The Comey Firing

Guest Post by Scott Adams

What do Bernie Sanders’ hair and CNN have in common today? They are both saying, “Comey” every time you look at them.

The news coverage of Comey’s firing has become excellent entertainment. This is the biggest cognitive dissonance cluster bomb we’ve seen since election night. This one has everything.

For starters, the topic is too complicated for the public, and even the pundits. That creates a situation in which we’ll all invent our own version of the movie in our heads. Where there is confusion, complexity, and emotion there is usually lots of cognitive dissonance. We got all of that.

My cursory understanding of the topic is that Trump’s critics say he fired Comey to put a chill on the FBI’s investigation of collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign. This theory sort-of-almost makes sense, in a hypothetical and indirect way. I could see how taking out the top dog would make the underdogs at the FBI worry about going hard at the President. On the other hand, the people doing the actual investigation are professionals, and there would be too many witnesses if they did a bad job. So that doesn’t pass my sniff test. But I can’t rule it out, either.

President Trump’s official reason for the Comey firing has to do with a loss of confidence over his handling of the Clinton email investigation. The beauty of that official explanation (true or not) is that it is making heads explode with Democrats and the Opposition Media. How dare President Trump fire the person we publicly demanded he fire!

Now we have a bizarre situation in which both sides (Demcrats and Republicans) wanted Comey fired, but they had different reasons for wanting it. Democrats were upset that he might have torpedoed Hillary Clinton’s campaign by talking about the Weiner laptop discovery of additional Clinton emails close to Election Day. And Republicans hated Comey for not pursuing a criminal case against Clinton for her email server misdeeds. That’s the perfect set-up for cognitive dissonance. I’ll explain:

Democrats and the Opposition Media reflexively oppose almost everything President Trump does. This time he gave them something they wanted, badly, but not for the reason they wanted. That’s a trigger. It forces anti-Trumpers to act angry in public that he did the thing they wanted him to do. And they are.

Trump cleverly addressed the FBI’s Russian collusion investigation by putting the following line in the Comey firing letter: “While I greatly appreciate you informing me, on three separate occasions, that I am not under investigation, I nevertheless concur with the judgment of the Department of Justice that you are not able to effectively lead the Bureau.”

That one odd sentence caused every media outlet to display the quote and talk about it, over and over. And when you focus on something, no matter the reason, it rises in importance in your mind. President Trump, the Master Persuader, made all of us think about the “not under investigation” part over, and over, and over.

The trick here is that members of Trump’s campaign might be the ones under investigation, not Trump himself. But that’s where the complexity of this topic is useful to the Master Persuader. The viewing public won’t make that distinction. All they will hear – over and over – is the “not under investigation” part.

I’ve taught you in this blog that the right amount of “wrong” is what captures our attention and creates a memory. Trump’s odd inclusion of the “not under investigation” line is just wrong enough that we can’t move past it. It is persuasion-perfect.

The best explanation I have heard for the timing of Comey’s firing is that it comes soon after the Assistant Attorney General was confirmed, and he is Comey’s official boss. You need a proper boss for a proper firing. And it came right after Comey embarrassed himself by getting some facts about the Clinton email situation wrong in front of Congress. There is no perfect time to fire a person, but this was close to perfect.

My favorite part of this firing – from a persuasion perspective – is that it is such a strong move. The pure dominance of the play is what will stick in our minds. This was some ballsy Presidenting. That’s the lasting takeaway. You’ll remember the boldness long after you forget the timing and the details.

I’m also fascinated by how quickly the media turned on Comey after he was out of office. Apparently lots of people were afraid of him. No one mentioned that fear BEFORE he was fired, so I assume they really were afraid of him. Now people on both sides can’t stop yammering about how scary he was. Clearly it was a good firing for the country, regardless of the timing and the details.

