Internal Secession and the Road to Ruin: Two Countries

Trump did not cause the deep division in the country. It caused him. There are two very different Americas. I suspect  that the half of the country that voted for Trump, that voted with wild enthusiasm, that roared at huge rallies, was not so  much voting for Trump as against the other America. It was just that they had never had a chance before. The two countries have little in common and do not belong on the same geography.

Whether Trump proves to be the catastrophic buffoon he apparently aspires to be, the current protests illuminate a stark difference between his supporters and Hillary’s. The chasm is far deeper than  just politics, embracing  culture, taste, manners and morals. The groups are distinct and incompatible .

The difference begins with manners. Throughout the campaign Trump’s partisans forgathered in huge rallies, applauded, calmly went home, and later voted.  At the same time we saw on Clinton’s behalf mobs of ill-bred, worse mannered, loutish, perennial adolescents blocking  highways, shutting down rallies, engaging in vandalism and physically attacking supporters of Trump. Cars were destroyed, fires set, ATMs smashed. Black Lives Matter, always ghetto predators, were worst, but low-grade college students and their equally dismal professors joined in. They were obscene, infantile.

And naive: They apparently believe that they harm Trump though of course their behavior drives people in the other direction. I am no fan of Donald , but I look the foregoing and think Anything else.

The desire to shock of the eternally pubescent. Smirk, smirk, look at me, smirk, smirk.

We saw Ashley Judd, apparently an actress, addressing the “Women’s March.”

“I am not as nasty as racism, fraud, conflict of interest, homophobia, sexual assault, transphobia, white supremacy, misogyny, ignorance, white privilege. I’m not as nasty as using little girls like Pokemon before their bodies have even developed. I am not as nasty as your own daughter being your favorite sex symbol, like your wet dreams infused with your own genes.”

The astonishing thing is not that some foul-mouthed twit came up with such cloacal gush, but that the “Women’s March” sponsored her, did not eject or even censure her.

Can you imagine any of Trump’s middle-American supporters accusing Obama of lusting for incest with his daughters?  The two camps are different peoples. Half of the country seems culturally dominated from the ghetto. The other half embodies standards of behavior that have usually been thought congruent with civil society. While Trump himself is crass, making menstrual jibes on the air at Megyn Kelly for example, his supporters are not.

Any number of arguments can be adduced against Trump but so much of the outpouring of hostility, even from the intelligent, lacks thought. Thisaphobe, thataphobe, Nazi, misogynist. Putin’s Bitch.  Most seem not to know what the words mean, or care.

Wild thought: We may be seeing Darwinian regression. The intellectual nanoparticles waving placards, the sobbing talking headesses  may represent the return of the procaryote IQ. They give us a living paleontological record of what life looked like before it evolved. Think “Cambrian Implosion.” I imagine Rachel Maddow with twelve body segments and compound eyes.

Different peoples. I would like to see a comparative poll: How many women who voted for Trump would allow themselves to be associated with Ms. Judd’s remarks? None, I suspect. How many women voting for Trump would parade around in “pussy hats”? How many fathers voting for Trump would allow their daughters, have raised their daughters, to behave as the “Women’s Marchers”? Their children to copy Black Lives Matter?

Different civilizations. Virtually no overlap.

The media are decidedly of the Clinton America. In Washington at least some journalists donned pussy hats and jointed the demonstrators. Trashy behavior has seeped into many in the professional classes. Trump  recently sued a journalist and the London Daily Mail for describing Melania as “a high-end escort”–i.e., a take-out call girl, a prostitute. Can you imagine a conservative paper–say, the Washington Times, The American Conservative, National Review–describing Michelle Obama as a whore? Or Trump’s fans wearing scrotal hats?

There is a brattyness in the apparent belief of the Clinton Americans that they are entitled to the electoral result of their choice. When they don’t get it,they act like spoiled two-year-olds. Poor widdle fings! It is embarrassing. If Hillary had won, would disappointed Trumpists be squalling and posing in genital headgear or looting and burning?  Whatever the merits of the politics of either side, the two have little in common culturally.

The divide is far deeper and more general than the heat of the election. The sprawling class from which the protesters come, not just in Washington or just recently, opposes the bedrock of our approximation of democracy. It is not an economic divide. On American campuses almost everywhere “students,” most of whom do not have the intelligence for college, use the tactics of Brown Shirts to shut down speeches by anyone who does not agree with them.  They have no conception of reasoned debate, toleration of disagreement, or respect for law. Rather than promote  assimilation to the American norm, or what was the American norm, the only hope to keep the country from devolving into warring tribes, they promote identity politics. They do not, for example, disavow the depredations of Black Lives Matter. Any behavior is acceptable, even admirable, if engaged in by their side.

