It’s exhilarating in a way nothing else comes close to. You can actually feel your guts moving inside trying to get away from the edge.

Not recommended for people on medication, children or the elderly.

When America had a majority of real men, who got shit done. See he’s got a hard hat. He’s fine! OSHA and a myriad of other agencies would shutdown that project now indefinitely. Nearly all the other great projects built back then would never had occurred in today’s environment. Instead clicks and likes count as “economic activity”.

Iron workers at least are paid well for their dangerous work. Not so lucky are tree trimmers, cell phone tower workers and, receiving no pay at all, are those who climb for kicks.

Today safety harnesses are de rigueur for working at height though I’m curious about them. The important thing is to not slip and fall with or without a safety harness. Nik Wallenda, the tight rope dare devil said the harness he was FORCED to wear to do his Niagra Falls walk was cumbersome and made it harder for him to do his walk. OTOH there was the ‘Halfway to Hell’ club of Golden Gate Bridge iron workers who survived their falls because of the safety net strung under them as they built the bridge deck. I wonder how many of the men who fell were able to go back to work the next day?

I have a lot of respect for this guy as he has no rope attached like that previous photo with 4 guys standing on a pole with the hole in the middle.
