Breitbart News previously reported that a Mapleton, Georgia, gun store owner fatally shot one of two armed suspects who entered his store on December 26 and ordered him to the floor.
The store is Dixie Gun and Pawn and the store owner’s name is Jimmy Groover.
Action News 5 reports that Groover was wearing a handgun on his hip when the suspects entered the store. Once under threat, he drew his gun and shot, hitting one of the suspects and killing him on the spot.
Surveillance video of the incident has now been released and published by LiveLeak. In it you can clearly see one of two suspects pointing a gun at a store employee and then in Groover’s direction. The next thing you see is Groover shooting and killing one suspect, then shooting at the second as well.

The second suspect was able to escape and neither Groover nor his employee were harmed.
Groover said his store has been robbed numerous times during the three decades that his family has owned it, but this was the first time that people allegedly tried to rob it during business hours.
Groover faces no charges for killing the suspect in self-defense.

Saw this vid when I woke up Monday evening for work. Made me smile then….still brings a smile now. Probably watched 1 or 2 dozen times now. Too bad it was only 1/2 of a happy ending.
If you study the video the negro looks quickly to his left just before being shot giving Groover time to square up and go for center mass. Best to be 100% in the moment if you pull a gun on someone.

Here is an important point that most people will miss. — There is only a split second between the time the store owner fires his gun and hits the robber and to the time the robber fires his gun. In that split second the bullet hitting the robber throws off his aim and his bullet (the robbers) hits the display case and shatters the glass. Let me be clear on my point and that is IF the store owner hadn’t fired when he did the robbers aim would not have been thrown off and the store owner would have been hit. The store owner had only a split second to save his life.
So now go ahead and tell me no one needs a gun when all you need to do is call 911.
I don’t wish to take away from any of your important points. However, I did read a detailed account of the gunfight, and apparently it was Mr. Groover that shot the display case; firing at the robber as he fell to the ground.
Looked that way to me when I watched it also. Nigga never got a shot off.

I’m well aware of the report that it was the store owner that shot the display case but I don’t believe everything that is reported just because it’s the written in a report. When I saw the video it didn’t look that way to me. I studied that video by slowing it down and watching it over and over many times and I can assure you the bad guy got off a shot within about ¼ of a second after the store owner shot and it was the robber that shot out the glass of the display case.
Go ahead run the video a .25 speed and play it from the :22 second mark to :24 second and you will see that the store owner got off his shot about half way into the :23 second mark and you will see the blast gases of the robbers gun about ¾ way through the 23 second mark and immediately the glass is shattered. It was the robber that shot out the glass of the display case there is no doubt what so ever if you study the video to the lever that I did.
You’re going by what some reporter said, I going by what I see in the video. I have a tendency to study videos in detail and I have no doubt about what I’m saying.
Ok here’s more information for you that is absolute proof of what I’m saying.
The glass panel that is the horizontal top of the display and the vertical glass panel that is the front of the display were shot out at different times. The top panel was shot out first within the second half of the 23 second mark and the front panel was shot out later about 1/3 way into the 24 second mark. Both the gun of the robber and the gun of the store owner were above the plane of the top glass panel at the time that panel was shot out. The only one that could shoot out the top panel without hitting the front panel would be the robber. At the exactly beginning of the 24 second mark the top panes is collapsing into the display case and the front panel is still intact. About 1/3 of the way into the 24 second mark the store owner fires the shot the hits the front glass panel. From the angle the store owner was firing from it is not possible for him to have hit the top glass panel without hitting the front panel at the same time. Only shooting from the position of the robber could that possibly happen. The shot that took out the top panel without hitting the front panel had to have come from the gun of the robber.
Another feelgood. A highway officer investigating a rollover in Tonopah, Arizona was shot and fought with by an unknown assailant. A good samaritan stopped and told the assailant to stop. The assailant wouldn’t,so the samaritan went back to his car, got a gun and killed the assailant.