My opinion of Comey’s handling of the Clinton email issue remains the same. I believe he sacrificed his career and reputation to avoid taking from the American voters their option of having the leader of their choice. If Comey had pushed for Clinton’s indictment, the country would have ended up with a President Trump without a “fair” election. That was the worst-case scenario for the country and the world. Comey prevented that disaster while still making it clear to the American public that Clinton was not guilt-free with her email server. He let the voters decide how much weight to assign all of that. In my opinion, Comey handled the Clinton email situation like a patriot. The media is spinning the situation as “making it all about himself.” That’s true in the same sense that a Medal of Honor winner who jumped on a grenade to save his buddies is “making it all about himself.” I don’t disagree with the characterization that Comey was trying to be the “hero” because that’s how it looks to me too.

I once heard a story about a guy who pulled a woman out of a car that was on fire. He got burns on his arms doing it. He saved her life, but I don’t like him because he was trying to be a hero. That guy made it all about himself.

I’m sure Comey had his flaws. But I don’t think his handling of the Clinton emails was among them. I assume historians will think otherwise.

Enjoyed the woman that spoke for the White House to the press. Have to paraphrase but at one point she said……..if Hillary Clinton was elected President and thank God she wasn’t, Director Comey would have been fired on day one and you’d be dancing in the street. I consider this the ultimate in hypocrisy……You Go Girl!

Back during the Ervin Committee hearings I was glued to the TV absorbing every word of testimony and commentary on the Watergate scandal then unfolding. I bought the party line from Cronkite, Woodward, Dean and the other bullshit artists of the day who I eventually grew to view as insider lackeys as I started to see the light on how the world actually works. Decades later I had the good fortune of reading Russ Baker’s chilling and amazing book “Family of Secrets” about the Bush dynasty. In it he chronicles with irrefutable logic that Watergate was a CIA plot to send Nixon packing and the public display I had bought hook, line and sinker was a fools charade. It was a major turning point in my development to break free of my “education”. So now I have no intention of accepting at face value what I’m being told is going down with Comey. To me it’s some palace intrigue that we’ll have to wait years down the road to see what scam was actually being played. Rest assured Comey will be replaced with another party loyalist.

Baker is-was-a mainstream journalist much in the same mold as Glenn Greenwald. In other words he actually is motivated by an honest search for the truth sans any preconceived notions. His stuff on the Bush’s family is eye popping and worth the read or listen. Plus it led to his coming to grips with the real story of the JFK assassination which will be the subject of his next book. Here’s a discussion on Family of Secrets:

Had to be there (the Nixon coup) to appreciate what you’re saying. Cronkite was a POS of the first order, a mouth piece for the TPTB. Far as I’m concerned he’s directly responsible for every American that died in VN from February 1968 onward. The Bush family? Anyone that hasn’t checked them out needs to do so post fucking haste. For God’s sake, the grandfather Prescott Bush, a US Senator was censured by the Senate for doing business with the Nazis while were at war with them. Great post CC. +1,000.

I still read bakers stuff. Used to send him a widows mite back when he was less known.
It’s odd that I just got done reading the myth of the rule of law on Straight Line Logic and the origins of the Neocon takeover at TheSakers blog. It all fits in neatly with this and Watergate.
The more things change the more they stay the same.
I was too far out to lunch to follow Watergate because I had bought the company line 20 years prior.

Dear Jim;

Just a quick note to offer my sympathy on your firing. Though our circumstances were somewhat different, I kind of know how you feel. I too had a President by the short hairs, so to speak. I too was fired. It ended badly for him, while I was applauded for not yielding my integrity. We shall see how it ends for you and your former boss. You probably don’t remember me. That’s ok, actually, and something else we will have in common because nobody will remember you in 40 years either.

Sincerely,
Archibald Cox

Comey never had Trump by the short hairs. If he had anything, he’d have produced it by now. If he had anything, Trump would worry about other people at the FBI leaking it (which is what Rosie O’Donnell and the rest of the democrat brain trust expects). There’s nothing to leak. There’s no there there. The whole “Russia” thing is bullshit. Comey’s firing PROVES that. The Dems used to know it was all bullshit. Now they started believing their own bullshit. 17 intelligence agencies, my ass. Trump has nothing to fear and he knows it. That’s why he fired Comey. Even better, the Dems are going to continue with “Russia” while Trump implements policies they hate. Whenever he needs cover, he’ll call some guy “comrade” and send them off into a tizzy. Squirrel !

