What Trump promised vs. what he accomplished in his first 100 days

Trump hits 100-day mark on Saturday with much remaining undone

Getty Images
Donald Trump will mark 100 days as president on Saturday, with a few big agenda items fulfilled — but many not.

President Donald Trump said last week the 100-day benchmark for evaluating new administrations is “ridiculous.” But it wasn’t that long ago that Trump himself laid out a 28-point “contract with the American voter,” outlining his goals for exactly that time period.

By his own standards — released in late October — the president’s record is a mixed bag. Yes, he’s fulfilled some pledges: he backed out of the Trans-Pacific Partnership and saw Neil Gorsuch confirmed as a Supreme Court justice. But other plans remain unfinished or even abandoned: he declined to name China a currency manipulator, for example.

Trump is approaching Saturday’s 100-day mark with a burst of activity, teasing the release of a “big tax reform and reduction” plan on Wednesday — but also backing away from a demand to quickly fund his border-wall proposal amid the threat of a government shutdown. Meanwhile, the White House is touting Trump’s accomplishments including the signing of executive orders.

“Ridiculous” standard or not, here’s how Trump’s agenda has fared, along with a score developed by MarketWatch. Completed pledges get 10 points; those not completed get 0; and partially completed ones — for example, an executive order that has been blocked or an action that’s been lifted — get 5.

Using that system, Trump gets 115 out of a possible 280 points, or 41%.

If I was wearing a tee shirt right now it would probably read I WAS HUMPED BY TRUMP.

41% my ass.

Take out the ‘who gives a shit’ stuff that will be overturned the minute he’s replaced and add those things that matter and got him elected.

I’d say war and slaughter of defenseless foreign countries deserves a grade, don’t you?

How about all those Goldman cronies in high places. Doesn’t that deserve a grade?

How about ‘lock her up’ or are we peons the only ones who have to face justice?

How about establishing a relationship with Putin? What’s the grade on that?

How about America First? Or should we be asking Bibi?

How about not policing the world? I’d say that was a minus 1,000

It’s the same old shit: Do what’s necessary to keep the game going and hand out the scraps to the servants.

You left out some important promises such as locking up the Hildabeast, normalizing relations with Russia, getting out of Syria and the Middle East and withdrawing from NATO to mention just a few. After the election, Trump decides to leave the Clinton Crime Family alone, insult Putin and Russia, bomb Syria on the basis of a False Flag gas attack, send the armada and the war mongering VP to the Korean Peninsula, tell NATO that it is doing fine, go after truth-teller Julian Assange and Wikileaks, demote Steve Bannon, the man who got Trump elected, and load the cabinet with Wall Street banksters and war mongers…to mention just a few of the important 180 degree reversals.

It appears we can add a border wall with Mexico to the list. At the rate Trump is going, he will be Obummer II or Bush III or Clinton II in no time at all which just goes to show the Republican-Democrat or right-left narrative is a a FAKE narrative to confuse, disarm and a deceive the American people. Let’s face it, the US is not a constitutional republic or a people’s democracy but an oligarchy with only the shredded trappings of a republic remaining. My sense is there will be serious consequences for Trump and the oligarchs who own and run the US because once the trust is gone, the ballot box is no longer an option to achieve major reform.

The first item listed is to amend the Constitution. The president has ZERO role in amending the Constitution. Since the author is obviously retarded, I’ll skip the rest.

Let’s pretend some of you can play 164d, or whatever Jim called it. What if Trump sat down with Xi in Palm Beach, and said, “I want you to handle North Korea.” And what if Xi said, “I don’t like that fat motherfucker either, what do you want to do?” And what if they hatched a plan to take him down. How would China benefit? Maybe getting rid of a nutjob with nukes on your border is viewed as a good thing in China. Instead they could have a prosperous, capitalist Korea to take some of the economic slack we are about to create. We could bring our troops home, might save some money so Trump can cut my taxes. Korea could spend their money rebuilding a unified Korea. If I were Trump, I might suggest sending the vice president to talk about this with the leaders in the region who could help. Oh wait, he already did that. I might call the entire Senate together and have my boy T-Rex brief them on our options. Wait, did that too. Could be popcorn time in Asia.

