Muck’s Minute #41 (shortest on record!)

Direct TV’s joke on the Regulators

At one time, someone in the bureaucracy of the Federal Communications Commission told executives of direct TV (The satellite TV provider) that they could not broadcast RT – RT being Russian Television News.

So nowhere on Direct TV’s Guide will you find RT.  They obeyed the word of the law and RT is no where to be found on Direct TV many broadcast channels.

However – and here’s the kicker and where DTV broke the Spirit of bureaucratic Bullshit:

If you manually punch in and select channel 321 on your remote, guess what you will see?

RT Television in all its glory.

Go back to Guide and it displays that you’ve been watching some soapy blather on channel 322 when actually you were indeed watching RT television on Channel 321 (unlisted on the Guide or anywhere else that I’ve found!)..

So if any of you TBPers’ are subscribers to Direct Television, try manually selecting channel 321 on your remote, putting the satellite receiver on 321..  RT Television shold pop up most unexpectedly!

Just a hint from a very wet Muck About.

How would you accomplish this if you stream everything through a Roku?

On Roku, get the Pluto TV station. It streams multiple stations, including RT.

RT is still everywhere on television. Many PBS stations across the country even carry it on one of their digital (point something) channels on free antenna.

If you’ve never seen Erin Ade and her lovely legs on RT’s Boom Bust show, you are truly missing out.

Edit: I rarely watch tv anymore. I just learned that the lovely Erin bolted to CNN quite a while back. The bitch.

Hey Muck, glad you are OK.

If anyone has a smart tv, go to youtube and under search type in (RT Live Stream) and you can get it for free. Fox News, NewsMax, CNN, SkyNews, ABC, NBC, MSNBC etc, etc. all stream free on youtube.
Not sure about the guy with the Roku but if you can get youtube on that device, I would think you can stream RT also.

I watch Max & Stacy on RT, but I watch online. BTW did you read the DOJ is demanding RT register as a “foreign agent”? It’s utter bullshit; I’ve never seen RT put spin on any news; they’re brutally honest and that’s why I like them. AND if RT is forced to register as a “foreign agent” then what about Israel and the 1,000’s of their “foreign agents” scattered throughout America?

Try “One America News”. Not very polished but you’ll hear topics discussed that the lame stream media won’t touch.

OANN (One American News Network ) is Channel 347 on ATT owned DIRECTV. It is slightly to the right of Ivan the Terrible. OANN portrays Trump as the new conservative Messiah. It does correctly portray the liberals. I can’t understand why DIRECTV which doesn’t carry RT carries it.