Ok, fair enough. That’s your argument and that’s fine. I just happen to disagree with it. Here’s another argument I believe makes more sense:

Trump’s Firing of Comey

Time will tell, but I guaran-fucking-tee you that nothing will ever come of this Russia crap. When you strip away all of Hillary’s “17 intelligence agencies” hyperventilating (they must have included the Bureau of Indian Affairs and the Shriners to get up to 17), what are the libs even asserting – that Team Trump contacted the Russians and ASKED them to hack the DNC and Podesta and leak whatever they get to Wikileaks? Aside from being ridiculous, any such contact would have been discovered by the NSA well before Obama’s term ended. The only people who believe that Trump solicited Russian hacking (and the DNC was more likely a leak than a hack) are literal crazy people: Rosie O’Donnell, that butch leabian on MSNBC and Keith Olbermann. The sane libs are only feigning belief in some unspecified conspiracy. There’s nothing there. There is zero risk to Trump. Zero.

What I find interesting is that here is the man in charge of gathering intelligence, protecting the homeland so to speak, knowing everything about everybody yet is completely blindsided with being fired while speaking to other fbi agents. No one leaked nothing?

The reason he was fired is simple.

Comey was not Trump’s Homey.

There is a good deal of speculation that he was fired for dragging his feet on naming the “unmaskers” within the Obama administration, because, well, the legacy of the great and powerful Obama must never be sullied, and he that is guilty of such is a filthy racist. Obama was obviously spying on the Trump team for political reasons, and providing the proof of that is a death knell for Obama and his precious legacy.

“And the reason that’s a big deal is that everyone in the IC, in the intelligence community knows that there is no bigger, deeper, wider, extensive paper trail than there is when you unmask or identify an American citizen. And it should not take months. It should take weeks if not the course of several days to know who was unmasked and who made those requests and that has not been provided.” ~Catherine Herridge

The FBI never even interviewed Clapper or Sally Yates in an effort to try to find the leakers about Gen Flynn’s super-very-bad discussion with “The Russians”. He wasn’t even trying to investigate the only mutually-agreed crime that occurred (leaking about Flynn). Comey was totally full of shit and totally busted due to Yates / Clapper’s testimony last week. Bwahaha…

Rojam

There’s only one person to blame for the Flynn debacle and that’s Donald Trump. If Flynn is guilty, why did Trump hire him? If Flynn is innocent, why did Trump fire him?

The Russians probably did hack Hillary’s email. But did anyone consider that maybe the Russians thought Hillary was going to be the next President given the polling results. Russia just wanted to compromise and weaken her. It wasn’t about Trump, it was about Hillary.

Rise Up

That’s why the democraps are so pissed and want someone to blame. They can’t admit or even imagine that it was Clinton the candidate that was rejected, Russian hacking or not.

(1) Comey may have tried to protect the bureaucracy when Lynch hopelessly compromised herself and the Clinton email investigation for partisan reasons. Isn’t there a Lynch email where she says she (Lynch) will do “whatever it takes” to prevent a criminal investigation of Hillary? Why isn’t she being indicted this minute?
(2) Comey may have tried (as per Adams above) to fall on a grenade for good reasons. His reasons not to recommend indictment for Lois Lerner, Hillary, and various others grow weaker as the list of suspects grows. Why was there no indictment for Weiner for possession of classified information he was not cleared to see? What about the hopelessly corrupt Chuck Schumer, darling of Wall Street?
(3) Trump did not fire every Obama appointee the first day, nor since; there are probably quite a few Obama loyalists still in his administration. Does he keep them around as targets of opportunity? Sort of, “this week I need to do something important. I’ll fire another Obama holdover for a good reason, let the media and Democrats focus on that while I get something important done, and by the time anyone notices I’ll be on to something else”?

