America Reborn

By Francis Marion

“We, as a nation, must confront what we have become. We must confront the mistakes we made … and take a hard look at where we have deviated from the guiding principles upon which this nation was founded. I think those principles were good and life affirming. If this nation is to heal, we need to take a good hard look in the mirror of reality…. Only then can we have a future worth living.” Homer – The Burning Platform

Fall and winter in the Pacific North West are dark and wet. As I take my daily jog along the river and dike behind our neighbourhood I am reminded of exactly what that means. The smell of rotting salmon that have made their way from the Pacific upstream to the rivers and creeks of the Cascades is accompanied by a chorus of squawking gulls. These things, the lack of light, the smell of decaying fish and the cacophony of squabbling birds serve to remind me that life and death are intertwined in an endless cycle of give and take.

This cycle or balance is the foundation of our existence in this world. The new is built upon the old and is nourished to become the old itself which in turn nourishes the new once more. Death compliments life which becomes death so that life may continue.

Indeed, the primary mistake that the left has made, a mistake which has nearly destroyed our civilization, is that it denies these cycles in our day to day lives. It believes it can take short cuts, that this cycle can be ignored and that it can deny the other natural relationships that nature or God has built for us based on this fundamental truth. It is now, at this time and in this point in our history that the struggle between what is true and what is false will become more important than ever before. The direction we take, starting today, will determine what kind of world our posterity will inherit.

In my previous essays on the recent election of Donald Trump to the office of the presidency I suggested that although the immediate battle has been won, the greater conflict for freedom and truth still rages.

From the halls of political power and academia to the taverns, blogs and homes of western civilization the broader conflict marches on. The election of Donald Trump has been a turning point in our history and while it is not to be taken lightly we would be unwise to consider this chapter in our story closed.

Decades of corruption, both on a political and cultural level have taken their toll on our nations and this is not something that can be easily or quickly undone. There will be no short cuts. There will be anger, pain and suffering on both economic and social levels and the hardest part will simply be keeping the peace on both a communal and personal plane.

Thus, now more than ever it is important for us to know our enemy both from within and without. There are millions of good people who fall on either side of the false political paradigm and narrative that we have been fed who are deserving of both our patience and humility. How we treat them will not only reflect on who we are but on who we will become.

Indeed, who we become as a people will depend largely on who we decide we will be as individuals. Will we square our corners or will we settle for more of the same thing repackaged as something new?

Many of the civilizations of our past addressed this journey through the pursuit of truth and harmony. But this is not a journey that can be approached easily or without introspection. The process of healing our civilization begins with the cleansing and balancing of ourselves and the acknowledgment of the true nature of the world around us and our place within it.

The picture below was recently posted to one of my pieces and it is a reminder of things that have been lost.

joanraven

With the exception of the text that is added it is a reminder that there is strength and beauty in femininity. Homer, of The Burning Platform reminds us:

“It is not a mistake that America is represented as feminine. I wouldn’t think of America any other way. The Statue of Liberty embodies hope and freedom recognized the world around. A feminine symbol. There is unbelievable power in femininity. Women need to understand that.” – Homer – The Burning Platform

The restoration of simple, elemental truths is one of the biggest battles we will fight. Feminism, which has actually been a marxist assault on femininity has been a contributing factor in the destruction of male/female relationships and the family itself. The destruction of femininity and thus male/female relationships has either emasculated men or turned them into emotionally stunted animals that view women as nothing more than toys to be played with and discarded. If we are to restore civilization then the relationship between the feminine and the masculine as well as the family and the broader clan structure must be rebuilt. It is the basis for everything we do as a people. This means rejecting marxist teachings not only in political and economic fields but socially as well. To survive this turning which we are now embroiled in the truth must be told and the light must be shone into the dark and twisted corners of neocultural marxist thinking and action.

Our natural rolls must once more be acknowledged and a balance must be struck. One of my favourite movie quotes sums up the relationship between the masculine and the feminine perfectly:

“All men with honor are kings…. But not all kings have honor. Women have the heart of honor. And we cherish and protect it in them. You must never mistreat a woman, or a lame man. Or stand by and see another do so.” Robert Roy MacGregor

This is the strength of the feminine that Homer speaks of. It has the power to temper the masculine and to create harmony. But in order to do so we must restore to it its natural place in our society. Thus embracing femininity alone is not enough. Masculinity must also be reborn, redefined and refined. We must restore alpha to our society and temper it with judgement and mercy.

k1800441

For strength, leadership and rebirth.

