Stephen Colbert’s Pizzagate Criticism Omitted A Major Conflict Of Interest

Originally Posted at Free Market Shooter

When Pizzagate was making headlines late last year, Stephen Colbert was incredibly dismissive of the saga, and slandered anyone who would dare question its authenticity.  Back in December (not long before this article was posted), he did a 10-minute segment on his show, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, where as the Daily Beast covered, he did everything possible to slander Pizzagate contributors but call for their prosecution:

“A conspiracy is what villains do. An agreement is what adults do,” he said. “Look around the country. Wouldn’t you agree we need some more adults? So WikiLeaks, Alex Jones, and the subreddit sub-geniuses—and I mean this in the nicest way possible: grow the fuck up.”

The entire segment, which has little if any comedic value and is more of a rant, is below:

(Note: Isn’t a comedian supposed to at least attempt to be funny?)

In the segment, he also made brief mention of the Podesta emails which linked Colbert to John Podesta himself.  In a haphazard attempt to get laughs out of the crowd, he alluded that his “connection” to Podesta was no more than a few emails mentioning upcoming segments on his show.

It is almost as if he forgot the internet exists.

A tweet was shared with me recently, that exposed a far more sinister connection between Colbert and Podesta, which of course Colbert did not mention on his show:

//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js

//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js

Two tweets aren’t enough, so a little digging was necessary.  And lo and behold, the truth was even worse than the above tweets.

A post on Voat confirmed all of it and more, including the timeline of Colbert “taking orders” from Podesta.  In April of 2013, a fundraiser for Elizabeth Colbert Busch’s run for Congress in South Carolina was indeed hosted by John and Tony Podesta:

As Red Alert Politics reported, right around the same time as this fundraiser in April 2013, Colbert’s show (then at Comedy Central, titled The Colbert Report) was making episodes at the request of the Clinton Global Initiative:

Craig Minassian of the Clinton group e-mailed John Podesta, the close ally and future campaign manager for Hillary, to see if he saw a specific episode of the show that they pitched.

“I hope you got a chance to see the The Colbert Report’s two special episodes I had them do about CGI U that we taped in St. Louis this weekend,” Minassian said in the e-mail. “This is the link to last nights with a sketch about commitments and the monologue and WJC (Bill Clinton) interview aired Monday. Hope you enjoy and looking forward to your feedback. Next will be your Colbert appearance!”

Colbert will certainly say this timeline of events is a mere coincidence… but then again, that would be assuming he mentions them at all, as he clearly omitted them from his original Pizzagate segment.

As I have stated in the past, Pizzagate is the story that is never going away, no matter who is trying to bury it, or how.  Child pedophilia is something that should obviously be taken extremely seriously.  Milo Yiannopolous recently learned the hard way that it is no laughing matter, as he lost his book deal and was recently forced to resign from his position at Breitbart over “jokes” he made long ago, and allegations of his connection to pedophilia.  If you think that an alleged underground sex ring is going to all of a sudden fade out of the news feed, you may be correct… but it will re-emerge at the most unlikely of times, and in the most unlikely of circumstances, because the allegations are far too awful to ignore forever.

But the last person who should be trying to bury the story is someone who is directly connected to the people (the Podesta brothers) at the center of the controversy.  He may have been trying to defend his Podesta friends, or maybe he was ever ordered to defend them.  But the last thing Colbert wants, is to be linked to this scandal and the cover-up.  Take it from Milo – child pedophilia is no “joking” matter.

Colbert needs to grow up, but its very, very difficult for someone who has unique tastes in sex partners.

Well, I didn’t even know who Stephen Colbert is until I read this. That’s a benefit of being off the TV drug for almost two decades.

I tried watching but couldn’t finish. What I don’t get is why is it so important for Colbert to even talk about all this on his show. Makes no sense. That is until I read the article and see the links. He should leave well enough alone but instead hitched his horse for the race last November and lost.

I really don’t get why he did that. Career wise it made more sense to be Switzerland. Neutral.

He is a total douche bag. My favorite Colbert moment was when he asked a Canadian politician of Indian descent what his caste was, the guy tore him a new asshole right on live TV.

On his Comedy Central show he played the part of a humorous asshole. Now he’s a serious one.

I didn’t watch it either. I grew up on Johnny. Nuff said.

I keep coming back to physiognomy. Look at their faces. Do those two men look like healthy specimens? There is clearly something ‘not right’ about them.

And to date not one single MSM reporter has had the stones to ask the question, “John, what is that picture about?”

Absolutely right HSF although one can hardly blame reporters for not asking. Anyone who raised it would likely end up wiith their stones cut off.

And you’re right in that picture. Pedesta looks like he is at Death’s Door. Hardly the image one expect of a mover and shaker on Mainstreet. But does exude the aura of a slimy creature perfectly at home in the swamp in DC.

If Colbert is just a political asshole, I hope that gets out and he gets “shunned” out of TV.
If he’s ONE OF THEM – well, I just hope his “perp-walk” makes the evening news.
