MUCK’S MINUTE #38

Muck’s Minute #38

A short comment on where Ol Muck has been and where he headed..

Yes, I know!  Been a while since a new Muck’s Minute has hit TBP but circumstances have piled up on me and at the present, I’ve got just enough snakes in the pit to keep me out of it.

Just to continue the #37:  Trump has now maneuvered himself to where he’s no longer just toast (a mentioned in #37) he has now placed himself into a position where, if he’s doesn’t change his ways, he’ll never finish his first term.  It will end with him and his Generals blockaded in the Oval office without a friendly face in sight.

I swear I’ve never seen anyone with such a big uncontrollable mouth, a shorter memory span than a bed bug, impulsive to a fault and a personality that is guaranteed to piss off anyone at any time by just twiddling his tweeting fingers.  No self control at all and it shines through everything he does or says.  He is personality driven and that personality happens to be his own.

Ah well…  We’re stuck with him for 3+ more years and it boils down to damage control by his staff (pity them) dashing around putting out fires he starts with thoughtless and unanalyzed blurts and tweets and unlimited rudeness to all and everyone.

But I digress.

Muck has been fighting cancer for 23 years; first, adult onset leukemia involving the spleen and controlled with radiation for 4 years. They were a  little slow in the diagnosis department and it took 4 years for them to get interested , diagnosed it 2001 and radiation series every 6 months for 7 years.

Then things changed..  It morphed into lymphoma, filling my guts with sheets of cancer and requiring a more aggressive treatment (with accompanying side effects).  That put me in remission for 7 years (you can not get rid of lymphoma – just knock it back far enough to call it “in remission” and then wait until it multiplies sufficiently to require further treatment (or die).

My lymphoma came roaring out of remission about two months ago and was diagnosed, after a body scan, some three weeks later..  Three days post scan, I was laying in an infusion center getting poison dripped into the vein for 6 hours.  The next 8 days were spent in bed, pissing into a bedside urinal, eating very little and thoughts of  peaceful suicide sliding around within what was left of my brain.

It’s been three weeks since the treatment, I’m up and delicate to point I maneuver from one point to the next with handholds along the way.  Sick puppy.  Chemo brain so bad I couldn’t remember from one minute to the next.  My best fighting weight is 170 pounds and conditioned by weekly workouts at the gym, walking daily and staying as active as possible. Over the past month I’m down to 138 lbs., a walking skeleton , deconditioned from head to toe and no way to start working it back to normal.

A week from Monday, the Doc will pump 6 more hours of drip into a nice new port (chem I/O) residing in my chest and I fully expect to be bed-ridden after that – hopefully for not as long.  I must get back to walking to maintain a semblance  of conditioning – at this time of year that means getting up at 0630 before it gets to damn hot to walk.  Do it a drive way at time, walking an extra driveway every day to enable me to at least take care of my personal hygiene and help my Sweetie out around here when energy permits.

This regimen continues – treatment, one month off, then another treatment for 6 months (into December) and then comes rehabilitation – walking first, then the gym once a week; building up to twice a week.

So please forgive Ol Muck for his lack of input to TBP.  With luck I’ll be back.  I’m sure going to work at it.

End

1) This was a Bash Trump Minute? I really don’t care about his personality, moral guidance or his tweets. Is he getting anything done? If so, support him.
2) I wish you much luck with your health.

Thank you very much, sir, for sharing your life with us. One of several repeating themes in the Twilight Zone is that man needs other people for company and for confirmation of his ideas, fears, hopes and dreams. You and many others have given of themselves experiences one could never achieve in several lifetimes.

I feel a certain affinity in that your loved one’s name. A special one has that name that I shall not utter without a twinge of regret. Yet here I read her name and smile at her strength and support and love for you. Perhaps I am confusing you but I know what I mean.

Even in that hospital room our mind’s eye travels to see you and hope you can hear our silent cheers, Go Muck! We are all rooting for you!

So Muck, my friend, what you are saying is that for a man of your exceedingly advanced age, you are in A1 condition!

For those of you unfamiliar with Muck, here is a picture of the dear fellow. It is a couple decades old now, so you have to allow for a bit of aging on old Muck.

Muck- seriously, it is so good to hear from you. I think of you often, and get concerned when there are gaps in your reporting in. You are a TBP treasure. Best regards to you and your dearest.

Come on let’s not over do it.After all he is or was a proud member of the atheist club of America that has made fun of my God on more than one occasion.

Herr Muck

I am DEFINITELY talking about bb.

The maroon doesn’t know when to just fucken STOP proselytizing. Sadder still, he thinks he’s doing da Lawd’s work. Then again, he has only a first-grade level understanding of the Good Book so, it’s to be expected.

Fungool. I am at a loss for words. Like you, I am not a religious man so, I can’t say I’ll pray for you.

However, Odin WAS successful in ridding Scandinavia of Ice Monsters. You might consider giving him a shout-out. One the bright side I hear he’s pretty easy to get along with. He doesn’t want money and there are no commandments and shit to follow. Well, except one; GET WELL SOON!!!!

I am thinking of you and hoping for the best. If you lived closer I’d stop by and hang out, maybe make you laugh

In Odin’s name,
Stucky

For reasons I can’t really explain, and for the longest time, I would scan by your posts without reading. But the longer I stuck around, the more I read them. I’m sorry for your troubles, Muck, but I will say that I am inspired by your tenacity and defiance in the face of your extremely difficult health concerns.

Keep raging against the dying of the light. Godspeed.

While I don’t recommend recreational marijuana, marijuana brownies work great in chemo patients to increase weight.

You should consider them.

I struggle with those who like everything about Trump except who he is – big mouthed, brash, outspoken, aggressive, etc. It’s almost as if the real point is to have something to complain about rather than pick a side. America’s enemies don’t have a problem picking a side. I just don’t see why this is so difficult. Good luck Muck. I’m not sure I would give a shit about politics if I were facing your struggles.

You strike me as the kind of guy that was made for adversity.

I know that there is no consolation for those who suffer, but I hope you know that a lot of people are pulling for you and send good thoughts your way even when you don’t know it.

And don’t worry about the bigger stuff, it’s going to happen on its own with or without us. Focus on yourself.

Trump has no support from those who should be supporting him.

Unless that changes, and changes soon.

he will be removed from office.

After which those responsible because they gave him no support will feign outrage about it.

But they will go along with it anyway, secretly pleased that they no longer have to face the prospect of actual change in the way politics is conducted in America.

Sorry to hear of your illness. Have you looked into the IV Vitamin C treatment founded by Linus Paulding? Seems that it works in some cases. Godspeed.
