Trump’s Inaugural Speech

Below is the speech in full.  Trump wrote the speech himself.

Within 30 seconds of it ending, CuNNt already had an opinion;  the speech was dark, pessimistic, and the most “radical” inaugural speech ever. They said he lied …. because unemployment is under 5% and crime is at a 20 year low. The country is in great shape, and Trump is a downer. Really.  Cocksuckers, every one of them. May they all die a horrible death, soon.

So, how about your thoughts and observations?

====================================== =

Chief Justice Roberts, President Carter, President Clinton, President Bush, President Obama, fellow Americans and people of the world, thank you.

We, the citizens of America, are now joined in a great national effort to rebuild our country and restore its promise for all of our people.

Together, we will determine the course of America and the world for many, many years to come. We will face challenges, we will confront hardships, but we will get the job done.

Every four years, we gather on these steps to carry out the orderly and peaceful transfer of power, and we are grateful to President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama for their gracious aid throughout this transition. They have been magnificent. Thank you.

Today’s ceremony, however, has very special meaning because today, we are not merely transferring power from one administration to another or from one party to another, but we are transferring power from Washington, D.C. and giving it back to you, the people.

For too long, a small group in our nation’s capital has reaped the rewards of government while the people have borne the cost. Washington flourished, but the people did not share in its wealth. Politicians prospered, but the jobs left and the factories closed. The establishment protected itself, but not the citizens of our country. Their victories have not been your victories. Their triumphs have not been your triumphs. And while they celebrated in our nation’s capital, there was little to celebrate for struggling families all across our land.

That all changes starting right here and right now because this moment is your moment, it belongs to you.

It belongs to everyone gathered here today and everyone watching all across America. This is your day. This is your celebration. And this, the United States of America, is your country.

What truly matters is not which party controls our government, but whether our government is controlled by the people.

January 20th, 2017 will be remembered as the day the people became the rulers of this nation again.

The forgotten men and women of our country will be forgotten no longer.

Everyone is listening to you now. You came by the tens of millions to become part of a historic movement, the likes of which the world has never seen before.

At the center of this movement is a crucial conviction, that a nation exists to serve its citizens. Americans want great schools for their children, safe neighborhoods for their families, and good jobs for themselves. These are just and reasonable demands of righteous people and a righteous public.

But for too many of our citizens, a different reality exists: mothers and children trapped in poverty in our inner cities; rusted out factories scattered like tombstones across the landscape of our nation; an education system flush with cash, but which leaves our young and beautiful students deprived of all knowledge; and the crime and the gangs and the drugs that have stolen too many lives and robbed our country of so much unrealized potential.

This American carnage stops right here and stops right now.

We are one nation and their pain is our pain. Their dreams are our dreams. And their success will be our success. We share one heart, one home, and one glorious destiny. The oath of office I take today is an oath of allegiance to all Americans.

For many decades, we’ve enriched foreign industry at the expense of American industry; subsidized the armies of other countries, while allowing for the very sad depletion of our military. We’ve defended other nations’ borders while refusing to defend our own.

And spent trillions and trillions of dollars overseas while America’s infrastructure has fallen into disrepair and decay. We’ve made other countries rich, while the wealth, strength and confidence of our country has dissipated over the horizon.

One by one, the factories shuttered and left our shores, with not even a thought about the millions and millions of American workers that were left behind. The wealth of our middle class has been ripped from their homes and then redistributed all across the world.

But that is the past. And now, we are looking only to the future.

We assembled here today are issuing a new decree to be heard in every city, in every foreign capital, and in every hall of power. From this day forward, a new vision will govern our land. From this day forward, it’s going to be only America first, America first.

Every decision on trade, on taxes, on immigration, on foreign affairs will be made to benefit American workers and American families. We must protect our borders from the ravages of other countries making our products, stealing our companies and destroying our jobs.

Protection will lead to great prosperity and strength. I will fight for you with every breath in my body and I will never ever let you down.

America will start winning again, winning like never before.

We will bring back our jobs. We will bring back our borders. We will bring back our wealth. And we will bring back our dreams.

We will build new roads and highways and bridges and airports and tunnels and railways all across our wonderful nation. We will get our people off of welfare and back to work, rebuilding our country with American hands and American labor.