In 2005, James Comey, then an Assistant AG for Cowboy George, first fashioned the template for Treason. The former English Finance Minister, George Osborne, resurrected Comey’s Treason in 2012 and re-instituted it with AG Holder and Assistant AG Lanny Breuer. The Brooklyn Prosecutor, at the time, Loretta Lynch also signed on in 2012. Lynch is now the AG for Obama. James Comey joined the new effort to launder money for “sanctioned entities”, killing American and British Soldiers 6 months after the former English Finance Minister, George Osborne resurrected Comey’s original Treason. Both parties are in thrall to an illegal, criminal parasite: the Fraud that is English-based, Central Banking Cartel.

All the Plenary’s Men

Required reading, http://www.webofdebt.com, imo, Dr. Ellen Brown, is listed as the first researcher, among the credits, in the video, above. HSBC bank- a Chinese – English hybrid proves, in my post, below, a criminal laundry. The elements of “Law Enforcement”?, within my post, prove Treasonous behavior. HSBC is referred to, among banking as the English, “Crown Jewell”, even as they are corrupt to the bone. Our country is now and for some time, in thrall to an international, criminal, cartel, that is “English-based”. You may wish to disagree; so be it. In my post you may learn the British Finance Minister, George Osborne compelled American “Law Enforcement”?, to commit Treason, in order to conceal the behaviors of the “English Crown Jewell of Banking”. Our politicians have sold US all, on the cheap, to an international Scam that centers on “Mortgage Fraud”… of that, there is absolutely zero doubt.

The “deferred prosecution agreement” and criminal admissions of HSBC Bank were Booked in Sept 2012.

The agreed-upon, criminal behaviors, in what amounts to a plea bargain agreement, include: (Violations of) “TWEA- Trading With Enemies Act”; “BSA Bank Secrecy Act”; all “AMLs- Anti-Money Laundering Acts”; “IEEPA- International, Economic Emergency Power’s Act”.

The Moore Family of Philadelphia first exposed the DPA and Federal Judge Gleeson wrote the following analysis:

You may read the court document here:
Case 1:12-cr-00763-JG Document 23 Filed 07/01/13

The violations occurred in Brooklyn. Loretta Lynch signed for Brooklyn as Prosecutor on Dec 2012.

Lanny Breuer signed for Eric Holder as Assistant AG on Dec 2012.

So… Holder, Breuer and Lynch all know and 3 months after they conspired through the DPA to conceal their plea bargain, James Comey was placed on the Executive Board of the English – Chinese hybrid, HSBC- “Hong Kong Shanghai Banking Corporation”.

Of course, Eric Holder’s Law Firm, “Covington-Burling”, created the MERS and it has been used for over a decade to counterfeit titles to American Homes.

The counterfeit titles allowed the REMIC Trusts to be violated and Pension Funds to be robbed.

The REMICs- “Real Estate Mortgage Investment Conduits”, are now, instead, REMIFs- “Real Estate Monopolized Insurance Frauds”.

Holder’s MERS allows banks to “pretend” ownership of real estate, on “loans” the Pension Plans have already paid, in-full.

The banks then place the Assets (title to American Homes) in Shadow Trusts in the Cayman Islands (Google Bucketeering).

The banks then sit back and use the 30-day monthly payments to cleanse terror and drug money in the HSBC criminal laundry. Some “loans” are for 20-30 years (of payments, on titles, paid, in-full, by Pension plans, every 30 days).

The banks also use counterfeit title to place “Naked Short Sale Derivatives Bets” that Americans will default (go into foreclosure), so they can collect on the “Derivatives”, as “Insurance Pay-Offs”.

The banks also use counterfeit title to cheat all 3142 county recorders, across 50 US states.

This is one reason why there is zero money for representative government in places where children are poisoned to death because of the lack of fresh water… places like Flint, Michigan.

