The Stakes for Trump and All of Us

Guest Post by Paul Craig Roberts

We need to understand, and so does President Trump, that the hoax “war on terror” was used to transform intelligence agencies, such as the NSA and CIA, and criminal investigative agencies, such as the FBI, into Gestapo secret police agencies. Trump is now threatened by these agencies, because he rejects the neoconservative’s agenda of US world hegemony that supports the gigantic military/security annual budget.

Our secret police agencies are busy at work planting “intelligence” among the presstitute media that Trump is compromised by “Russian connections” and is a security threat to the United States. The plan is to make a case in the media, as was done against President Nixon, and to force Trump from office. To openly take on a newly elected president is an act of extraordinary audacity that implies enormous confidence, or else desperation, on the part of the police state agencies.

Here you can see CNN openly cooperating with the CIA in treating wild and irresponsible speculation that Trump is under Russian influence as if it is an established fact. http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/46476.htm
The “evidence” provided by CNN and the CIA is a “report” by the New York Times that, with little doubt, was planted in the NYT by the CIA.

This is so obvious that it is clear that CNN and the CIA regard the American people as so gullible as to be completely stupid.

Glenn Greenwald explains to Amy Goodman that the CIA is after Trump, because Trump’s announced policy of reducing the dangerous tensions with Russia conflicts with the military/security complex’s need for a major enemy.

“The deep state, although there’s no precise or scientific definition, generally refers to the agencies in Washington that are permanent power factions. They stay and exercise power even as presidents who are elected come and go. They typically exercise their power in secret, in the dark, and so they’re barely subject to democratic accountability, if they’re subject to it at all. It’s agencies like the CIA, the NSA and the other intelligence agencies, that are essentially designed to disseminate disinformation and deceit and propaganda, and have a long history of doing not only that, but also have a long history of the world’s worst war crimes, atrocities and death squads. This is who not just people like Bill Kristol, but lots of Democrats are placing their faith in, are trying to empower, are cheering for as they exert power separate and apart from—in fact, in opposition to—the political officials to whom they’re supposed to be subordinate.

“And you go—this is not just about Russia. You go all the way back to the campaign, and what you saw was that leading members of the intelligence community, including Mike Morell, who was the acting CIA chief under President Obama, and Michael Hayden, who ran both the CIA and the NSA under George W. Bush, were very outspoken supporters of Hillary Clinton. In fact, Michael Morell went to The New York Times, and Michael Hayden went to The Washington Post, during the campaign to praise Hillary Clinton and to say that Donald Trump had become a recruit of Russia. The CIA and the intelligence community were vehemently in support of Clinton and vehemently opposed to Trump, from the beginning. And the reason was, was because they liked Hillary Clinton’s policies better than they liked Donald Trump’s. One of the main priorities of the CIA for the last five years has been a proxy war in Syria, designed to achieve regime change with the Assad regime. Hillary Clinton was not only for that, she was critical of Obama for not allowing it to go further, and wanted to impose a no-fly zone in Syria and confront the Russians. Donald Trump took exactly the opposite view. He said we shouldn’t care who rules Syria; we should allow the Russians, and even help the Russians, kill ISIS and al-Qaeda and other people in Syria. So, Trump’s agenda that he ran on was completely antithetical to what the CIA wanted. Clinton’s was exactly what the CIA wanted, and so they were behind her. And so, they’ve been trying to undermine Trump for many months throughout the election. And now that he won, they are not just undermining him with leaks, but actively subverting him. There’s claims that they’re withholding information from him, on the grounds that they don’t think he should have it and can be trusted with it. They are empowering themselves to enact policy.

“Now, I happen to think that the Trump presidency is extremely dangerous. You just listed off in your news—in your newscast that led the show, many reasons. They want to dismantle the environment. They want to eliminate the safety net. They want to empower billionaires. They want to enact bigoted policies against Muslims and immigrants and so many others. And it is important to resist them. And there are lots of really great ways to resist them, such as getting courts to restrain them, citizen activism and, most important of all, having the Democratic Party engage in self-critique to ask itself how it can be a more effective political force in the United States after it has collapsed on all levels. That isn’t what this resistance is now doing. What they’re doing instead is trying to take maybe the only faction worse than Donald Trump, which is the deep state, the CIA, with its histories of atrocities, and say they ought to almost engage in like a soft coup, where they take the elected president and prevent him from enacting his policies. And I think it is extremely dangerous to do that. Even if you’re somebody who believes that both the CIA and the deep state, on the one hand, and the Trump presidency, on the other, are extremely dangerous, as I do, there’s a huge difference between the two, which is that Trump was democratically elected and is subject to democratic controls, as these courts just demonstrated and as the media is showing, as citizens are proving. But on the other hand, the CIA was elected by nobody. They’re barely subject to democratic controls at all. And so, to urge that the CIA and the intelligence community empower itself to undermine the elected branches of government is insanity. That is a prescription for destroying democracy overnight in the name of saving it. And yet that’s what so many, not just neocons, but the neocons’ allies in the Democratic Party, are now urging and cheering. And it’s incredibly warped and dangerous to watch them do that.” http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/46476.htm