We will follow two simple rules; buy American and hire American.

We will seek friendship and goodwill with the nations of the world, but we do so with the understanding that it is the right of all nations to put their own interests first. We do not seek to impose our way of life on anyone, but rather to let it shine as an example. We will shine for everyone to follow.

We will reinforce old alliances and form new ones and unite the civilized world against radical Islamic terrorism, which we will eradicate from the face of the Earth.

At the bedrock of our politics will be a total allegiance to the United States of America, and through our loyalty to our country, we will rediscover our loyalty to each other. When you open your heart to patriotism, there is no room for prejudice.

The bible tells us how good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity. We must speak our minds openly, debate our disagreements honestly, but always pursue solidarity. When America is united, America is totally unstoppable.

There should be no fear. We are protected and we will always be protected. We will be protected by the great men and women of our military and law enforcement. And most importantly, we will be protected by God.

Finally, we must think big and dream even bigger. In America, we understand that a nation is only living as long as it is striving. We will no longer accept politicians who are all talk and no action, constantly complaining, but never doing anything about it.

The time for empty talk is over. Now arrives the hour of action.

Do not allow anyone to tell you that it cannot be done. No challenge can match the heart and fight and spirit of America. We will not fail. Our country will thrive and prosper again.

We stand at the birth of a new millennium, ready to unlock the mysteries of space, to free the earth from the miseries of disease, and to harness the energies, industries and technologies of tomorrow. A new national pride will stir ourselves, lift our sights and heal our divisions.

It’s time to remember that old wisdom our soldiers will never forget, that whether we are black or brown or white, we all bleed the same red blood of patriots.

We all enjoy the same glorious freedoms and we all salute the same great American flag.

And whether a child is born in the urban sprawl of Detroit or the wind-swept plains of Nebraska, they look up at the same night sky, they will their heart with the same dreams, and they are infused with the breath of life by the same almighty creator.

So to all Americans in every city near and far, small and large, from mountain to mountain, from ocean to ocean, hear these words. You will never be ignored again.

Your voice, your hopes, and your dreams will define our American destiny. And your courage and goodness and love will forever guide us along the way.

Together, we will make America strong again. We will make America wealthy again. We will make America proud again. We will make America safe again. And yes, together we will make America great again.

Thank you. God bless you. And God bless America.

I never, ever cared about listening to any speech by anyone, especially politicians. Trump is different. He is awesome.
Notice Schumer looking down at his written speech every 5 seconds.
Notice Trump never looked down.

Trump IS going to stick it up the Establishment ass. I just hope the citizens appreciate it (mean, rotten humans will never change their thinking).

Niiiiice! cheerleading speech for a world in need of a new view of the way the world can be run. I haven’t bothered with any live speeches since 1960 when we watched it live in the classroom.

He will still be overseeing the bankruptcy settlement of a country out of control since August 1971. There will be winners and losers. As an old pensioner I expect that small support to go away and I don’t have a problem with that, not sure the rest of my generation is ready to deal with the consequences of a life time of choices based on lies and deliberate social engineering by a ruling class that has kept themselves concealed. But once revealed those powers that shouldn’t be will have no more power than the Wizard of Oz.

As long as there is a field of “fair” competition I am willing to do what is necessary. After decades of walking Diogenes’s dog it is pleasant to think that a man of integrity may have been found.

Yes, and it must be that common core math that makes it impossible for all the social segments that Democrats like so much to realize they all fit in the category of “Americans” when Trump says he is working for “all” Americans. But somehow his work to fix the economy will not benefit them. Oh, I see. They might actually have to get a job! Now I get it. No more freebies! Bye bye Endowment for the Arts, and such.

Great speech except for the part about our depleted military (which is in fact bloated) and this:

“we are grateful to President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama for their gracious aid throughout this transition. They have been magnificent.”

No, they have been the same destructive, divisive douchebags they were for the past 8 years. (Yes, I know he may well just be taking the high road here).