~Michael Keane 10/7/16

Holder’s law firm created the counterfeit machine that is the MERS- “Mortgage Electronic Registration System”. It is an imposter to lawful, as set by precedent, paper, wet-ink signature, original contracts, entered into county offices, as opposed to electronic, digitized COPY, entered into an electronic, privately-owned and operated, never vetted as legal, computer boutique.

Please contact me directly if you think an electronic copy of a contractual signature is the same as the original- I want to sell you a Babe Ruth-signed, baseball.

Read : http://scholarship.law.wm.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=3399&context=wmlr

Particularly p. 116. It describes the MERS as a “shell company” used to “pretend” to own American real estate. Read footnote 23, from p.116. R.K. Arnold, the CEO explains it his intention to “capture” every “mortgage” in the country.

(The author, Professor Christopher L. Peterson wrote the MERS critique while a law professor at SJ Quinney Law School, in Utah. He is now the chief counsel for enforcement of the CFPB.)

Arnold and the MERS now claim an “ownership” ability to transfer some 70 million American real estate titles, despite Arnold’s deposition in court he is the sole employee of his company.

Arnold’s claim he is the sole employee is refuted by some millions of rubber stamps he sold for $25.00 a throw that now show any number of mortgage-industry-insiders rubber-stamping forged documents that claim they are, in fact, MERS Employees.

Their position in the company invariably describes these frauds as “Senior Vice Presidents…

To a company the owner claims has no employees.

Holder and Breuer worked 8 Obama years and never prosecuted a single banker. Now, Holder and Breuer are back working for their old law firm, “Covington-Burling”, that created the hopelessly fraudulent MERS.

In fact, Holder’s other creation, “TBTF”, is yet another, intentional lie; read David Dayen, from “Livinglies”: https://livinglies.wordpress.com/…/david-dayen-eric-holder…/ .

https://livinglies.wordpress.com/2016/07/15/david-dayen-eric-holders-longtime-excuse-for-not-prosecuting-banks-just-crashed-and-burned/

Lynch, Comey, Holder, Breuer are all aware of the contents of the DPA as those criminal admissions are given in the name of Clinton’s Criminal Laundry of choice: “HSBC”, “Hong Kong Shanghai Banking Corporation”; a bank that supplied the Clintons 80 million from among a cast of the usual suspects within the banking industry http://www.salon.com/2012/09/14/clintons_no_liberal_hero/

So, 6 months after Two Attorneys General are aware an English-Chinese bank is laundering terror and drug money for known enemies of the US, killing our soldiers, the present FBI Director James Comey is placed on the executive board of that bank. Holder’s wife and Loretta Lynch are sorority sisters and Comey’s brother makes millions at the firm that acts as the Clinton’s accountant- just one big, happy family.

The current head of the FBI is engaged, along with the former, English Finance Minister, George Osborne, in behaviors that have resulted and are currently resulting in battlefield deaths of American and British Soldiers. James Comey and George Osborne are joined in Treason and Conspiracy, with Attorney General Loretta Lynch, past-Attorney General Eric Holder and his Assistant AG, Lanny Breuer. FBI inaction, coupled with DOJ inaction, have allowed funds from terror and drug cartels to be used to murder American and British Soldiers. These funds are linked to Iranian “Quds Forces”, among others and in particular to the use of IEDs and EFPs, as used against Coalition Forces in Afghanistan and Iraq. The American FBI is ignoring a criminal laundry, in the form of the “English Crown Jewell of Banking”, HSBC and has done for some time now. The result of their inaction has resulted in the murder of at least, some 1380 Coalition Soldiers, since 2005, in Afghanistan alone.

If you did an article on MERS, Admin might post it here. You should ask him.

If anybody isn’t familiar with MERS, it’s worth learning about if you ever plan on buying or selling property. You might want to learn about ‘title clearing,’ as well.

Every time I see something about MERS, I’m amazed that everyone involved isn’t in prison.

Not that this has much to do with the main article.