The men of our civilization must decide who they will become. Will they remain emasculated by the neomarxist political and academic oligarchy or will they arise and become something else? Will they continue to act as greedy, unempathetic animals who view women as toys? Or will they step forward and take their place next to the feminine and complete the loop?

Plutarch wrote that before battle Spartan women would tell their sons and husbands to “come home with their shields or on them”. Although it is hard to know if this was true, and although Spartan society was corrupted and eventually died it denotes a relationship between the masculine and feminine that is right and natural.

Each man among you has the power to decide who he will be. We can choose to be one in a mindless horde or we can become something better. If we choose wisely, if we endure, if we live as examples and if each man is responsible for his own torch then there is hope. This is the choice this turning has given us. Let us choose wisely.

A new ‘blog bard’ has emerged on TBP, Francis Marion. His reasoned arguments and exhortations sound as clarion calls and soothing balms in such times of ugliness and divisiveness as we have just experienced …. if only we heed them. And pay heed to them we must, if we are to survive and flourish as a nation united.

You are writing some nice stuff, FM.

Now, on to Maggie’s bright ideas. The article makes me think of this 4T as an opportunity to rebuild and restore the very best of all those honorable things that made ours a nation founded on the principle of Liberty for the individual in order to build a strong national republic.

Why NOT insist Trump promote a Constitutional Convention where the offensive document can be “updated” in a way that eliminates the 3/5 clause and the chattel inferences. When I was on the gubmint gravy train, I saw many times a new policy was imposed upon an unwilling workforce. They morphed the “new” policy into the “old” policy by paying lip service to management and doing their jobs they way they always had done them. In UNION speak, that is “past practice” and in a CBA, any past practice not directly addressed by management is implied to be accepted by management. * So, if we have a race problem in this country and we have a founding document that implies that race is 3/5 of a white person to any idiot not willing to do a bit of research, then revise it to not read like that anymore. There is a time and a place to rewrite documents… it is NOT Orwellian. If those elitist bastards on Jekyll Island orchestrated a Banking Coup of our country in 1913 and a limp-dicked Congress let them get away with it, handing them the country via the Federal Reserve’s management of the country’s currency, then REVISE the financial structure of the country and place some limitations on the bastards.
1. Term Limits for EVERYBODY. Executive, Congressional, Supreme Court AND the Deep State element that rules the Military-Industrial Complex – The Cabinet BUREAUCRACY. Supreme Court Justice appointments for no more than 10 years. That way, if some disgusting Clintonian administration comes into power in this country and has a team that does nothing but dig up dirt on other people to cover for perverted behavior in the Oval Office, then we won’t have to worry about why a justice might vote for some piece of shit legislation that is obviously unconstitional. We will make it clear enough for a libtard to not misunderstand. We will define “is” to the citizenry.

* Example: when I sat on a CBA negotiation as union steward for IAM, the company executives were a little more than annoyed that the “term” business casual did not include men wearing a tie.

Revise the foundation of the country. Constitutional Convention 2020! Make it your second term platform. C’mon!!!

IT IS NOT THE BUCKING FIBLE!!! (That will be the campaign slogan to get the necessary number of states to sign on. I think it is 35, but am not sure.)

Oh, and Admin? I still have this lovely oil painting of “Phoenix Rising from TBP”…

Maggie the Convention is a good idea.

As for the painting. I’m not much of an art critic but well that masterpiece is sooo fugly that it would scare away a crow that is starving to death. I have a suggestion. How about licencing as Limited Edition print and hang it on Border Wall that Trump wants to build. An added layer of security where the wall is just a fence. Nobody is going to want to climb over that masterpiece.

Man or woman…

No to a Constitutional Convention! It could become an uncontrollable situation where the basic tenets of our Republic might be forever changed, and not for the better.

Can term limits be enacted short of a CC? Does an amendment to the Constitution require a convention?

A Constitutional amendment does NOT require a CC…it requires the legislatures of 3/4 of the States to ratify it.