The United States is now in the extraordinary situation that the liberal/progressive/left is allied with the deep state against democracy. The liberal/progressive/left are lobbying for the impeachment of a president who has committed no impeachable offense. The neoconservatives have stated their preference for a deep state coup against democracy. The media obliges with a constant barrage of lies, innuendos and disinformation. The insouciant American public sits there sucking its thumb.

What can Trump do? He can clean out the intelligence agencies and terminate their license granted by Bush and Obama to conduct unconstitutional activities. He can use anti-trust to breakup the media conglomerates that Clinton allowed to form. If Bush and Obama can on their own authority subject US citizens to indefinite detention without due process and if Obama can murder suspect US citizens without due process of law, Trump can use anti-trust law to break up the media conglomerates that speak with one voice against him.

At this point Trump has no alternative but to fight. He can take down the secret police agencies and the presstitute media conglomerates, or they will take him down. Dismissing Flynn was the worse thing to do. He should have kept Flynn and fired the “leakers” who are actively using disinformation against him. The NSA would have to know who the leakers are. Trump should clean out the corrupt NSA management and install officials who will identify the leakers. Then Trump should prosecute the leakers to the full extent of the law.

No president can survive secret police agencies determined to destroy him. If Trump’s advisers don’t know this, Trump desperately needs new advisers.

Obama and Hillary, two Government career politicians, were standing at the base of a flagpole, looking up.
A businessman walked by and asked what they were doing.
“We’re supposed to find the height of the flagpole”, said Obama, “But we don’t have a ladder.”

The businessman said, “Hand me that wrench out of your toolbox.”
He loosened a few bolts, then laid the pole down.
He then took a tape measure from their toolbox, took a measurement and announced, “Eighteen feet, six inches” and walked away.

Hillary shook her head and laughed.
“Ain’t that just like a ‘Businessman-know-it-all'” she said.
“We need the height and He gave us the length!”

Obama and Hillary are no longer working for the Government.

“I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve.” (Japanese General Isoroku Yamamoto 1941)

It will be different this time.
The Right is awakening and they own all the guns.

The biggest guns are “owned” by the military and as long as Pres. Trump has their support, as he should, because his government is the legally constituted government, there is little danger of civil war. Stalin once asked “How many divisions does the pope have?” Well, Pres. Trump has ten US Army divisions, not to mention the other branches of the service and other law enforcement groups also sworn to uphold the law. Kind of hard to imagine generalissimo Michael Moore and all the pussy-hat brigades combined pulling off a successful armed rebellion,no?

Remember Eisenhower and Little Rock? Check out the Insurrection Act, 10 U.S. Code section 331. My guess is that gun-owning Americans won’t need to be called up as well.

They own all the guns, but it things continue the way they are they will be using them against each other as they fight against themselves instead of unifying against the left.

There are many leftists gun owners & military personnel out there we would need to “neutralize” first. The only flag flying neighbor we have is a leftist Prog. Barry lover.

I am watching the warfare going on in our government, as the deep state attempts to destroy president Trump with the help of all the moles in the alphabet agencies along with the MSM. The future of our country is at stake and therefore wonder how such well informed thinkers can describe the attacks against the president, then go on to nit pick at his policies, that will become the fuel for the media, who are always looking for division within the ranks to weaken president Trump. I am not disagreeing with Mr. Roberts in his assessment, but think in a time of internal war, a side should be picked and supported. When the weapons are laid down and if president Trump still stands, the debate about his policies should begin. I’m just afraid we may never get that far if the deplorables don’t stand up and support the president. I truly respect the opinions and positions Mr. Roberts takes, but think that trying to address both the battle as well as policy differences at the same time is counter productive to winning the cause.

Trump should assume that every word spoken or typed by him or his people is heard and read by the NSA and other intelligence agencies. Even if he were to use an encrypted phone he’d have to use it while standing in a random field talking to someone in another random field because every room in the White House, Camp David, Air Force One and Marine One are bugged. He and Brannon are going to have to devise some ploy, some head fake, by which the evil plotters will reveal themselves. Even to devise such a ploy, they’ll have to find a safe place to talk – out in the woods somewhere away from even the Secret Service. I think Pence is a mole. If Trump wants to head-fake the CIA, he should tell something to Pence “in confidence”.

