It is my sincere desire to provide readers of this site with the best unbiased information available, and a forum where it can be discussed openly, as our Founders intended. But it is not easy nor inexpensive to do so, especially when those who wish to prevent us from making the truth known, attack us without mercy on all fronts on a daily basis. So each time you visit the site, I would ask that you consider the value that you receive and have received from The Burning Platform and the community of which you are a vital part. I can't do it all alone, and I need your help and support to keep it alive. A lot of good all those guns are… the country is being taken over while they just sit and rot.

Iconoclast, please provide details of everything you’re currently doing with your guns to prevent the takeover. I’m sure this list is quite extensive so I promise to set aside ALL DAY Sunday to read your inspiring list.

FWIW, my guns aren’t rotting at all. They’re clean, oiled and either loaded or ready for loading. Headed out to shoot a couple of them right now actually.

I think Iron is being a little sarcastic. Is he basically saying…what good is having the 2nd if you don’t use them for what the 2nd intended?

There’s a time and place for everything. Let TPTB kick off the right galvanizing event and they’ll learn what the 2A is for. Trouble is that even well meaning patriots will go after the wrong enemy because the the true enemy is mostly nameless and faceless. It will be a bloodbath and in the end the real enemy, through their puppets, will announce a “solution” to our problems and issues but the solution will just be more of the same in a prettier package.

So what ?? What’s the big deal ??I carry loaded guns in my commercial truck ,my private truck and I have loaded guns in our house.I stay with my mom and help care for her.She likes the idea of being prepared. So should you.
If I could I would teach little bb how to shoot. I’m sure he would like it.
Every man needs a good understanding mom and pet.Makes life so much better.

The owners may sit and rot, but I bet most of the guns will be just as functional in 50 years.
Don’t blame the guns, that sounds like the diatribe of the bradybillbunch.

I have kids in the house. All of mine have trigger locks on them 24/7. But, I didn’t buy guns for home break-ins. I only bought them for a SHTF scenario. In my opinion, one of the best decision you make regarding safety is location, location and location of where you decide to live.

If they can’t disarm you, they’ll try to scare you into disarming yourself. I’d rather have a claw hammer than an unloaded pistol. Suck on that one, statista.

A CDL student posted a question on a truckers forum asking if the drivers carried any weapons out on the road. One driver responded with “I carry a tire thumper, a screwdriver, and a ball peen hammer, but no weapons” lol

All travelers including truck drivers need to be aware of the firearms laws in every state they will be traveling. Legal transport of firearms varies quite a bit.

there are over 300 million guns owned by private individuals in the US. If one child is killed by gun accident per week as stated in the article, then the percentage of accidental deaths is .00000017. Every single one of those deaths IS a tragedy, but statistically they barely exist. My answer is to keep them loaded and handy, and train your kids in responsible gun handling. Mine knew gun safety and marksmanship by age 8. “You really never need a gun – until you REALLY need one bad”.

Who answers these surveys truthfully? If some stranger called me on the phone (& I didn’t flat out hang up on them) I sure as shit wouldn’t admit to even owning a gun, the same as when my doctor asked a few years ago.

Amazingly my kids grew up with loaded guns in the house (out of reach at first) & they still have all their fingers & toes, etc. They learned respect for firearms from the time they were able to walk.

Hollywood Rob

I agree with mr. long.

Speaking of locked and loaded, here is an article by Jeff Knox about the Castile verdict.

Castile Verdict, Bad – Carrying a Gun Should NOT Be a Capital Offense

So I guess 33% are just sitting around with a $700 blackjack in the closet.
