Yesterday on Fox and Friends First, I said, “The truth is, the Democrats have a pretty poor history on Civil Rights, including Nancy Pelosi’s own father who was the Mayor of Baltimore — and was one of the people who dedicated statues to Robert E. Lee and ‘Stonewall’ Jackson, and in his speech said that they defended ‘sacred institutions.’ What are those ‘sacred institutions’? One of them is slavery.”
It is my sincere desire to provide readers of this site with the best unbiased information available, and a forum where it can be discussed openly, as our Founders intended. But it is not easy nor inexpensive to do so, especially when those who wish to prevent us from making the truth known, attack us without mercy on all fronts on a daily basis. I’ve been asked to share the details of Minority Leader Pelosi’s father and his involvement with these Confederate statues. Pelosi’s father, Baltimore Mayor Thomas D’Alesandro, Jr., spoke as the mayor at the dedication of a monument to Confederate Generals Robert E. Lee and Thomas “Stonewall” Jackson in 1948.
For those just waking up, here's what happened in Baltimore: the city's dead-of-night removal of all four of its Confederate monuments. pic.twitter.com/gaquP2hlqN
— Alec MacGillis (@AlecMacGillis) August 16, 2017
At the dedication, he said, “Today, with our nation beset by subversive groups and propaganda which seeks to destroy our national unity, we can look for inspiration to the lives of Lee and Jackson to remind us to be resolute and determined in preserving our sacred institutions.”
According to the Baltimore Sun, “The Lee-Jackson statue was erected in 1948 after a $100,000 donation from Baltimorean J. Henry Ferguson. Ferguson’s father was a friend of Confederate President Jefferson Davis.” Many believe that the statues erected during this time were to push back on the growing Civil Rights movement.
Baltimore’s current Mayor Catherine Pugh decided to remove this monument and others on Tuesday.
Pelosi has called for the removal of all confederate-linked statues in the Capitol Building, but has yet to denounce her father’s support for Lee and Jackson — nor has she condemned the racist roots of the Democratic Party. She also did not remove the statues when she was Speaker of the House.

Although Mrs.Pelosi has always demonstrated her simpleminded approach to politics from an extreme leftist agenda her actions and comments in recent years shows serious diminished mental capicity . This is probably dimensia of some form and degree that can no longer be hidden from view . If she is sick let’s help her with the affordable health care act but first let’s remove her ability to injure herself and others by removing her from office .
As for the statues : Baltimore was a southern city with Confederate leanings so the Union Army held Fort McHenry and trained the cannons from Federal Hill down on the city . This gave the towns people an ultimatum , Stay with the Union or go Confederate and be blasted to dust . They had mere hours or minutes to decide !
Nothing like the federal government with a gun held to your head to help you make the correct decision . Remember that on April 15th every year and the taxes you decided to pay is voluntary . LOL
As for Baltimore it’s like any other city now , pockets of prosperity surrounded by poverty and pathetic job oppurtunities for most . But some how statues of old confederate hero’s taken down is a fix . The real tax base of high paying blue collar industrial jobs are gone and the City government blathers about low paying jobs like they have some successful secret plan that $15 bucks an hour will make you a tax paying city homeowner . In the fabled words of LOUISE JEFFERSON “Negro Please”
Boat Guy, this is small time, we’ve got a lot more on Nancy’s dad if we ever decide to open the vault, lol.
Why didn’t all these fucking snowflakes and freaks give a flying fuck about all these statues when Barry Soetoro was president?
what are they trying to distract us from seeing or concentrating on as they orchestrate left wing activities and violence?
Only the ‘few’ understand.

“It is coup time or noose time; they are attempting to rile up the useful idiots of both ideological extremes with paranoia and disinformation in one massive play of identity politics to help undermine the duly-elected leader of the United States – the man who kept them from a total victory.
And that leader has all the dirt on them now.”
i love mark steyn, even though he is one of those evel joos-it would be great if canada would kick him out so he’d come here full time–
yesterday he hosted rush limbaugh’s show–he was ragging on the left and their tearing down the statues–
then he talked about taking robert lee the announcer off the air because of his name–
then he talked about stonewall jackson–
the gay rights movement is generally regarded as having begun at a gay bar in new york city in the late 60’s called the stonewall(inn, bar, tavern, not sure)–isn’t the name stonewall offensive?
what to do,what to do?
“She also did not remove the statues when she was Speaker of the House.”
This is the part that pisses me off the most. These statues have been around for decades and even centuries and their symbolism hasn’t changed in all those years, yet all of a sudden they represent a fucking moral outrage. None of this happened under Obama other than removing some flags and renaming some parks. Why? Because they didn’t want to put him on the spot of either having to defend the statues or take sides with the triggered communists.

Helluva note: We spend billions of dollars fighting the Taliban and ISIS while lauding the same anti-history behavior here.
Somebody please explain the difference between Antifa, BLM, Hitler’s Brownshirts and Mao’s Red Guard, okay?
And the Khmer Rouge
Just to add a detail or two: Pelosi was born into a Baltimore political dynasty. Pelosi’s father, Baltimore Mayor Tommy D’Alesandro, Jr., dedicated the statue in question, and Pelosi’s brother, Baltimore Mayor, Tommy D’Alesandro III (1967-1971), failed to take any action towards removing it even at the height of the Civil Rights movement in the late 1960’s. The 1968 Civil Rights Riots in Baltimore occurred on her brother’s watch as Mayor, btw, although I don’t know if Pelosi herself had moved to San Francisco with her husband by that time. One thing about her is that she came by her flaming hypocrisy honestly! As Mayors, both father and brother were neck-deep in the prevalent corruption of their days, some of which involved misuse and mismanagement of the Baltimore City Police.
TampaRed, Mark Steyn is a natural born Canadian citizen who also spent part of his life in the UK, but he has lived in New Hampshire, USA with his wife and family for quite some time. I believe his wife is American. He is of both Jewish and Catholic ancestry, but I don’t know what religion he himself practices, if any. His books and website are worthy reads.
cynic,
thanks for the correction-
i thought he was british and moved to canada to get away from the pc police, the way a certain tbp contributor ought to–
i knew about new hampisure but had forgotten about it until you posted it–
i’ve never heard him mention religion but i was kidding about the joo comment because of all the slamming that goes on here–
thanks again–
Understood, Tampa. I couldn’t remember if you were one of the Jew slammers here or not. My apologies. I’ve been a fan and avid follower of Steyn’s writing for years. As for escaping the UK, I’m sad to say you’re right about the increasing need for that. After living there for several years, and as much as I loved certain aspects of my life there (I’m an archaeology buff and a haunter of museums) and as cynical and pessimistic as I may be about America’s future, I honestly kissed the ground when I got back.
Being a hypocrite has never bothered a politician. That is especially true when they are given cover by the media.