I love how he used that platform to call out the Washington politicians (sic) for what they are – traitorous whores. Finally, I want nothing more than anyone on welfare or that has unpaid student loan debt sent immediately into the fields to pick produce now that we are gonna send the illegals home. What a fantastic speech Trump delivered today. I loved his anti-globalist tack, his America first policy, his promise to eradicate radical Islamic terrorism, and his desire for America not to seek to impose its will on other nations. As I mentioned on another thread, Trump’s speeches are a refreshing change from the chastising, finger-wagging, often condescending speeches we were forced to endure from his predecessor.

That said, only time will tell if Trump will be able to live up to his stated plans for America. I pray that he will, as much as is possible. I can only hope that the part of me that says to proceed with caution, because, at times, there was a tint of P.T. Barnum to his words today, is just the part of me that is not 100% emotionally invested, much like a divorced man entering a new relationship with a vibrant and well-spoken lady.

May he live up to his words and usher in a new, and much better era in America than the one we have been force-fed for the last eight years. Knock ’em for a loop, D.J.!

The part Trump is playing requires him to be nationalistic. I would argue it will be a “faux nationalistic” movement designed to justify the economic side of what his handlers have planned to do. For instance, take this article that discusses Sec. of Treasury appointee Mnunchin’s plan to use an economic term I had never heard before “dynamic scoring”

here is some of the analysis from the article:
“We do believe in dynamic scoring and with the appropriate growth,” said Steve Mnuchin, the nominee for Treasury secretary. “I think we want to make sure that tax reform doesn’t increase the deficit.”

Those two sentences actually contradict each other because “dynamic scoring” is just a fancy way of justifying massive increases in the national debt — increases that would result from Trump’s plan to spend $500 billion on infrastructure development while carrying out dramatic tax cuts.

According to an analysis from the Tax Policy Center, that tax plan would exacerbate income inequality and deprive the government of much-needed cash for operations:

“His proposal would cut taxes at all income levels, although the largest benefits, in dollar and percentage terms, would go to the highest-income households. The plan would reduce federal revenues by $9.5 trillion over its first decade before accounting for added interest costs or considering macroeconomic feedback effects. The plan would improve incentives to work, save, and invest. However, unless it is accompanied by very large spending cuts, it could increase the national debt by nearly 80 percent of gross domestic product by 2036, offsetting some or all of the incentive effects of the tax cuts.”

“deprive the government of much-needed cash for operations:” Plato, that is a feature, not a bug. Depriving government of cash is translated to: You, Me and everyone else that EARNS a living gets to keep more of THEIR OWN MONEY. Income inequality is a direct result of delusion of our money by the fed and its crony bankers. When I hear anyone talk about depriving the government of money, that is a great thing.
I am luke warm on Mnuchin to say the least, as he is a Goldmanite, and I am not a fan of someone that made money off of others misfortune (Foreclosure), however, I have to trust that Trump has a purpose in mind, and I don’t see Trump as the type of guy that will just let one of his underlings go off agenda. Trump stated many times in his speeches, that he wants to hire the best. We may not like where they came from, or their personalities, but they would be selected for their effectiveness and ability. About Mnuchin, you need an insider to know how to tear it down. To understand how the financial establishment thinks, then get in and slowly turn it around. You go in balls to the wall and you get massive resistance. Trump is playing chess, not checkers. Make no mistake, he’s a worthy adversary and that is why the deep state fears his Presidency. They wanted Clinton because she was easily shaped and molded into whatever they wanted her to do…

I think Trump is playing checkers and playing checkers while Kissinger and Big Z are playing chess with the President of the U.S. acting as a King piece!
Kissinger is one of the biggest globalist shills still breathing!

Just look at this article to show how deep the ties between Kissinger and Trump go
“A nice touch is that Kissinger, alongside “T Rex” Tillerson and Dr Zbig himself, is on the board of trustees of Washington think tank the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS). It’s all in the family.”

I can see how this speech could be viewed as dark. By those who have an inkling that the dead wood that Trump is coming for might be them.

I watched the swearing in muted and actually turned the sound up to listen to his speech — mostly from curiosity rather than a vain hope anything will change for the better in this country or world.

I was saddened that every time he said something that really resonated with me, he was flashing the 666 sign with his hand yet again. Since he took care to only show one hand at a time I can’t say for certain he didn’t also cross his fingers behind his back just in case, as well…

When he talked about eliminating terrorism, I wondered why W didn’t come running over for a high five. Same old wine in a new bottle, kids.

