Current American Politics and the Madness of Crowds

I happen to be a minor scholar or American History – nothing approaching the renowned Andrew J. Neapolitano and such ilk but never in my life of 80 years have I seen such a sorry example of political blundering within the Executive, Judicial and Congress of the United States.

First, “Citizens United” made citizens out of every corporation in the country.  I can only hold my breath until they all get to vote.  Total Idiocy.

Then we have a President who obviously appeals (tweets) to the idiot rank and file of citizenry of what used to be a proud and upstanding country.  No, it appears we have two brands of nincompoops inhabiting this country.  Pseudo Liberals along the East and West Coast and Neo-Conservatives occupying great tracks of the “fly over” portions of this great country smack in the middle of it.

The Pseudo Liberals – those Americans who usurped the Classic Liberal label in hopes they could convince the rest of the country they were really libertarian, fair and open minded about things have taken over Eastern and Western States, colleges and ways of thinking so that uneducated students of their schools can cry and whimper about being persecuted, insisting upon “safe” cities in which to dwell (i.e. cities where illegal immigrants may dwell in safety, ignoring State and Federal laws), “safe” locations within within their campuses, towns and cities where accursed “Conservative” (read rabid, cruel, rude and unthinking) hoards of men and women and hurl original ideas, criticism and questions at the Classical Liberals who, in their tender states, may be permanently injured by such gross verbal abuse.

Oh, that such injury could indeed be inflicted upon the Liberal Left by the Libertarian Right.  Please! Note that I do not include “Right Leaning  or Left Leaning”  in my definition of political stances  currently posed by two completely out of touch political parties!  To me a “Leaner” be she/he, right or left is just someone who hasn’t the gumption or guts to stand up for what they believe in regardless of the tilt of their mental faculties.

There is one and only one Center Political of the Road thinker today.

She or he is a Libertarian.  Leaning neither to the left nor the right, a Libertarian is straight down the middle, leaving those who tilt off center to themselves while living a free free life and as much as possible – a life without conflict nor a life trying to force other people to behave, believe or conform to a way of living or existence other that a way that allows each to go their own way, honest, inspirational, industrious, helpful to others, productive and prosperous, hard working and useful; in other words, a Libertarian makes his own way in the world, not stealing from others, not forcing others to conform to their way of thinking or doing and above all, not cramming his or her beliefs down the neck of his neighbor.

That said, considering the number of rats in the box, we sadly are need of some sort of Government.

The trouble since governments began is keeping them honest.  The cupidity of the human animal is infinitely deep.  The majority of human beings are honest only when they are afraid of getting caught and punished.  Our democratic civilization is  slowly sinking into the muck under such garbage loads as “diversity”, “equality”, “fairness”, “equivalence”, and such crap.  All those left leaners expect EQUALITY of RESULT regardless of the capability of those tasked to do the job.  It WILL NEVER HAPPEN.  All men are not created equal.  We never were and never will be.  There are smart ones, dumb ones, average ones and idiots.

One can never expect equal results from efforts made by unequal people.  Doesn’t happen and won’t happen.

Same with Government.  Old saw..  There are no good forms of Governments. (This is because there are good, bad and stupid people running then).  Democracy just happens to be the best of the worst of them simply because more people get a say-so in how it’s run than any other form. I take no credit for that line.  It was first credited  as such:

It still remains so today.

Those who try to change it, do so because they think they’re smarter than anyone else (including those who thought it up) and can be “trusted” to tell everyone else what to to and how to do it.  Some are just power mad and must control all they see and all those who live around them and are called megalomaniacs for good reason.  RocketMan is a good example of a megalomaniac and survives because he can drag sufficient other people of power into the circle of jerks, perks and goodies to insure his survival.  One slip, however, and the megalomaniac vanishes like a puff of oily, smelly smoke.

Now that I think of it, there sure is a lot of smelly smoke coming from the areas around Washington. D.C. lately..

I’d like to restate one more time.  Libertarian is the only true center-of-the-road political philosophy  and the only true philosophy that holds up to any and all arguments from the left and the right.  The Left want no one to have to work,everything to be free and everyone run everything. (Remember TANSSAAFL?) The Right wants – well gee whiz – judging from the last year or two, I’m not sure what the Right wants. Suicide perhaps.

Maybe we’ll see in a year or two.  One thing for sure..  Twenty Trillion dollars of debt (ever growing)  will make those of all political persuastions a whole lot poorer in the very near future.