Article 5 of the Constitution provides for the amendment of the Constitution by various means (see The Amendments Page for details). However an amendment is proposed, it does not become part of the Constitution unless it is ratified by three-quarters of the states (either the legislatures thereof, or in amendment conventions).

A Constitutional Convention is what we do NOT need. You could wind up with whatever the globalist, new age, neo con, perverts can dream up. That prospect is entirely too unpredictable. I agree with the author of the story. We as men and or women need to get back to what God has always intended us to be. Not what msm says you ought to be. Learn to think for yourself and draw your own conclusions and stand by them. To do that you have to have a foundation of who you are and what you believe. Where do we find a guide for such a search? The Bible is the best place to start and finish.

Francis Marion, the fact that I feel comfortable talking to myself in your prose thread is my way of paying tribute. LOL. I have decided to expand upon my silly comment above… I think a Constitutional (DONstitutional?) Convention could go a long way toward fixing some things.

I’m thinking that voting age thing needs to be 30. And that income tax business needs to be re-visited, as well as the whole social security mess. And definitely the state legislatures need to appoint Senators again. It is the only way the regions have any say at all… duh. Look at that Red/Blue county map, you MORONS.

And I know that Congress shall make NO LAW seems clear, but our politicos are stupider than most. We shall have to define “no” to the corrupt greedy idiots too.

A Constitutional convention would solve all our current Constitutional problems.

Get rid of that damned old piece of paper with all its flaws and let the Sorros driven Leftists replace it with something less obstructive to human rights.

That’s basically what was cone by the Continental Congress when the original Confederation of States proved difficult, an entirely new government.

In fact, there is already one already in the wings and waiting for the Convention to get it in place: http://www.sweetliberty.org/issues/concon/newstates.htm

I believe that each state could and should choose delegates that would represent the regional and national interests at the convention. In the same way that the Clintonian Era ushered in by Bush senior’s betrayal of Reagan’s principles, the Trumpian Age could be renewed by true conservative libertarian principles.

I admit there is danger.

GREAT IDEA Maggie. What part of the constitution shall we tackle first? 2nd amendment? Maybe the 1st? Opening up the 19th might get some traction. Be careful what you wish for. We have a process for amending the constitution. It’s supposed to be hard, but the repugs only need to lock down four more statehouses and they would have free reign, without dimocrat interference. Is that good?

Bullshit. If kids are old enough to die for this country then they are old enough to vote.

Want kids to vote better, then we need to do a better job of raising them.

You can’t have sound education without having a sound economy. The Don has a PLAN that MIGHT work….but if he really wants to cut corporate taxes by that much then he will need to make cuts. Same with income tax and death tax.

I’d like to see him START with cuts overseas, and hopefully his cuts to Obamacare will help as well.

Beware, Maggie. A Constitutional Convention might not go your way.

The original writers shared a strong cultural bond and similar values, and still had a heck of a time writing a governing document. Just imagine the babble of voices that would try to alter the Constitution if given the chance now. The amendment process is the only way to go if we are to protect our fundamental freedoms.

Francis Marion , well written but I believe you miss point. All of which we talk as once being the excellent is based in and on a Christian perspective or world view that has been lost. Most in the West no longer have Christian presuppositions about the world or how society should be structured starting with the family. This has been a planned assault on our society by people who have as Marx told his followers to do ” capture the organs of propaganda”.

Maybe start with having people attend school board meetings…taxes pay for them; time to start demanding your money be well spent.
This will also mean demanding that the school boards stop having secret meetings or meetings at times when nobody can truly attend them (ps. they do, or they have meetings so unpublicized nobody knows about them — that’s usually where they do their “best” work).
A lot could be accomplished just by doing that and not taking “no” for an answer. It would be a hard slog, but nothing worthwhile really is easy.

I boycott actors, directors, corporations, that are anti-american or full of lies or propaganda like climate change. Buy dvds of mostly wholesome entertainment like Little House on the Prairie and the like. Also create wholesome entertainment and post it on youtube or write a book and sell it on Amazon kindle.
Another alternative are free college courses like those offered at MIT, instead of just being entertained, learn something useful like a new language or new skill like programming, etc.