He does a great populist. I nurse this secret fantasy that he really means 1/100 of what he has said and will get the last laugh on those who think they will pull his strings. As a man of some maturity I know the world just doesn’t work that way — ever. The cabinet picks show the hidden hand hasn’t been chopped off – maybe it just strategically is changing pockets to hide in.

I did perceive he couldn’t deny his son – or else that kid’s the best juvenile character actor ever. I can’t accept as a father and grandfather myself that any man would stand before the world — and his own son — and bullshit his honor away. So we shall see. My wife keeps a log and I have been wrong several times in my life, so who knows.

In body language and hand gesture studies…a hand flat and palm up emphasizes giving or bestowing…..a finger upraised is for the listener to take note….a jabbing or wagging finger is to drive a point home….the common pinch hand position ( not a 666) is for the listener to take note and emphasizes the importance of understanding an important point the speaker is making…
Some people just can’t be happy or embrace hope.

Well that’s a cogent argument.

If I ever decide to look to the damned GOVERNMENT for a smidge of happiness or hope to embrace, then God help me…

Even an infantile purist such as yourself has the capability to realize that Trump needed to make deals to put himself in the presidency. It’s been his mantra his entire adult life — he even wrote a book about it, “The Art of the Deal,” you should try reading it sometime.

We won’t really know all of the sacrifices made until well after his presidency is over and the history books are being written. But some are already blatantly obvious.

Reince Preibus – As RNC chairman he held the power to deny Trump the nomination or ruin the convention. It’s obvious he was promised Chief of Staff in return for forcing the establishment Republicans to accept Trump’s nomination.

Munchkin – As a Goldman Sachs insider he was needed to placate Wall Street/Fed Reserve from pulling the plug on the economy and neutering the Trump presidency before it started.

Kushner – Needed to give him a slot to prevent dissent within the family that the media would seize upon.

Rick Perry – Globalist toolbag that satisfies the NWO crowd, who love him. Trump has him babysitting with noocular weapons which, let’s be honest, we haven’t used since 1945 and probably will never use again.

Nikki Haley – Satisfies the minority requirement and gets her out of South Carolina where she was doing a lot of harm. Stuck her in the useless UN slot which Trump will probably just make a mockery of.

In return for playing ball Trump was actually able to put some of his own picks in key positions, like Mattis and John Kelly.

Trump is walking a tightrope and he has to satisfy the masses who elected him as well as the entrenched insiders whose entire lives are based on bleeding the government apparatus dry. It’s a tenuous position — a king has more to fear from a rebellion of the nobles than from the peasantry. As time goes by, especially if he gets a second term, Trump will gain power and will be able to weed more and more of these people out. Until then, he has to play the game.

Remember, Ron Paul was a purist who refused to compromise his darling beliefs. Now he sells freeze dried foods on AM radio while Trump sits in the Oval Office.

The only way we as Americans will even remotely experience any positive results is if we demand it from local governments , state governments , and federal including the congress and the Supreme Court ! No more go along to get along and bi-partisan that’s a political geek squak for something evil & stupid ! When we start telling elected reps NO FUCK OFF and stop accepting mediocre foolishness thought up by a band of well educated assholes that sit around with 1 thumb up their ass and the other in their mouth switching back an forth convinced “THEY” know what’s best for us , it’s time to drain the swamp and club to death any that try to stop it ! President Trump has called us out to saddle up tool up and stop accepting can’t , too hard instead We Can and we will because it’s hard ! We must be careful though a great president once called for the nonsense to stop and the deep state killed him and made a fortune afterwards while bankrupting the country , that would be Kennedy and the final victims would be us our children and beyond . The only way to MAKE AMERICA GREAT is for us to demand it and thankfully we have a president that will ask just a little more from us by demanding better !

As some of you know, I started out as a Bernie supporter, but with the Wikileaks revelations, and Bernie’s response, I quickly saw this for what it was and threw my support to Trump.
I found his speech inspirational. While I don’t 100% agree with his agenda, I’m sure looking forward to the wall here in Socal.