Wow, Iska, you need to stop sniffing the airplane glue. When they said Trump needs to circle the wagons, they didn’t mean he has to hide in the Oval office like Nixon.

Maybe the CIA will play the role of deep throat but I hardly think Trump will be reduced to praying on his knees before Lincoln’s portrait.

It’s all fun and games til somebody gets hurt. So far, it’s only cutting remarks by both sides.

Pence is the real president, that precedent was set by Cheney or H.W. Bush when Uncle Ronnie checked out of Hotel California. So, I don’t see how you can suggest Pence is a double agent.

If Trump had anyone within the CIA that he could trust, he should kidnap Brennan and pound nails into his fingertips until he gives up the names of the most evil deep state actors – the ones determined to invade Syria, depose Assad and turn the place over to Al Baghdadi.

Leakers are usually caught by a unique marking of the classified info they receive. Just like cartographers catch those who steal their map-making work by placing a few false cul-de-sacs. But it can also be a unique spoken phrase to someone that is the mark that “outs” a leaker. Trump has people all over this.

The simplicity of all of this is striking, yet the obtuse nature of the relativist worldview makes it impenetrable to virtually everyone.

1) Intelligence agencies exist not to protect America, but to collect information in order to control the population and counter threats to itself.

2) The vast majority of mid to upper-level management in government are selected not for their loyalty and trustworthiness, but for their corrupt nature and degenerate appetites. This makes them both manageable if they adhere and disposable should they fail to adhere to the party line.

3) The media is the propaganda arm of the Narrative. It exists not to inform, but to cover-up misdeeds of the functionaries serving the Narrative and to target threats to the regime.

4) Globalism is simply an overreach of the elites and the end game of all tyrannical empires.

5) You can only corrupt Nature to the point where the system self-corrects. This is happening as we speak.

6) All human societies have cyclical time frames and we are in the final season prior to the Natural reset.

7) Nothing can change what is inevitable.

As the Narrative (the storyline of a society) diverges from historical reality (what actually takes place) the closer we come to the inevitable dissolution of the Culture. The Narrative and Historical Reality are most closely aligned during the flowering of the Culture and are furthest from each other immediately prior to collapse.

While there exist multiple cycles within a Cultural History (4th Turnings) these seasonal episodes are minor mirrors of much larger epochal cycles that always end with the complete dissolution and historical dissipation of the founding Culture.

This is like watching an ice age in real time, or the change between the Silurian and Devonian periods unfold before our eyes. There will be no return to the “Deep State” or the progressivism and moral relativism of the past nor will we will enter a new fascism- what lies ahead is Rome mid-fourth century.

Wild times.

If Trump falls to the Deep State, the USA is toast. We will simply become a large version of East Germany with a powerful Stasi controlling the population. And about that wall with Mexico, it will keep us in, not keep the Mexicans out.

America is the greatest Nation State that has ever existed on this planet. It was founded on concepts and principles that where learned in the usual way, through the mistakes of those before and payment in great quantities of blood, sweat and tears. This had engendered a conceit that comes to those that are sure they have conquered the world in which they live. One that was shared no doubt by the Chinese, the Romans, the Incans, the Mayans – and all the others that came before. We thought that this time it really is different. We have shrunk the world so that one can breakfast in London, lunch in New York and dinner in San Francisco. We have put men on the moon, plumbed the depths of genetics and the inner workings of the atom. With all the great minds applied to the problems for the last hundreds of years surely there is no problem we can’t overcome. This virus of “in control over confident” has spread throughout the world like a pandemic with a long incubation period but a 90% fatality rate. It has spread through our “just in time” delivery systems, our instantaneous digital currency transfers and our seeming belief that we can borrow from the future ad infinitum.

Yet the truth is right there, clear to be seen by anyone who bothers to look. From Thomas Malthus to Roy Beck, from Milutin Malinkovitch to Guy McPherson, from M. K. Hubbard to L. Arnoux & Bedford Hill, from Robert Precter to Strauss and Howe.

This time it WILL be different. It will not be a local bubbling over of a much larger pot like Little Rock, to be handled by political sleight of hand and the might of the US military. It will be the simultaneous eruption of thousands of proletariat volcanoes in every city of size in the world when the credit cards stop working and the grocery shelves are empty. And all the kings horse and all the kings men will not put Humpty together again. Those that are aware and prepare will be fighting those that are not and don’t. A civil war of worldwide proportions that pits the haves against have nots. Untold billions will die. Those that aren’t killed in the ensuing chaos will die from starvation or disease.

After a period of time, the survivors will settle in to a new way of life. If we are lucky, in might share many of the attributes of J. H. Kunstler’s “ World Made By Hand”. If we are real lucky, enough of the accumulated knowledge will survive so that the next time it will be different.