They were taught Darwinian theories in school, which imply that we are constantly moving upward in an evolutionary straight line. No straight lines in a circle, though. That’s one of the reasons why the Trump win hurt them so much. There is no such thing as going backward; only forward. Their decade-long unbridled success (can we say small sample size?) became their self-fulfilling prophecy. Until it all came crashing down. “Now what?”

I shared it with my 12 hillbilly friends. I am not completely sold on the idea of a convention to revise and clarify, but I think it has merit.

1. EDUCATES a nation/world on what a Constitution really does for a country and how strongly it relies upon the rule of law and the idea that everyone is equal before the law.
2. Eliminates the language that gives the do-gooder-wanna-be libtards an excuse to pander to victim groups.
3. Clarify that “no quartering of soldiers in homes” is NOT obsolete because it means no taking of personal property for government use you morons who just gave up your land for the Swampland Protection Act a couple decades ago. Clarify the other first ten Amendments and debate the validity of the rest.

I have to admit you and others are probably right.

I was discussing the idea with my husband and another reasonable person and they convinced me that there really are NOT enough rational actors on the scene. People are driven to act by something other than logic, which can be seen in a multitude of ways. And many times, I find the most emotionally fragile are also the most angry, which feeds the irrational decision-making. To me, which almost suggests we may be to the mob rule point.

Francis, I really do not mean to clutter comment chains here (I THINK Admin understands that I am almost thinking out loud instead of just rambling or he would have blocked my IP address long ago), but when someone’s composition and word choice triggers an idea (remember when trigger was just a freaking WORD?) I find that discussing it with my alter ego “Maggie” sometimes helps me decide if it is worthwhile.

My brainstorming over a DONstitutional Convention was killed by reality.

The male persona in our society has been trashed in nearly every possible venue possible . If your are modest to extremely wealthy or super handsome and liberal well ok ! Otherwise men are typically depicted as some intellectual half wit whose wife , 9 year old daughter or the gay couple next door will constantly keep him from harming himself or others from his miss deeds while setting the garage on fire while fixing the lawnmower !

Most of our heavy industry is flatlining and we have not trained people to do the mechanics trade in mass for decades , sure it can be done BUT it will require all hands on deck and if you little snowflakes cannot handle the fucking shit we as Americans will be forced to toss your sorry ass over the side . I’m also looking VERY forward to getting all of the Muslims and gays OUT of the White House — it’s not just the ideologies I can’t stand, it’s the very sight of them.
(Oh how very un-PC that is…)
And it’ll be grand to see a beautiful, intelligent AMERICAN family residing at the White House. A rather normal family with some traditional American viewpoints. The Trump kids are a good looking bunch. And then there’s drop-dead gorgeous Melania….
I’m really glad that I’ll get to watch the new Presidential family take up residency in the White House. A return to some semblance of normalcy after 8 VERY painful years of anti-white racism, divisiveness, and hatred. Those feelings get returned and are not easily forgotten. But good-riddance to the Obama tribe. I won’t miss a single one of them. In fact, I’ve always had difficulty looking at The Mooch with her bulldog underbite and masculine physique. And my sentiments are shared by others, in fact, a recent FBook post was titled, “Michelle Obama “Ape in Heels” Facebook Post Draws Outrage” — but the intolerant left had such a hissy that it was removed and now the poster may lose her job ( https://saboteur365.wordpress.com/2016/11/15/michelle-obama-ape-in-heels-facebook-post-draws-outrage/ ) Yeah, that leftist tolerance nonsense was just-that.

I’m still not ready to pop the cork and imbibe the victory drink.

I noticed some of those things too, and since my background is in the arts (and thus culture and symbolism)…there are other ways to interpret the old hag’s clothes (which are a pretty odd sartorial choice). Purple and black have symbolic meanings to a lot of cultures, and within the occult (especially the really dark stuff within the occult). It’s not fun reading through their stuff to find out about it, but the woman is known to like to dabble in such things. You can’t go off of reality in such cases; you just have to consider that folks who are into that stuff really do believe in it — it’s real for them — and adjust accordingly.
Taken all together I’d probably say to be on guard: the nasty old witch isn’t done yet and may be up something particularly vile. Probably not a good idea to take an eye off her and her crew.
This is probably as good a reason as any to not want a CC anytime in the near future.
