I live in Florida and just got a similar letter. BC/BS offers our renewal rate at a mere 34% increase, bumping the premium from $1600 to $2150. O’care is set to implode.
I haven’t received the letter yet, but I’m expecting a 30% increase based on the general announcement for my state. That would mean $2000/month for coverage of my family with an ultra high deductible ($13,000 per person!) plan. OUTRAGEOUS!
We’re looking at whether we can get our income below the threshold for a subsidy, somehow.

This shit is outfuckingragiously insane. Over 3k a month? How about I just keep the money and fly to Asia or somewhere else where I can have a vacation and a check up at the same time? Then at least I’ll still have some cash left for food and house payments.

Just talking this morning to a friend of mine with a special needs child, his insurance is also going up 50%, deductible is now $7k.
He wanted to know if I knew what to do because I’m a small businessman…………no, I’m being fucked over too. I still believe the aca was designed to fail, once we endure all we can endure and demand government fix what they fucked up, then we’ll get what was always the goal. government run health care.

Add up all expected costs of insurance coverage then realize that it is much better to buy bitcoin or gold or silver ….. you will be making money hand over fist … what will be the end result? …. you will spend more time learning how to be healthy and stay healthy ….. real good idea …. cure for any and all diseases is available to the knowledgeable …. the lazy always die young … then again we all die … preparing for what you will be much longer than your being alive is probably a good idea …. we have all heard the inane statement ‘ignorance is bliss’ …. what we haven’t heard is before that sound bite there was ‘those who believe wisdom is folly’ ….
