What kind of message does this send? http://nypost.com/2016/11/22/trump-wont-pursue-charges-against-clinton/

President-elect Donald Trump won’t subject Hillary Clinton to a criminal inquiry — instead, he’ll help her heal, his spokeswoman said Tuesday.

“I think when the president-elect who’s also the head of your party … tells you before he’s even inaugurated he doesn’t wish to pursue these charges, it sends a very strong message, tone and content, to the members,” Kellyanne Conway told the hosts of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” who first reported that the president-elect would not pursue his campaign pledge to “lock up” Clinton, his Democratic opponent.

“Look, I think, he’s thinking of many different things as he prepares to become the president of the United States, and things that sound like the campaign are not among them,” Conway, who is now on the Trump transition team, said in her interview.

She continued: “I think Hillary Clinton still has to face the fact that a majority of Americans don’t find her to be honest or trustworthy, but if Donald Trump can help her heal, then perhaps that’s a good thing.”

At the second presidential debate in October, Trump sounded a much harsher tone.

“If I win, I am going to instruct my attorney general to get a special prosecutor to look into your situation because there has never been so many lies, so much deception,” he vowed.

There will be enough violence in the streets without encouraging it by going after Hillary.

I imagine it is a waste of time and effort that could be better be spent elsewhere with her health making it unlikely she’d survive what would turn out to be a lengthy process.

We need to start working on reuniting our nation, not intensifying the divisions Obama has left us suffering.

Either that or start rounding up and deporting the Democrats.

“Look, I think, he’s thinking of many different things as he prepares to become the president of the United States, and things that sound like the campaign are not among them,”

Let me fix that for you Kellyanne…

“Look, I think, he’s thinking of many different things as he prepares to become the president of the United States, and things that appear to be treason against the American people are not among them”.

I hope this story is untrue. If he doesn’t pursue an honest investigation against her and everyone involved then I will have to appreciate the anti trump protestors because if he doesn’t have to uphold the rule of law then neither should they.

What kind of message does it send? It sends a message that Obama needn’t bother sullying his reputation (such as it is) by pardoning Clinton for what the Dems insisted weren’t even crimes. He’s lulling his opposition into complacency. Do you think he meant it when he said Obama’s a “good man”? (Hint: he didn’t.). Everybody keeps taking Trump literally, but not seriously. Once he’s sworn in, he’ll let the investigations into Clinton continue. Whatever warrants prosecution will be prosecuted. He may commute her sentence, but she’ll have been adequately humiliated.

He will regret not driving a stake through this vampires heart. She will retreat to her earthbox and will come at him for revenge big time in2019/20. How about pardons for those in prison and whose military careers were destroyed when they had their clearances lifted? What about Bowe Bergdahl will he be honorably released? If he caves on this how will he stand against Chuck Shumer who has already let it be known rhat he will torpedo the AG and SCOTUS nominations now rhat Mush McConnel has ruled out the Nuclear option?8

“Once he’s sworn in, he’ll let the investigations into Clinton continue. Whatever warrants prosecution will be prosecuted.”

That is my take too. He won’t need a special prosecutor as a ‘reformed Justice Department’ will act on the ongoing investigations.

Suzanna

Trump has removed himself from the accusations of a vendetta.
Regardless HC’s innumerable “crimes” it isn’t the job of the president
to personally conduct an investigation. That would be absurd.
Please let us NOT cling to this piece as proof Trump is a “betrayer.”
Let it prove that after the provocations, Trump can cool-off and be a
dignified human being.
Perhaps we have allegations being investigated? Principally the Clinton
Library, Charitable Organization, Foundation is at risk. I am in favor of
liquidating the thing, and dividing up the $ to …fill in the blank.
Last, he he he, Kuru may be the basis for HC’s degenerative brain disorder.
Don’t count this out. Or count it out if such evils don’t compute for you.

A hearty amen to what Stucky posted! If nothing else, Mr. Trump’s decision strongly signals the intention that a culture of responsible adulthood prevail in his administration—itself a highly welcome distinction from recent practice.

On a somewhat related note, does anyone know if the beneficiary of a pardon issued by say, the POTUS, must formally acknowledge or accept such pardon in order for that pardon to go into affect? One answer to the foregoing could offer a suggestion as to a possible follow-on action the pres. may take to seize the “moral high ground”, once and for all.

Old Guy

This is a lose/lose situation for Trump. If he goes after her he looks vindictive and her child cult followers scream louder. If he doesn’t go after her his supporters accuse him of backing up and eating cheese. I’ve been a Trump fan since day one. I’m also a realist. I can live with this decision.

Worse, if he goes after her and she dies from her health problems he will be blamed for her death and give the left a martyr to rally round.

Never give your enemy a martyr to rally them to action, just concentrate on winning the war.

As I stated in a comment a week or two ago, I didn’t expect Trump to go after Hillary and that there is still an FBI investigation into the Clinton Foundation (the real important inquiry).

There is much more important work for Trump now, and in his first 6 months.

I suspect Barky told him that the paid protests, the media and the D’s in Congress would all be a royal pain in the nuts for Trump at every turn if he didn’t give her (and Barky) a pass.

That said, I sure hope that 6 months into office his AG says “there’s some new evidence and we must convict!”

I believe strongly that Hillary being prosecuted would be in the best interest of America.
It would expose the Clintons and others for what they are, for all to see, and to some degree send the rats back to the shadows.

But that should be the job of the FBI, DOJ and others, not the President. Now I would be tremendously disappointed if Trump came out and said he would block any further investigation of the Clitons, but to my knowledge he hasn’t said that yet.