I hope your right. I do see the benefit, but I am holding my enthusiasm, as we have all been lubed up before and then just got the big stiffie up the shoot from liars. True, he is not a politician, but I have to agree I am getting damn tired of asking Israel and Golden Sacks for permission to do anything. Goldman should pay back the taxpayer – directly, as in a check from Goldman made out to each and every citizen they have fucked for years for restitution, and Israel is their own country, and I am tired of us butt-kissing the Jews in charge on every damn thing. I don’t see us warring with them, or think it is a grand ‘joo’ conspiracy, but I do see us telling them that their way is not our way. Too many bankers and campaign donors to that I guess…

Marketwatch. Ahem. Might as well have been scored by the kids that write at Yahoo. Nothing like holding him accountable though, because he’s such a jerk! Shoulda been Jeb! or Hillary! At least they had clear visions for where they wanted to take the country AND they would have worked with Congress Soooo much better!

Ok, got it. Thanks.

The very same bill that was passed time and time again (and given to Obama to sign) repealing Obamacare, was introduced into this Congress but it went nowhere. The GOP is, and has always been, all talk and no action. They promised to abolish the Dept. of Education in 1994 and yet voted overwhelmingly to saddle the nation with No Child Left Behind (the biggest expansion of federal “education” power in decades. Meanwhile, in the Constitution, we find ABSOLUTELY NO AUTHORITY for the federal government to have ANY involvement in education, healthcare, ………..

“promote the general Welfare”

MrLiberty
MrLiberty

Much like the “necessary and proper” clause (which ONLY applies to executing the seriously LIMITED list of legal actions allowed by the Constitution), interpreting the “general welfare” clause with a massively broad brush (because it serves YOUR desires), completely undermines the very clear design of the wording of the document. If it was the goal of the founding fathers at the convention to simply allow whatever some government wanted to do, they would have simple said under each branch “do whatever the hell you want.” Seriously, all the downvotes you are getting are because logic clearly is not being applied, nor are the very clear writings of the founding fathers being taken into consideration.

From James Madison, one of the key authors of the Constitution (hopefully this will put the issue to rest for you):
“If Congress can employ money indefinitely to the general welfare, and are the sole and supreme judges of the general welfare, they may take the care of religion into their own hands; they may appoint teachers in every State, county and parish and pay them out of their public treasury; they may take into their own hands the education of children, establishing in like manner schools throughout the Union; they may assume the provision of the poor; they may undertake the regulation of all roads other than post-roads; in short, every thing, from the highest object of state legislation down to the most minute object of police, would be thrown under the power of Congress…. Were the power of Congress to be established in the latitude contended for,
it would subvert the very foundations, and transmute the very nature of the limited Government established by the people of America.”

Clearly he saw YOU coming a mile away along with the destruction of our nation and the manner of that destruction.

Inauguration speech was the high point. Speech in front of congressional meat puppets was good. Then the wheels started wobbling on the new reality show. He was hell bent on doing stuff, building stuff in a town where nothing’s been done in 50 fucking years. Well, stealing, that’s it. He’s bored. So he told the AARP generals to bomb whatever they want as long as its not Florida’s golf courses. You Goldman boys can steal whatever’s left, is there anything left? Anything else, ask my son in law, he can run it by uncle benny. See you on the 19th hole.

Iska Waran

The only way he can get what he wants (like Wall funding) is to credibly threaten to shut down the government if he doesn’t get it – and then let the government be shut down if they don’t cooperate. And then keep it shut down until those dickless Republicans (which is most of them) cry uncle. He has to grab them by their tiny balls and twist until they’re singing like castrati. He has to be willing to become temporarily more unpopular as national parks are shut down, VA loans are put on hold and maybe even Social Security payments are curtailed. I’m afraid he doesn’t have it in him to embrace the hate. He has to embrace the hate.

I’m not a Trumpist by any means, but this “same-old-same” does not seem the same as it has been with the R/D shuffle since the fall of the Soviet Union. I think that something else is afoot. Keep an eye on the French election and the subsequent interactions between Le Pen (if she wins), May during Brexit, and the real actions between Putin, Xi and Trump vs. the media hype and bloviations for the rest of 2017. I’m going to try and grace Admin’s alt-right-before-it-was-cool site with an opinion blog & a tad bit of evidence when I can on this. Cheers you crotchety bastards!

The fucker gets a zero on Obamacare. Actually, he should get a -10 because he tried to twist arms to pass the POS “replacement” that the GOPtards tried to float through Congress.

This guy Schroeder obviously watches too much TV, too.

Imho,if Trump agrees w/this he’s nuts.
The Dems are trying to trade continued Obamacare subsidies in return 4 increased military spending.
Even when they do not like it people will accept military spending so Trump should call their bluff-“…the Democrats shut down the government because they will not fund the military.”
