotts drive people to the locations because regular America is sick of their shit. My wife was determined to go eat at chick fil a on the day that nonsense was announced, but we ended up having to eat somewhere else instead because it was too full inside for us to sit and the drive thru line was wrapped around the building and out into the street.

Yup. Started eating at chik fil a when the boycott started. And stopped shopping at target when they went full tranny retard.

Yeah, we all know a 73 million dollar drop in profits couldn’t possibly have a “material impact” on sales, only educated folks know the real reason for the additional bathrooms in over 200 Target stores.

Around here all the Hastings stores just went out of business. Gone! I’m still waiting for Kmart to implode. Our local Kmart probably has fewer than 100 cars per day in a parking lot that holds 300-400+. You could literally build a small city park in the unused parking spaces they have. Even during the holidays the place is a ghost town. The funny part is that it’s in area that contains Costco, Wally World, Lowes, Home Depot, Big 5 and half a dozen other popular places plus loads of phast phood joints and iHop.

I spent $3-400 per month at Target. Had one of their ‘red cards’. Then they did this. I signed the petition ( it had about 700,000 signatures at the time) to boycott Target over their freaks in the dressing and bathrooms policy. Target must wonder what happened to me since the only thing I have bought there were two prescriptions a doctor sent to Target, unaware I had moved my Rx’s to the Grocery pharmacy.

It’s a shame really because I liked Target. It was close by and, around here at least, the customers were not as repulsive as those at a Walmart plus it had most everything I would need. No matter, if Target prefers transvestites and voyeurs over me they can do without my business.

Same here. We used to do about 90% of our grocery shopping there. We’ve moved the business to WalMart and other grocery stores.

Similar here. I never loved Target but it was in the regular shopping rotation. The credit card hack and their pathetically bad response made me hesitant to shop there, and I often paid cash, but I still would. After all their leftist crap the past year – not just trannie bathrooms but other things, like a vindictive and unmerited attack on someone who stopped an assault at a Target – I almost boycott them. Almost because there are two items they sell that no one else in town has, and occasionally I will go buy them. But I buy those, checkout and leave.

Target is one of several Minnesota Twin Cities-based businesses that seemed great 20+ years ago, but has blasted off both feet with a shotgun and is trying to kill itself painfully. I imagine this is a symptom of Twin Cities SJW disease killing off the previously capable businesspeople there.

While I also abhor Target’s recent social policies, my college son works there when on extended Christmas break and during the summer, which has eased my wallet since it’s given him his own spending money when he goes back to school. And when he graduates next spring, he may need to keep working there until he gets a ‘real’ job in his field of study (Computer Information Systems).

I lurk here a lot but am a bit reluctant to comment, you people can be brutal (but very funny).

Our youngest son graduated this previous May with a degree in Computer Information Systems and has been looking for a computer-related job these past few months. He gets maybe 1 interview per month and they always find someone with more experience. The market is over saturated with unemployed Americans.

Our oldest will graduate this coming May with a Computer Science degree. His friend graduated last year with the same degree and could only get a job at Walmart.

Despite what everyone hears about computer degrees, the only way to actually get a computer related job is to have 20 years of experience before being laid off, and then start over in an entry level job, or have a H1-B visa. From what I’ve been told, Obamacare rules don’t apply to foreign workers, so they are much cheaper to hire.

TRUE

Most here are older, so we are not as stupid as the general public and we are pissed off at what has happened to our country.
Citizens United – politicians are legally bought off by corporations. CONgress (Establishment Dem and Rep) gets on their knees to the corporations and lets them offshore jobs to the Turd World.
Good luck with your sons – corps are not making capital investments, only stock buybacks (equate to no new jobs).

Lisa, what city is your son looking for computer work? There are lots of IT jobs here in Northern Virginia (Verizon, Google, Amazon, Sprint, ad nausea um). It’s called the “Dulles Corridor” since most of the high-tech companies are on the highway leading to Dulles Airport.

We are in Colorado. They talk up the job market but it’s not as good as it sounds. My husband’s employer was looking for a mid-level computer person (some years of experience required) and they were getting PhD’s applying for a job that really wasn’t that high paying of a gig. The tech companies aren’t hiring Americans, even if they say they are, but they are laying them off (see Cisco Systems today).

I have a question though, did/do you think your children’s choice of degrees was prudent in our current environment? Did they incur debt to obtain them?

Lisa

My husband has a computer degree and did well with his, and they wanted to be like their Dad. Unfortunately, times have changed. We did discuss other degrees but it was hard to change their minds. We also didn’t realize when they started that it would be this difficult to land a job now. And our kids are not very mechanical, with things like cars or plumbing, that’s the kind of things their Mom (me) fixes. We talk to them about learning auto repair or plumbing or becoming an electrician, but we know they probably wouldn’t be very good at it. Although, a person can learn anything with the right motivation.

Neither have any debt. They lived at home and worked while going to the local community college and university. They paid what they could and we made up the difference.

Thanks for the reply. Perhaps your kids can parlay their degrees into something to do with the coming onslaught of robotics?

I tend to think that unless you have a real interest in mechanical skills, they are best taught/learned during childhood. My father was very mechanically inclined due to his childhood and out of necessity and my brothers and I were glued to his hip growing up so we learned by osmosis.

Good on you for getting kids educated without debt!

I’m in Minneapolis, the home (homo) of Target. To me they are ‘shit stores’ – shit from China. The oldest person working at these stores is usually about 25 – they don’t know shit. They have stinky Somali check out clerks. Anything that’s queer – they are on the forefront.

The shopping center with Costco, BLowes, and a myriad of fastfood stores is booming.

Target sells groceries? Huh. Never been in one. Probably never will.

I’m guessing that the CEO was betting that he would be getting a more favorable response from the SJW community and their ilk for having such a ‘progressive’ pisser policy. Epic backfire. Serves him right for being such a dumbass. Time for a new plan, maybe buy a moral compass he can refer to next time he considers putting his companies business in jeopardy trying to facilitate the community of degenerates.

Contrary to what millions of idiots claim, most of the gay and queer community doesn’t actually have much disposable income. And the small proportion that do are spending it on much nicer stuff than Target carries. The CEO tried an idiotic leftist/SJW “virtue signaling” tactic and it blew up in his face. He deserves to be canned with no severance, much less a golden parachute.

Catching up on TBP while staring out my office window at Target Corp’s Ivory Tower. They are the biggest employer in downtown Minneapolis. Which, with their tendency to hire attractive 20-something co-eds isn’t a bad thing when I’m enjoying my lunch break. Hasn’t been too good for their corporate bottom line hiring a cacophony of company yes-men & women, all towing the bullshit corporate lines. Once a year they hold a pep rally of sorts bringing in all their managers to join in the cult chants. Yes, hard to not notice them where I sit.

As for their stores, meh, just another big box selling junk made in China. While Target welcomes the freaks to their restrooms they tend to avoid the aisles at Target and go to Wal-Mart instead. I don’t really shop either shit-hole store. None of the “chains” (and I include Amazon in there) are what I’d call Good for America. They can all go die in a fire.

BTW – their CEO is playing by the shopworn rule book of selling off everything you can to raise the stock price. Target Canada – gone! Target Pharmacy – sold to CVS! Pretty much just a box selling trinkets now.