Mr. Flipflop says one thing to get elected and then another afterwards. I got deleted here on Burning Plaform for calling him two-faced after he was calling the Wall Street hag a criminal and accusing her of ruining the cuntry, and 48 hours later, just after he was elected, was praising her hard work done for USA. Anon- Do yourself a favor and read the story on Drudge today about Jared Kushner from the Forbes article about him as the power broker who put Trump in the presidency. Jared was the one who had Chris Christie and his people thrown out the door after the “transition” began as Christie was the guy who sent Kushner’s father to prison for tax evasion, election fraud etc. Forbes called it right that Kushner will be a very powerful power broker for a least the next 4 years from his Trump family owned building at the famous ” 666 Fifth Avenue” address.

“Once again the animals were conscious of a vague uneasiness. Never to have any dealings with human beings, never to engage in trade, never to make use of money–had not these been among the earliest resolutions passed at that first triumphant Meeting after Jones was expelled? All the animals remembered passing such resolutions: or at least they thought that they remembered it. The four young pigs who had protested when Napoleon abolished the Meetings raised their voices timidly, but they were promptly silenced by a tremendous growling from the dogs. Then, as usual, the sheep broke into “Four legs good, two legs bad!” and the momentary awkwardness was smoothed over.”

Unforgotten

I can’t express my level of disappointment when I heard this. My first inclination was that Trump lied about his pledge to appoint a special prosecutor and that he was just pandering like any other politician.

But, at the same time, it probably is a politically astute move. He may have more to gain by not prosecuting Hillary and he may be using it as leverage in the halls of power. Moreover, he may truly consider her to be irrelevant now and not worth either the time or effort.

Also – given all of the pizza gate headlines of late, it may be true that the rabbit hole goes too deep. Or, in other words, the corruption is so widespread that truly draining the swamp would end the nation Trump hopes to make great again. This means he has to set priorities and go about things with a scalpel in lieu of a hatchet.

I also like HSF’s perspective above about this latest announcement as being a “word game”.

In any event, I will withhold my judgement for now and give Trump the benefit of the doubt for the time being. It’s hard not to be pissed, though. Personally, I believe it’s best to completely kill ALL of your enemies, even when they are down. This way they won’t live to fight another day. I also hunger for true justice. But that’s just me.

So – I’ll keep watching. And waiting. And, in the meantime, I am gratified to know my hatred will keep me warm as winter comes.

Trump should stay out of it and let the wheels of justice grind on. If she would be found guilty, then he can consider a pardon. This way we have a chance of finding out if the Justice Dept. , the FBI or the President were involved in stifling an an investigation so that their candidate could be elected President, a very serious charge. If you want to stop this kind of crap in the future, you need to start holding these people accountable. This, “She suffered enough” defense is a slap in the face to every American who is not sheltered by it if they have to face justice.
If Obama decides to pardon her, then he and the Clintons will have had a stake driven through their hearts politically. That would do in Michelle in the future. Everyone is sick of those at the top getting off scot free. If the election was about anything it was about bringing people in high places to heel.

b it’s too late for that now: Mr. Flip-flop said he would appoint a special prosecutor (BEFORE THE ELECTION). Letting the wheels of justice grind on is like saying letting the swamp continue. Pathetic.

It seems to me that many here cannot distinguish between BULLSHIT campaign rhetoric and political realities.

Some realities;

— Trump has nothing to gain, and everything to lose by going after her

— Trump will have HIS HANDS FULL dealing with America’s problems … and possibly a 4th Turning scenario. Hillcunt is an anthill comparatively speaking.

— Hillcunt will be dead or in a nursing home within the next decade. If dead, Satan will be shoving razor sharp pineapples up her ass for eternity.

— Donald is smart and cunning. Who knows what he REALLY has up his sleeve once he’s POTUS! Give him time ….

EL Coyote

Stuck, either your mendacity knows no bounds or you really are one with the political rubes that bought into Trump’s snow job. You guys are going to get lubed on day one. His political promises will fall like dominoes.

He can’t touch Hillary. You don’t touch a made man or woman without permission. The chuckle-heads that chanted for her head at the Trump rallies hypnotized themselves into believing that if you chant long and hard enough, Trump will deliver a miracle. They put their faith in a billionaire far removed from them. Take a look at his family and his friends. Do they resemble these hillbillies supporting Trump? Can you honestly say he is a man of the people? He is a puppet master pulling everybody’s strings.

He had the nerve to summon the media for a dressing down. He reminds me of that other crazy guy, Don Quixote who lived by the rules from a far off past when the rich called the shots and the unwashed obeyed. Well, it isn’t 1955 anymore and the niggers and spics are not called boys to their face. The kikes are not keeping the books and the broads are not spreading the love.

Already, the media are preparing to come after him like a pack of feral chihuahuas. They hounded Nixon, they will tear Trump to shreds. The Trump tards will soon realize that he is as fake as his Beavis and Butthead sons though, still, Ivanka is a nice piece of ass.

But on to more important news: the once future president – Kanye – is really feeling the effects of Hillary’s loss. He has tried to man up and accept the Trump, even claimed that he would have voted for him. The cognitive dissonance, if he can be credited with cognitive ability, snapped his delicate hold on reality. Now the poor dude is free associating at his own concerts like he was at Mrs. Freud’s safety zone. What a shame, he had all the qualifications of a modern presidential candidate; megalomania, delusion, self-importance and tremendous self-love. I’m sure he would have won in 2024.