The wall and a round up is desperately needed , no country in the world can you sneak over the border and set up camp but here people like the Obamas and others on the left have no issue with them because the presence of people living here illegally has no effect on them and local politicians on the left view them has moronic future voters . We have been invaded and it must stop !

From Australia – How lucky is America. You got rid of no hope and loose change who, by every metric was a failure and then you turn the World around and vote in a rank outsider who was give a snowballs chance in Hell of defeating a press favored Satanic Bitch. After reading that speech Donald Trump is about to give a whole bunch of bare knuckles to anyone who stands in the way of Americas success.
May he live long and see his visions come to fruition.
Damn I might even come back over and get by balls jiggled by a blue gloved cotton picker, just to see Americans smile again.

The world is screwed. There are tens of millions – literally – of US citizens who have been convinced that Trump is evil incarnate. Nothing will change that. They will scream, claw, fight, riot non-stop. They are denizens of the east and west coast, and a few inland pockets. They have no understanding of the Constitution, and believe it entirely appropriate to lie, cheat, and use violence against anyone who believes differently than they do.

There is simply no reasoning with them, and they cannot be converted to sanity. And their numbers grow daily. The country’s institutions are dominated by them – schools, universities, and government service. They have zero compunction of indoctrinating children and the young into their midst.

These idiots are happy to grow deficits, import terrorists and cultures antithetical to that of the US. They want open borders and to eliminate the entire concept of sovereignty and nation.

Trump faces this intractable opposition. He faces $20 trillion in fed debt, and perhaps $200 trillion in unfunded liabilities. He faces a rapidly changing economy where his plans to bring back jobs clash with the reality of technology obliterating jobs at an accelerating pace. He faces a hundred and fifty million folks dependent on welfare, and intractable racial issues.

He cannot win. No one can.

The sane portion of the US needs to withdraw and allow the pockets of insanity to rot away. I see no other possible solutions.

May God bless us one and all. We are going to need it.

Random musings-
Thomas Pain would have never wore a mask at a protest.

The inaugural protest seemed produced, all of the networks had per-scripted coverage long in preparation.

As for reasons to attend the Woman March, …I have heard nothing but platitudes. One woman had the guts to say “reproductive rights”, which I assume translates to “abortion rights”, but she did not have the guts to say that.
One woman indicated she was marching so her daughter could have the same rights as her son. I felt bad for her confusion, as it is demonstrable her son will have to outperform her daughter to be afforded the same opportunities.

None will touch the “grab them by the pussy” justification, clearly a motivation for marching. I wonder if the lines of women lined up to get grabbed by the pussy give them pause. Or I wonder if the multi-billion dollar industry catering to the objectification of the pussy, supported fervently by those marching, registers subliminally as problematic.

Perhaps they are offended by Trumps heterosexual proclivities.

The transgender community is rightly protesting, as their prospects of forcing the rest of us to view thier mental disorder as normative is kaput, for now.
I cannot wait for Common Sense II.

AMERICA FIRST – why is this a bad thing for the President of the United States of America to say, think, and use as policy? Isn’t the POTUS Constitutionally obligated to serve America’s people?

A beautiful and uplifting speech for certain , but my gut tells me the pain has only just begun.
“We are one nation and their pain is our pain.”

Memo to Trump: Diversity is not a strength.

We are two nations, maybe more.

Normally a new president has someone backing him up, someone publicly behind him. Mr. Obama had the mainstream media—the big broadcast networks, big newspapers, activists and intellectuals, pundits and columnists of the left—the whole shebang. He had a unified, passionate party. Mr. Trump in comparison has almost nothing. The mainstream legacy media oppose him, even hate him, and will not let up. The columnists, thinkers and magazines of the right were mostly NeverTrump; some came reluctantly to support him. His party is split or splitting. The new president has gradations of sympathy, respect or support from exactly one cable news channel, and some websites.

He really has no one but those who voted for him.

Do they understand what a lift daily governance is going to be, and how long the odds are, with so much arrayed against him, and them?

After consideration, the inaugural speech was more of a hybrid, to include State of the Union.
It was if he had a flamethrower, and sprayed inferno liquid magma on all of the perpetrators surrounding him.
I have never seen anything like it, again, Trump delivered.
Orange and red are appropriate colors for President Trump.