Decorum and its lack are recurrent themes. I have no hard evidence, but suspect that the Other America believes that men should behave as gentlemen and women, ladies; that sex should be a private matter and in particular that children should not be too early exposed to it. Clinton’s America leans more to the view that sexual language is authentic and natural. Hemorrhagic tuberculosis is natural, but perhaps not to be encouraged. And so from a mainstream performer, Beyonce, the lyrics

“Can you lick my Skittles, it’s the sweetest in the middle/ Pink is the flavor, solve the riddle”

Painfully cute. Can you imagine Billie Holiday singing this? Ella Fitzgerald? From rappers there is far more explicit, scatological, and sadomasochistic “music.” Whether you think this is people’s art, the authentic expression of an oppressed race, or something that should be scrawled on the wall of a public toilet, tracks with who you voted for. Again, two countries.

Berkeley Protests of Breitbart’s Milo Yiannopoulos Caused $100,000 in Damage”

“Protests that erupted at UC Berkeley ahead of a planned Wednesday appearance by right-wing commentator Milo Yiannopoulos caused $100,000 worth of damage to the campus, the school said Thursday.”

These vandals are the storm troopers of the Clinton America. I cannot imagine the Other America behaving thusly because of the scheduling of any speaker whatever.

For whatever reason, those who regard themselves as liberals are far more given to demonstrating and rioting than conservatives, and far more vulgar. I say “regard themselves as liberals.” Their behavior is opposite to classical liberalism. Vulgarity is not liberalism. Neither is arson. Neither is suppression of free speech. All of these are now the norm on campuses, in the media, among both students and professors. And among the protesters.

Another country.

Protests as such  give little to deplore. Demonstrations are both legal and constitutionally protected if well behaved, and the women in Washington were. It is the values they represent that marks them as another country. The self-satisfaction  appalls, the belief that they represent the universe. Coming together in vast shared tantrums, endlessly reaffirming each other on Facebook, may give them an exaggerated impression of their numbers. Thus the frequent use of the phrase “we the people.” Actually they are “we, quite a large number of the people.” As I write Trump’s approval stands at 52%. My guess is that the man’s unending truculence will lower his numbers, but it hasn’t yet. And a complete failure of his presidency will not change the fact that half of the country is thoroughly sick of the other half.

Where does this lead?

The Daily Mail has always been Conservative newspaper of sorts, but it is in a decadent form nowadays (the website version is much worse than the paper version, which is more targeted at its traditional UK only lower middle class readership whereas the website has gone for the global celebrity news market unfortunately). Most Daily Mail readers voted for Brexit and many would have voted for Trump. It is the media outlet British “liberals” most despise.

Seen from afar, it seems as if a kind of “color revolution” is taking place up there; a soft coup d’etat, in other words. This is no laughing matter and could bring about a violent backlash if it persists. Perhaps that’s the only way the insurrectionists (because that’s what they are) can be brought to heel, because all this has gone way beyond legitimate protest, never mind political disagreement. My hope is that Pres. Trump is taking his lumps and biding his time, waiting for the insurrectionists to reach the bridge too far before counter-attacking. Sad to say, those who voted for him will likely have no choice but to join the fray.

Just waking up?

Of course these are the tactics of a phony “color revolution”!!! Soros is behind much of this unrest – as he was in most or all of the European “color revolutions”. Soros, elements of the CIA, and the more extreme neocons including Obama, Hillary and some republicans (McStain, for one) form a cabal that works for subversion everywhere, globalization, the destruction of borders generally and a particularly acute hatred for Russia.

I hope for a pullback to decency, but I don’t expect one. Prepare yourselves, dig in, and buckle up.

The wheat and the tares are surely beginning to be manifested. It won’t be long till those in Trump’s camp now, that actually are more hedonistic in their morals, will begin to move further toward the left. Not because their politics($) are similar. But, because their cultural norms are.
This is where the real battle is. Whether or not one will conform to civil moral behavior or to the revolutionary because of their very immoral behavioral norms. I have worked with both. And when push comes to shove the immoral stick together much more so than with their politics.
It is this battle between light and darkness that will eventually draw more and more of the morally bankrupt that have found a temporary home in Trump’s camp, toward the left.

Trump has already accomplished a lot by exposing the media and its intimate ties to the demo-communists, demolishing PC, confronting the Judicial dictatorship. Now he has exposed the fact that parts of the Deep State are clearly treasonous….Other than that, Fred’s article is spot on.

I usually like Fred but he has been off his rocker the last couple months. Not sure whats happened . The real division is Religious / Spiritual in nature. Many people have abandoned the nation’s founding Documents one of which was the Bible or Christianity . Once this happens they abandon the beliefs , Traditions ,along with Shame .Shame used to shape and guide our behavior. The internal guidelines have been removed from many people therefore they no longer think their behavior is wrong , shameful ,rude or treasonous.I n my best theological thinking.

I don’t know about Fred being off his rocker, but you are correct about the rejection of Godly principles as the means to determine what kind of gov’t we want as Americans. Hence the comment I made about where the divisions will go in the very near future.

The real division is productive vs. parasitical in nature. Plenty of Jeebus-loving welfare pests were out there protesting & looting & burning. Plenty of Mormons and Atheists and Nation of Islam worked and brought home a paycheck. Do useful work, or be a parasite, everyone chooses. Even the parasites have not sunk so low as taking a tithe in return for telling people they’re guilty, wicked, and sinful.

Eyewitness , Many have turned away from Christ Jesus and Christianity. As a result they turn to some form of Ideologies such as Marxism-Leninism .This is really just another type of idolatry.Romans 1: 18 – 32 gives us a good look at God’s wrath of Abandonment where He gives people over to their favorite SIN.Most of these people and society at large have no idea they/it has already been judged by God.Our only true hope is national repentance and a turn back to Christ but our elites and their media lackies will never allow it.We as a nation/society are doomed as the United States of America.Other then state Secession I’m not sure how we will survive.

For decades this country has been moving to the left, what was not long ago far left is now centrist. As a result of this shift, the “new leftists” are having trouble finding anything new and meaningful to claim as a cause, the good pickings being long gone.

So this deficit, of meaningful substance to champion, has been mitigated by increasing the volume. That this group is so easily led by TPTB is another story.

Fred’s opening remarks were rude and uncalled for.
They indicate Fred has a share of the catastrophic
buffoonery in his own portfolio.
The long talk about manners made up for that a bit,
but not enough. I am angry Fred name called Trump!

Christianity does not ensure courtesy, and does not confirm
a conscience either. One either wants to get along with others
or one wants to act out. The women in pink hats etc? My
God, they are either stone stupid or desperate for an outing
with friends.

The “revolution” will be a massive tantrum of rage against the
“system” for the corruption that has been evident to all, even
those that seek to deny it. It would be much classier if the
protests were about the endless war machine and the gross
wholesale embezzlers and thieves we have running the country.
Soros, crazy weird freak, may be paying agitators on behalf of the
“NWO” but we should start by blaming the aged (and younger)
mini-gods that we keep electing. We certainly need term limits.

Just a thought, but Trump is the President, is he not? Did the last President not launch drone attacks against enemies of the USA, even in countries where we are not currently at war? Is not a man like George Soros an enemy of the USA? There might be a media meltdown in the aftermath, but if he’s gone he’s no longer a threat.

The provocations will only go on so long before there is a resounding backlash. It is coming.

I take great exception with the belief that there are 2 Americas. As someone who would NEVER have voted for EITHER Trump NOR Hillary, I contend that if there is a division, it would be between those who believe that government should have power and control over everyone’s lives, economy, personal choices, bodies, property, income, children, and every other aspect of one’s life, and a very small minority who still actually believe in freedom and liberty. Within the much larger camp are those on the left who supported Hillary, Bernie, Jill Stein, and possibly others, and those who supported Trump, his GOP opponents, Gary Johnson, and possibly others. It isn’t about class, it isn’t about race, it isn’t about religious beliefs (except of course for the belief in the new god – the state). It is about a fundamental belief that nobody under any circumstance deserves the right to RULE over anyone else and all those who believe otherwise – and the natural extensions (and divisions and destruction) that power ultimately and inevitably brings.

It’s not a small minority of liberty lovers.

How many people voted? Trump got, what, 65 million votes? Hillary got, what, 66-67 million votes, half or so were dead, illegal aliens or otherwise not allowed to vote?

That means, what, maybe 100 million out of 240 million of voting age that maybe actually voted? If my numbers are anywhere near correct, that means a whole shit-ton of people were silent. And when people are silent and are buying arms and equipment like crazy, it scares the hell out of those trying to steal elections and put their chosen one in office.

That is why Trump is in the Whorehouse on Penn Ave, to try to appease the pissed-off masses. A pressure-valve, if you will. But it’s not working. People see who have been picked to “help run the country” and see a lot of Goldman Sachs and assorted billionaires. And when the realization that the economy has already tanked, the Shit Hits the Fan.

Game on.

Indeed, a whole lot of people voted, but most of them didn’t choose not to vote because they are liberty lovers. My personal experience in the world outside of sites like this, LewRockwell, Mises, and others is that a vast majority of Americans do NOT value true freedom or liberty and are more than happy to “justify” their support for one of the two major parties or government in general because of a misguided worship of the state and its ability to “make things all better” in one way or the other (generally warfare or welfare in all their dysfunctional forms). I hope you are correct in your assessment that the numbers are large. They will need to be. I know the education levels of these folks are high as it takes a lot of personal education to cut through the years and years of propaganda, peer pressure, and societal distaste for freedom and individual rights.

Sorry, not buying in to your whole education level theory. There are more than you think getting the scoop on what is actually happening behind the curtains, but even those that aren’t viscerally know they are being bent over the pickle barrel.

Ask any mechanic, welder, store owner (in small twns, anyway) or anybody else that actually has to WORK for a ‘living’ how things are, and you will get an earful, as long as you’re not an asshole about it.

They’re sick and tired of being used as revenue-generators tonpay for the degenerates that get airtime on the boob-tube, and just waiting for ‘the right time’ to clean house, top-to-bottom.

Most can’t even ‘tune in’ to the BS anymore, and are just keepin’ on keepin’ on waiting for the other shoe to drop.

Remember, .gov isn’t the only faction making lists.

Have to agree MN Steel. Around here I see the same thing. It is not only “worker bees” that feel that way. I know some very wealthy people that feel exactly that way as well. One in particular is openly hostile to liberals and their “way of life”.
I suspect that Trump hit the nail on the head when he spoke about the “silent majority”. The problem is that most of them are silent. It is not silence due to misunderstanding, it is silence because they just want to be left alone. They do not want to be fired or become some example used by some state actor like IRS or some local douche nozzle. The issue is that over the years, we have built so many laws and so many small empires have grown out of those laws, that people are nervous of being prosecuted under color of law for their political views. They also believe (maybe mis guided, maybe not) that voting is useless, and the only way that this will be dealt with is through “other means” like prepping, gun ownership (in case of emergency) and other “under the radar” means. Not sure if they are correct or not, however that is how they feel.

While I don’t deny the mass upset, I do absolutely deny that this upset comes with a deeper understand of the root causes (ie – government, government power, government size, etc.). The vast majority of the folks you listed will fight you to the death to promote their vision of a larger military, the need for more foreign wars, the need to continue the failed war on terrorism, the need to maintain government monopoly schools for everyone, the need for a Federal Reserve to keep the stock market up, etc. They are generally still completely unwilling to let go of THEIR personal favorite government program because they fail to understand the basic tenet of government. Massive government abroad is ALWAYS accompanied by massive government domestically. That is what is sad about both major parties and their followers. They simply do not understand that you cannot have one without the other. Rome didn’t have it, the British Empire didn’t have it, the Soviet Union didn’t have it…NO empires have ever had it. Government is either correctly seen as the problem (everywhere), and efforts are put forth to dismantle it and return power to all citizens through the marketplace of competitive businesses, HONEST banking, sound money, and restored personal liberties, or the problems will NEVER get better (even if the pitchforks and burning torches finally get some use).

Good read Fred. This divide was planted a long time ago and progressed to this point. I see this progression going so far. When the Gestapo really starts stepping on the lefts rights, and telling them they don’t have free speech, they are either going full militant or crawling like proper NWO sheep back to their safe spaces. Thus further determining whether they get red or blue list. I have been thinking about Making a post called no athiests allowed. Secretary General of UN says noone gets into NWO without bowing and making pledge to Lucifer to get in. So, If someone thinks those Christians are crazy to believe in GOD and Jesus, why does the enemy acknowledge the same GOD, and JESUS. Why does anyone wonder why all these religions are converging and leaving one out. Who is behind this Old Old plan?? We know Who, How and Why. Unfortunately Ed, I suspect if Thomas Jefferson was alive today, he would not even make it to the primaries. We unfortunately are a different society. Back then, EVERYONE worked. There was no welfare or laziness. This bred a whole different reality centered individual. No IPhones, or You Tube, and people HAD to be realistic. They were also a lot more religiously grounded. NOT modern sheeple religion, real salt of the earth religion.
Ron Paul’s image is great, however the reality is that he would have not stood a chance against the current mess that Trump is dealing with. The deep actors would have torn him apart quickly. At least Trump is well equipped to deal with the Piranhas in his midst.
